Kenneth Raymond Kesner - July 26, 1944 - April 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: Kenneth Raymond Kesner, 79, passed away at home in rural St. Clair County with his family at his side.
Kenneth was born in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, on July 26, 1944, to Chaney and Mary Lee (Carpenter) Chaney. He graduated from High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served in the Navy serving on multiple aircraft carriers and did two tours in Vietnam. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service to his country. During his time in the Navy, he married Beverley Ann West in August of 1965, in California. They celebrated their 58TH Anniversary last August. After retiring Kenneth went to work for the Monongahela Power Company in West Virginia, as an Electronic Scada Technician and retired in the summer of 1998.
Kenneth and Beverley moved to their rural St. Clair home in early 2000. He was the father of 5 boys and 3 girls. He enjoyed fishing on Truman Lake which was right at the back door of their home. He was an extremely talented and capable woodworker on a variety of different projects. When he built it with wood it was put together to last the test of time. He did not put it together with screws or nails. They were mortise joint or dado joint or a miter joint, whatever was the correct type of joint for the project. He built with hardwood on most all his woodworking projects, and walnut wood was his favorite. He also craved wooden ducks.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Beverley, his 8 children, and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many other families and friends.
He was preceded by his parents. Kenneth was the last of their surviving children.

He will forever be remembered by his faith in God, wisdom and his undeniable humor filled with fun, love, and whit. Jerry’s love for the great outdoors gave to many years of backpacking, camping, hunting, fishing and most of all shooting guns with his grandkids.
Jerry is survived by his amazing spouse of 50 years Dorene, their two daughters Jennifer (John) and Samantha (Roger) and four incredible grandchildren Jordann, Jude, Kolby and Joshua and his two forever companions Apache and Shianne.

Ruby was born in Carrollton, Missouri. On August 16, 1939, to George Clapper and Freda “Powell” Clapper. She went through 8th grade in school. Then she went on to the adult life and did many different jobs over the years, but floor covering installation was the one she enjoyed and lasted the longest. Ruby and Norman Lee were married on April 22, 1978, in Kansas City, Kansas. They had 45 Years of marriage and were coming up on 46.
Ruby was a housewife if you asked her. She had one natural born son and helped raise 13. She was a great cook and caregiver to not only the young ones in her life but also the older ones who needed her. She gave all of herself to others around her. Ruby bought the Thrush Store and made it an Antique Store and Kitchen. She served meals to many, especially the deer hunters over the years.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Norman Lee; sons, Ken (Melissa) Phegley, Danny (LeeAnn) Lee, Norman (Buzzy) Lee; daughters, Cindy Schlein, Tina Lee, and Keri Kepler; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents George and Freda Clapper; sisters, Georgia King, Sharon Prather, and Sue Miller; brother, Billy Clapper.

Sheila Grace Petersen was born on Feb 18, 1962, at the Blair, NE hospital.
She was the 3rd child of Gary M. Petersen and Joy Dixon Petersen.
She loved to smile, and her first ones were directed towards her sister, Sherry and brother, Shane. Those smiles continued to be given to everyone she had contact with over her lifetime.
Sheila graduated from Blair High School in 1980. She had many careers but the one she loved the most was being the mom for her children, Shay and Micheala and grandmother to her fun Fiona.
She was with her family at North Kansas City Hospice Center when her Jesus called her home on April 1st.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Ron Martin; son, Shay (Jenn) Welshofer; granddaughter Fiona; daughter, Micheala, and her fiancé Jonathan Bottiger; mother, Joy Petersen; brother, Shane (Kathy) Petersen; nephews and niece; step-daughters, Christol (Benji) Marcum, and Courtney Martin; grandchildren, Carsen, Cayden, and Landen Marcum, Jaston Wolfe, Rynlea and Trexton Knight; as well as other family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her sister, Sherry; Her Forever Dad, Merle Petersen; Grandparents, Elmer and Marguerite Dixon and Elmer and Gwen Thone.

Steven was born on February 3, 1995, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Christopher Mentzer and Christina Lucier. He spent part of his youth in Clinton, Missouri, before moving to Kansas City with his mother. He worked in residential construction as a labor for a remodeling contractor.
Steven was taken too soon. He loved his children and spending time with them as often as he could. He loved the outdoors, skateboarding and fishing. He could make you laugh no matter what the situation was. He could light up the room. He would give you the shirt off his back even if he was struggling himself. Steven was unpredictable in many ways, but it was good ways. He would tell you that he was coming at a certain time and show up early. He would show up unexpectedly, bring a surprise, or do something for you even without asking. One of the good ones taken in the prime of his life, he certainly will be missed.
Steven is survived by his mother, Christina (Donovan) Lucier; 2 sons, Cayden Mentzer and Blake Mentzer; 3 daughters, Rosaleigh Martin, Chloe Mentzer and Karleigh Mentzer; 2 brothers, Brandon Mentzer and Anthony Mentzer; many other family and friends especially the Lindsay’s and Dorman’s.
He was preceded by his grandparents.
Memorial Service will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 7:00 PM. Service will be at Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd St., Clinton, Missouri. " A portion of the service will be open for individuals in attendance to offer a Eulogy for Steven. If you are interested in and are planning on delivering a Eulogy. Please write it down so you have it to reference when you are delivering it to the others. Emotions and speaking in front of others can effect the ability to remember what you want to say". She was preceded by her parents, Ralph and Bessie Green; son, Bobby King; brothers, Frank, Tiny, and Ralph.
Celebration of Life will be Sunday, March 24,2024, at 3PM until the conclusion. It will be held at 1290 Hwy FF, Osceola, Missouri, 64776.

Jacob "Jack" M. Burgers - July 24, 1956 - January 29, 2024

Obituary Preview: Jacob “Jack” Burgers, age 67, passed away January 29, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Jack was born July 24, 1956 to Jacob “Jake” and Gesina “Tina” (Kiezebrink) Burgers in Sibley, IA. He graduated from Western Christian High School in 1974. He moved to Sioux City, IA in 1980 where he started raising a family with two children; Jennifer was born in 1986, and Jake was born in 1989. Jack married Dena (Peterson) Burgers on June 17, 2004.
Jack worked 34 years as a firefighter on the Sioux City Fire Department (“SCFD”) from 1981 to 2015, climbing his way up to Lieutenant before his retirement. His work on the SCFD was challenging and rewarding, allowing him to help many people in dire emergencies. For example, he and fellow first responders helped save 184 passengers and crew in the United Airlines Flight 232 crash in 1989. He also worked as a part time farmer of approximately 80 acres of corn and soybeans in Plymouth County, IA. Never one to sit still, Jack also worked part time as a truck driver during his firefighting career and through his retirement – most recently working for Hankins Grain Co. in Clinton, MO.
Jack was a strong, active, and loving husband, father, and grandfather. A man of many stories supplied by growing up working with his father and brothers on their family farm and his 34 years on the SCFD, Jack could always be found talking with family, friends, or strangers. He was a John Deere-enthusiast and entered many tractor pulls with his John Deere Model G dubbed “Backdraft.” Jack loved warm weather activities such as biking, boating, fishing, golfing, pickleball, tennis, and hosting pool parties. Jack and Dena also enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Hawaii. He enjoyed pranks, (terrible) dad-jokes, and never lost his sense of humor throughout his illness with cancer. Jack was a source of entertainment and happiness for all of those lucky enough to know him, and he will be deeply missed.
Jack is survived by his wife, Dena; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Jones; son Jacob “Jake” (Shannon) Burgers; two stepdaughters, Lindsey (Mark) Wiemer and Wendy (Alex) Brown; stepson Joshua “Josh” Flewelling; two grandchildren, Jackson Jones and Mason Jones; and brother Dick Burgers.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his stepmother, Clarene (Vander Plaats) Burgers; brother, John Burgers; and infant sister, Catherine Burgers.

A very focused and driven individual, he saved multiple food service companies over the years. William was a Golf-Pro in Phoenix, Arizona for many years. He was a great Patriot, Husband, and Father.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Parsons; sons, Sean (Mandy) Parsons, Glendale, Arizona, Damon (Michelle) DeLuca, Wesley Parsons, Texas; daughter, Tawny Menges, Amarillo, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 great great- grandchildren; brother, David (Susan) Parsons, Pheonix, Arizona; as well as several other family and friends.
He was preceded by his parents, William and MaryAnn Parsons, son Steven Parsons.
The Family wishes to express there Thanks to Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation, as well as to Three Rivers Hospice for their exceptional care and love for Jim.

John was born July 7, 1935, in New Cambria, Missouri to Roy and Elizabeth (Smith) Grable. John moved on with life at an early age. He married Winifred “Winnie” Mahaffey, June 15, 1957, in Shelbyville, Missouri. He worked as a mechanic on John Deere equipment.
John loved to fish and travel. He was part Cherokee Indian. He spent many days at swap meets and ran a flea market on 7 Highway for a while. He made and delivered concrete yard ornaments. He and Winnie were caretakers at Eagles Nest campground. John and Winnie had been Texas snow-birds for the last few years.
John is survived by his wife Winnie; daughter, Clara (David) Geisert, of Osceola, Missouri, son Randy (Enedelia) Grable, of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
He was preceded by his parents Roy and Elizabeth Grable; and son Michael Grable.

Janet was born August 17,1954, in Peoria, Kansas, to Shirley (McCoy) Hoover and Loyd Hoover. She graduated from High School in 1972. Janet married Ray Hickcox in 1972, and they shared life and raised a family together until his passing on March 19, 2014. She received her certified nursing assistant certification and worked several years at the Osceola Hospital in the maternity ward. She retired from Shriber Cheese in 2013.
Janet was the person who took care of everyone, she was a nurturing caregiver. To the point that she did not do for herself quite often. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. She loved all children. Janet collected pigs of all kinds, she had them inside and outside in many different sizes. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Janet is survived by her sons, Ray (Travis) Hickcox and Ken (Rae Ann) Hickcox; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis O’Brien, Sharon Aldridge, Glennis Precht and William “Bill” Hoover; as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents, Loyd and Shirley Hoover; her husband, Ray Hickcox; and brother Robert “Bob” Hoover.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM. At Parks Chapel Baptist Church, 1023 SE 450 Road, Clinton, Missouri 64735.
Private family inurnment at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery. Her final resting place will be with her husband. Will take place later. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Janet Hickcox Grandmother Memorial Fund. The money raised will be used to take the grandchildren on a child’s adventure in memory of grandma!
The family also wanted it to be known the Janet was not a fan of cut flowers. Janet would say “why kill such a beautiful flower for a brief time of enjoyment”. The family would prefer live plants, fake flowers or donate to the Grandmother Memorial Fund for her grandchildren.

Obituary Preview: Mary Frances Brand, 87, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Ridge Crest Nursing Home in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Mary was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on February 17, 1936, to George Utter and Elizabeth (Fleshman) Utter. She sang in the choir at Brown Road Methodist Church at the age of three and enjoyed singing throughout her life. She was baptized at the age of 12, at the 1st Central Church of the Brethren, Kansas City, Kansas. She played the violin until she was in the ninth grade, she studied with Dr. Young of the Philharmonic.
Mary graduated from Central Missouri State University, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in business administration. Mary was an independent contractor for Home Interiors & Country Peddler. She began her career as a social worker in Kirksville, Missouri. She was a Child Advocate, Investigator and Home Services Representative for Missouri, Division of Family Services. She served in Johnson County, Vernon County and Cass County.
In the 60’s she was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She served as President and Campaign Chairman for Henry County. She served as a Grey Lady and on the American Red Cross Board for several years. She volunteered at the old Wetzel Hospital and Golden Valley Hospital. In 1963, she became a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She received the Order of the Rose, and Life Membership awards. Through the years she served several chapters and enjoyed the wonderful friendships she made and retained.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Lyle) Walters of Warrensburg, son, Mark (Tammy) Smarr of Newfield, New York; grandchildren, Davy Smarr, Stacey Kala Nyx, Charlotte Hollingworth, Craig Walters, Robert Walters, Dustin Smarr, Nathan Smarr, Amber Collins and Jacob Smarr; siblings, Ginger Scott of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, John Utter of Kansas City, Kansas and Arthur Utter of Olathe, Kansas.
She was preceded by her parents, George and Elizabeth Utter; 2 sons, David Smarr and Charles Smarr; sisters Opal Paine, Ruth Scheuler, Dorothy Nixon, Anna Lynch and Carolyn (Susie) Blomquist, and brother, Richard Utter.
Services will be held Friday, January 5, 2024, at Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd street, Clinton, MO. 64735. Visitation at 12:00 PM, Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment at Englewood Cemetery immediately following funeral service.

The daughter of Henry and Iva (Proctor) Roemerman. She married Robert Brown on September 7, 1947 and to this
union, three children were born. Martha loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
and watching them play sports. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye sports fan and a member of the Bunco club for over 50 years. Martha was an active member of the Eldon United Methodist Church in Eldon, IA for more than 50 years and then the Windsor United Methodist Church for the past 13
years after moving to Missouri to be near her daughter. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Cyndy (Nick) Adam, a son Rick Brown, and brothers Henry Roemerman, Jr and Donald Roemerman
and sisters Irene Selix, Mary Alice Thompson, Marjorie Johnson and Leora Warrick. She is survived by a daughter Melanie and husband Henry Johnson of Calhoun, MO Grandchildren Shawn (Staci) Adam of Eldon, IA, Jeff (Leah) Adam of Batavia, IA, Nicole (Brandon) Humston of Baxter, IA, Kody Johnson of Rock Island, IL, Dillon Johnson of Niceville, FL, Jacob Brown, Arien Brown, and Noan Brown. Sixteen Great
grandchildren. Celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the
Eldon Methodist Church in Eldon, IA with visitation from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Batavia Cemetery, Batavia IA. Memorial contributions in Martha’s honor may be directed to the Eldon United Methodist
Church.

He loved his country and Proudly served it for over twenty years of active duty in the Air Force. For this we “Thank” him.
He loved to bowl, fishing, music and animals. He enjoyed taking his wife Mary to the casino. They traveled to Branson for the shows. For him it did not matter what they were doing, he enjoyed sharing it with Mary.
Archie is survived by his children, Jason (Tanja) Gibson, Jennifer (Chris) DeWitt, Jonathan (Samantha) Gibson, and Michelle Conner; grandchildren, Jason Jr., Debreona, Jordan, Caylee, Josiah, Harper, Joshua, Melissa and Misty; great grandchildren, Violet, Lexi, Gatlin, Asiah and Rodney; Debbie Gibson; and many other family and friends.

Lois was born in Encinitas, California, on July 16, 1940, to John Horace Martin and Hazel (Bush) Martin.
Lois married Tillman “Fred” Frederick Schuck in Vista, California in 1986. Fred wrote the following. “I met Lois in San Diego, California. We lived there until we moved to Clinton, Missouri. I was an airline pilot at the time. We traveled a lot and flew many hours in our twin-engine beech craft. After 30 years as an airline pilot, we retired to our farm north of Clinton. We raised goats, llamas, donkeys, cows and produced hay. Lois had her own business on the square, Kiddin Around (spinning, weaving, and needle art). Lois had 80 years of healthy life, the last three were not kind to her. I will miss her, but hope she is in a more comfortable place. God bless you and thanks for the good times and fond memories. Love You Forever, Fred”

Jesse made friends wherever he went. He loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. He was the Jokester. He was generous to a fault, he always helped others even when he had something else to do. The Chiefs were his number one team. He loved to collect shirts, shoes and hats.
He loved his daughter Skylar most in the world, besides his momma and fiancé Jamie. He called himself the mushroom king, and he was right. He found gallons of mushrooms last spring. He loved fishing and hunting with his friends, and always had a great time wherever he went.
He visited his dads grave every week and talked to him daily. He missed him so much. I can hear Wayne saying "Damn It Boy".
Jesse is survived by his mother: Christina "Tina" Raybourn; daughter: Skylar Raybourn; fiancé: Jamie Vogel; sister: Jennifer (John) Sanjean; as well as several other family and friends.

Obituary Preview: Agnes (Aggie) Louise Heaton, 95 of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, (formerly of Clinton) passed away October 17, 2023 at Princeton Senior Living Memory Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Agnes was born on July 14, 1928 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, to Roy Gemmiel Faulkner and Jennie Irene Moody Faulkner. She grew up and attended school in Cedar Falls, Iowa, graduating in 1946. On January 23, 1948, she married Gene Oliver Heaton in Great Lakes, Illinois. During their years of marriage they lived in Waukegan and Zion, Illinois; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; McComb, Ohio; Denver, Aurora and Fort Morgan, Colorado; North Platte and Scottsbluff, Nebraska; Chillicothe, Clinton, and Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
After high school, Aggie moved to Great Lakes, IL to work at Great Lakes Naval Base. After Gene was honorably discharged from the Navy, Aggie worked for the U.S. Air Force Logistic Medical Office in Denver, Colorado while Gene attended college. Aggie worked as a stay-at-home mom taking care of their three children while Gene worked for Phillips Petroleum Company. After staying home for 15 years, Aggie and Gene made a life change and bought the Central Motel in Fort Morgan, Colorado and moved the family there. In 1972 they sold the Central Motel and bought the Colonial-Best Western Motel in Clinton, Missouri, They sold the Colonial Motel in 1975 and bought a laundromat and car wash located in Clinton which they owned for a short time. After selling the motels, Aggie began working for the for the State of Missouri, Division of Employment Security, as an Employment Service Technician and retired in 1990 after working for 15 years.
Their first son, James Heaton arrived in 1956, their second son, Thomas Heaton in 1958 and their daughter, Anne Heaton, in 1961.
Aggie learned to play the piano as an adult and enjoyed having a pet parakeet, three dogs and continual cats throughout her marriage. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, volunteering, square dancing, golfing, and camping. She also did some cross stitch, quilting and painting. During retirement Aggie and Gene enjoyed traveling around the United States as well as Europe, Mexico, Alaska, Canada, and Spain. She volunteered at the Clinton Hospital and the Henry County Museum. While living in Clinton, they were active members of the Clinton United Methodist Church and Clinton Country Club. Aggie also enjoyed helping out her children by watching her grandchildren when needed and attending their school and sporting events.
Aggie helped care for her middle son, Tom, while he fought colon cancer until passing in 2017. In October of 2015 Gene and Aggie moved to Carlyle Senior Living in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and then in 2022 to Princeton Senior Living in Lee’s Summit.
Aggie was married for 75 years to her husband, Gene, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2023. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Jay Heaton, her parents, Roy and Jennie Irene Faulkner; brother, Willis McMichael; and sister, Ila Kelley.
Agnes is survived by her son, James (Jackie) Heaton of Warrensburg, Missouri, daughter, Anne (David) Millam of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Wayne (Barbara) Heaton, along with several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Princeton Memory Care staff and Traditions Hospice for their tireless care and support.
A combined service for Agnes and Gene Heaton will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Consalus Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri. Family visitation will be held immediately following the service. A private burial will be held at a later date.

She loved camping and spoiling her grandson. Jill was a strong independent individual. She had the best laugh and gave the best hugs.
Jill is survived by her husband, Robin Burtchett; daughter, Kristen (Keith) Snell; grandson, Ezekiel Snell; sister, Gayla Rice; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded by her parents, Dick and Barbara Hickman.

He worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Chapter 124 until retirement in 2008.
Gary married Terri Watson on November 15, 1996, in Miami, Oklahoma. He loved fishing for crappies on Truman Lake. He would go to Maun Tauk and Branson to trout fish and went to Mississippi to fish for crappie. Gary learned at a very young age how to clean fish, and he had his own way of cleaning all the different types of fish that he caught. He would spend countless hours researching the different things that he was going to buy before purchasing them. Anything from mattresses to fish finders, boats, or anything else that he was interested in buying.
Gary is survived by his wife, Terri McGill; daughters Pamela Taibi, and Camie (Lon) Walsh, son Gary (Buddy) Lee McGill Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Roe, Judy Ford, Patricia (James) Dunkle, and brother, Michael (Mary) McGill; as well as several other family and friends.

Gary was born December 15, 1957, the son of Estel Leonard Shroder and Marguerite Frances (Hollis) Shroder. He was born and raised in Henry County, Missouri, spending his life in the rural Urich area. Gary leaves behind daughter Amanda (Shroder) Sargent and husband Jeff, son Jason Goltz and wife Samantha, daughter Brandy, grandchildren Abbigail (Sargent) King and husband Jake, Elijah Sargent, Tristen Goltz, Karli Sargent, and Caleb Goltz, brother Walter David Shroder, sisters Diana Polzin and Penny Sargent, and close cousins Carla (Shroder) Crump and Jerod Crump. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Estel and Marguerite Shroder.
Gary was hard-working from an early age. He loved everything about farming, gardening, mechanics, livestock, and music. He spent his life working with his hands farming, as well as some years with Clarkson Construction. Gary had a creative spirit and was talented in many ways. He was a wonderful woodworker and craftsman. He particularly loved to make special things for his grandchildren. Gary enjoyed hunting, especially with his grandchildren, family gatherings, and playing his guitar and singing around a campfire. There was not much Gary couldn’t accomplish when he set his mind to it. He had a hard head and a soft heart, which endeared him to many.

She is survived by her sister Mable Dobbins and her brother Alvin Thomas. Jane gave birth to 4 children with her former husband Tommy Otto Herron of whom were Vicky Jane, Thomas James, Julius David, and Norma Jean. She is survived by her sons James and David and was preceded in death by Norma Jean at a very early age and Vicky Jane a couple years ago. Jane was a very loving, caring, and compassionate lady. She was a nurse and care giver by trade and was always there for family and strangers.
Among her many loves of Quilting, Knitting, Bingo and Playing pitch, Jane was a very competitive person. Even more she was a storyteller. Even if the story was a bit stretched you knew it was real by the time, she was done telling it. Jane truly was a strong woman who didn’t know the meaning of quit. Even to her last breath she held on with everything she had. Not only was Jane a strong woman, but she was also a stubborn woman. If you called her on something she would prove to you she was right. Jane was one of a kind, she truly will be missed, but will never be forgotten.
Janes legacy was that of a long one. She leaves behind 10 Grandchildren along with 1 preceding her in death, 30 Great Grandchildren with an additional 2 preceding her in death and 26 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Dona graduated from Armstrong High School and attended one year of college at Kirksville State University. She then married her high school sweetheart Tommy Doug Goon. Dona has been a caregiver most of her life and deeply cared about her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved being outside and enjoying nature. She enjoyed fishing/boating, writing poems, watching wrestling, gardening/flowers, cooking, and interior decorating. She married Leon Vohs who had a farm in Collins, MO. Leon & Dona lived there several years, which she enjoyed. Leon passed away suddenly, but Dona remained on this “little farm” as she called it. Dona married Brian Bock on August 28, 2006. Brian has been her rock and caregiver through Dona’s battle with cancer. Dona was known to a lot as “Dee Dee and Nanny” and had a heart of gold putting others above herself always. Her sense of humor was amazing and she was always joking. Her laugh was contagious, and she was as ornery as all get out! She will be missed by all that knew her.
