Rocky Fox - December 22, 2010 - January 20, 2024

Departed: 01/20/2024 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: Rocky was born 12/22/2010. We went to look at the Dachshund puppies, that we saw online, we saw 1 female and 2 males from 1 little, and there were all nervous and shaking. And then Kelly brought out a little 6-week-old bundle, he was a little gray/brown boy and he looked at us like he was saying "hey, I like y'all". I held him a little while and handed him to my husband. And looked at the other pups and looked back at the little gray/brown bundle that at this time was laying on my husbands chest sleeping. And asked my husband "Which do you like"? My husband said "This one." I think the little gray/brown bundle had told the other pups "This is MY people, they will choose me not you. RUFF"
That is how our LOVE STORY began with Rocky "the Rocketman" Fox. He went to daycare at Great Doggie Doos and Goin to the Dogs, every day. He had a best friend Bo; a little white Westie at Great Doggie Doos. He loved to play with the children at Great Doggie Doos and he protected the Ladies at Goin to the Dogs. He went everywhere we, his parents, could take him. He loved to ride in his Baby buggy and people watch. He was outgoing and wasn't scared to share his voice. He loved to watch TV, especially horses and dogs, he was hooked on TV. He could tell time because starting at 8 pm every night he would start asking for treats. He was the sweetest and best little Boy Baby, our Rocky "the Rocketman" Fox. Love his Parents, Mom Kris and Dad Bill Fox

Rudy Smith - August 01, 2007 - May 03, 2018

Departed: 05/03/2018 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: Rudy closed his eyes for the last time on May 3, 2018 at the age of 11 years old. He passed with his pet
parents present to comfort him and bid him goodbye. Rudy was our “little boy” and he will be missed immeasurably. While not as healthy and robust as others that have shared our home, his love and companionship were unequaled. The loss of how he loved to be petted and his incessant purring will leave a hole in our lives that will take a long time to
heal. Our house feels empty without the yowl of him playing with his stuffed baby, his scratching at the garage door to get in each morning and him trying to lead us to his food bowl to “rub his head” while he ate. He filled our house and hearts with so much love. While he may have only been here for part of our
lives, we loved him his whole life. Our lives go on and our grief will eventually fade but the memory of Rudy’s love, affection and purring
will live on in our hearts forever.

UMA Benfer - January 04, 2007 - August 28, 2017

Departed: 08/28/2017 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: UMA Benfer, Service Dog, GSD, AKC January, 04, 2007 - August 28, 2017
A beautiful, loving spirit returned to her Creator too soon. UMA chose me to be her person, becoming my Companion, my Guardian, and my Helper. She filled my life with love and joy and laughter for almost five years. UMA had many friends who will miss her and her loving ways. She loved being given the "FREE" command; then going to people who needed doggy hugs, sharing her loving, snuggly self with them. She loved visiting Fire Departments, Veterans facilities, Assisted Living facilities, charitable organizations, our neighbors, children, elderly, - wherever and whenever she could give hugs and snuggles and comfort. She was incredibly smart. She had a sense of humor! I learned much from her.
UMA fought a short valiant battle with hemangiosarcoma - a rapidly growing, highly invasive, aggressive, malignant tumor of the blood vessel cells. A devastating diagnosis! A devastating disease! A devastating, heart-breaking loss.
UMA was a wonderful Mobility and Balance German Shepherd Dog with Cardiac Alert skill as bonus! She saved my life twice by alerting me to silent, life threatening MIs. True to the best of her breed, UMA lived to love, to serve, and to protect her person!

Maggie Ledbetter - December 16, 2008 - May 06, 2017

Departed: 05/06/2017 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: Maggie was truly a bundle of love, joy, and energy, with a personality that made her the best companion anyone could ever dream of. Maggie has been a very special member of our family since January 25, 2009 until she unexpectedly left us last week after a sudden illness. She was always a very small Shih Tzu, weighing 8 pounds at the most, so people always thought she was a puppy. Maggie had several nicknames, but our favorites were Sweetie, Squirt, Shorty,
and Squirt-Os. Maggie was a prissy little girl, always strutting around, especially after getting a new hairbow at the groomer. She would often pose like a little ballerina with her left foot turned out. With her
short legs, she couldn't climb more than two stairs, but she loved being carried around and held. Indoors, Maggie enjoyed playing tug-of-war, chewing bones, playing fetch with her ball and her toys that squeak and crackle. When she wasn't playing, she would either be at the front door watching over the yard or resting in your lap being petted. Outdoors, Maggie enjoyed exploring and sniffing around the neighborhood, bouncing around with larger dogs who soon learned she was the boss, and chasing off deer, squirrels, birds, cats, and any other wildlife she encountered. On nice days, she also enjoyed sitting on the porch or in the driveway watching
over the neighborhood while listening to all of it's sounds. Maggie had a unique special bond to each of us, loving us all unconditionally. We could always count on Maggie to be waiting by the door barking excitedly when we got home, quickly alerting us to anyone or anything outside, waiting patiently in the kitchen while we cooked, relaxing on the bathmat while we showered, comforting us when we weren't feeling well, and wanting a bite of whatever we were eating. Her favorite foods were chicken, turkey, potatoes, eggs, macaroni
& cheese, peanut butter, biscuits, pancakes, and ice cream, but not all at the same time. Maggie was able to see many places and meet lots of people, as she always enjoyed being with us. She loved convertible rides, running errands while going into any store that she could, watching the rabbits and gerbils at pet stores, and visiting the bank, pharmacy, and restaurant drive-thrus. Sometimes she wouldn’t wait for an invitation, but would eagerly lead us to the car to go wherever. Maggie never met anyone that didn't instantly want to pet her or take her picture. Even though she was never excited about going to the vet, she always enjoyed the
care and special attention that she received from all of them there. Maggie's incredible charm would undoubtedly brighten up any room. She had an irresistible furry face with big beautiful eyes and a tiny wet nose. Holding and petting her was the most
relaxing thing. We'll never forget seeing the joy in her eyes and hearing her cute little noises. Home isn’t the same anymore since she's no longer around in everything that we do. She helped us to be better people and showed us love, always. Maggie was our sweet little girl, she will forever have our hearts, and we will always cherish the love, happiness, and memories that
we shared together.
Our Sweet Little Maggie, we'll always love you and miss you...

Husker Fister - September 21, 2006 - January 12, 2017

Departed: 01/12/2017 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: Herbie the Husker Fister received his angel wings on Jan 12, 2017. Husker was a fan of napping, snuggling, eating food, going on car rides, visiting his Nannie’s house and Nebraska football. While Husker was with us he had more love than he could ever have possibly imagined…but he gave us just as much. He was more than just our pup. He was our son and our friend and a constant in our home for over 10 years. To some Husker was “just a dog” but to us he was our baby. We hated to say goodbye after what felt like such a short life, but we know that for the first time in a long time he is running and jumping and playing like the puppy he thought he still was. The hole he is leaving in our family is something that will not close and he will never be replaced. While we miss him immensely we know that he was greeted by our son and daughter and countless others that left before him. Mommy and daddy love you so much, dude. You’re part of our hearts…always.

Max Hall - January 01, 1998 - December 26, 2016

Departed: 12/26/2016 (Cleveland)
Obituary Preview: Max Hall 1998-2016
Max gained his wings on Dec 26th, 2016 at the age of 18 years old. Max was a true gift from God and he will be missed dearly. He had over came many ordeals in his life where he cheated death, so many times that we had often joked that he had 21 lives not 9. But this last time His poor tired body just could not handle any more. Max was a true brave soul and a fighter all the way up to the end. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and as he took his last breath he took a little part of us all with him. Life as we know it will never be the same, the house feels so empty with out the clicking of his claws on the hardwood or his meow as he is waiting to be fed. He filled the house and our hearts with so much love. He may have only been here for part of our lives but we loved him his whole life. You Know 18 years seems like a long time to have a pet until you have to say goodbye, then you realize it just wasn't enough. With that being said, Max stay close in our hearts and walk with us daily. You were far more than a pet, you were family and my best friend all the way to the end. It will take time to heal, time for us to stop looking for you, time for us to accept your gone but no amount of time will ever take the love we have for you away.
