Bill proudly served in the United Stated Army.  He was a life-long carpenter by trade, and a beloved softball coach for many years.  He loved fishing and baking.  Bill loved over-feeding every cat, dog, and animal that he ever had.
He was preceded in death by paretns Mary White and Roland Brown, and brother Boyd Brown.
Bill is survived by wife, Debbie Brown; three daughters, Sherrie Brown, Missy (Will) Brown, and Angie (Aaron) Golden; beloved grandchildren, Brooke, Billy, Haley, Tasha, Lexi, Kaisha, Eddie, Williw, Johnny, and Isaiah; many step-grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Luna; siblings, Terri, Charlie, Bobby, and Tammy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Veteran of the United States Air Force.  Owner of Bruce & Sons Trucking.
Floyd enjoyed drag racing, old cowboy movies, candy, and his grandkids.  He was a pillar of the community, and could often be found assisting others with their home and auto repairs.  He was very clean, to the point of OCD, but it didn’t stop him from getting his hands dirty while helping others. He freely gave to others in need, whether it be financial or his time.  He was a “father” to many in need of a father figure and male role model.
Preceded in death by parents James and Peggy (Seward) Bruce, grandparents James & Anna Bruce and Stanley Seward & Hazel Seward-Henderson, and brothers Herman Bruce and Robert “Bobby” Bruce.
Survived by the love of his life, Carol Bruce; daughters, Summer (Bernard) Wright, Kathy Bruce, and Peggy Bruce; sons, Muata (Darlene) Fisher, Floyd (Rayshell) Bruce, Jr., Michael (Marlyn) Bruce, Lindsey Bruce, Nihcolus Bruce, Cortney (Helen) Shakur, and Shermon (Rachelle) Bruce; a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Darlene Bruce and Myra I. (Kym) Rispress; brother, James “Jimmy” (Guy A. Smith) Bruce; best friend, Larry; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Obituary Preview: Gregory Richard Backus, age 41, died on March 19, 2022, at his home in Columbus, Ohio.
Gregory was born on June 16, 1980, in Columbus, Ohio to parents Gregory S. Backus and Melanie (McKnight) Backus. He graduated from Columbus State Community College with a degree in Heating and Cooling (HVAC), then moved into a service technician position where he worked for about 11 years.
He was a great family man and a loving father. He was engaged to Dolly Matheny, and they were together for 7 years. Gregory loved the outdoors; some of his fondest memories were going to Kamp-alott in Bellefontaine, Ohio with his family to go camping, which he did since he was a little child. Gregory loved to cook and grill out, he loved to show off his cooking skills, and share his delicious masterpieces with his family and friends.
Gregory did not know a stranger and was more than willing to help anyone day or night. He would give the shirt off his back to a stranger and always giving whatever he had to the homeless. Gregory volunteered with homeless outreach meal programs to help those in need with a meal. Gregory would always look out for his customers and the elderly when providing service work for them, and try to reduce the cost when there was a need, often performing free service work.
He is preceded in death by daughters Brenda Lee Backus & Shylynn Nichole Backus, father Gregory S. Backus, grandfather Richard McKnight, aunt Brenda McNeal, and best friend Nick Joyce.
Gregory is survived by his fiancée, Dolly Matheny; children, Logan Backus, Nicholas Backus, and Payge Backus; mother, Melanie McKnight; grandmother, Sondra McKnight; brother, Jeremy (Maria) Backus; and stepbrother, Nathan Pyles.
Gregory will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Woodrow was born in Washington, D.C. on January 30, 1953 to the late Woodrow Sr. and Evelyn Roach.
In the 70’s Woodrow moved to Columbus Ohio to attend Ohio State University. While attending OSU, Woodrow was a member of the Buckeyes football team as a running back.
On November 25, 1983 he married his beautiful wife Deborah, whom he loved dearly. She was a loving and dedicated wife who cherished Woodrow until the very end.
Woodrow had a heart of gold. He wasn’t selfish, but was always concerned about the welfare of others. He will truly be missed. He may have left this earth, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Woodrow was preceded in death by his parents Evelyn and Woodrow Sr., eldest son Jason Lamar Roach, and his brother Nathaniel Roach.
He is survived by his wife Deborah; his sons Woodrow Allen Nathaniel Roach and Vincent Miller; siblings, Mary Branson (James), Mildred Henson, Shirley Roach, and Allen Roach (Priscilla); uncle. Willie Roach (Letha); eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
