Obituary Preview: Dorothy Miciukiewicz, age 89, of Trumbull, loving wife of 69 years to the late Joseph Miciukiewicz, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Irene Tekin Steil. Dorothy was a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Trumbull. There’s nothing that Dorothy enjoyed more than gardening. She’d spend winters reading gardening books and magazines while she planned for spring and summer. Butterflies and hummingbirds were always an important consideration. In the spring, she’d plant seeds and bulbs and arrange decorative fences and garden ornaments to compliment the soon to arrive plants. When she saw the first butterflies and hummingbirds taking nectar from her flowers, she was satisfied, knowing that her efforts had paid off. Throughout the summer, she would pull weeds and rearrange plants to make everything just right. Dorothy also enjoyed raking leaves, it was very relaxing for her. It also gave her time to look over the yard and start planning for next year.
Dorothy leaves behind her two sons, David Miciukiewicz and Jennifer LaBlanc, Michael Miciukiewicz and Karen Knaple. She was predeceased by her sister, Gail Steil, her brother, Richard Steil and his wife Bonnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull, followed by interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. He served with honor in the US Armed Forces as a Marine in 1978, embodying the principles of duty and service.
Julio had a distinguished and extensive career in law enforcement for the State of Connecticut. He was not only dedicated to his profession but also passionate about mentoring and coaching young basketball players, achieving championship victories throughout the years.
Julio leaves behind his devoted wife of 20 years, Kathryn Martin Echevarria and his two sons and daughter in law, Nicholas, Anthony and his spouse Elisa Echevarria. Julio was the proud grandfather of Molly, Isaiah, Anthony Jr., and recent addition to the family, baby Matthew. Julio was a proud sibling to his brothers Edgar and Ricky Echevarria, along with his sisters Lourdes, Mayra, and Mirian Echevarria. He was predeceased by his first wife Cynthia and son Daniel Echevarria, as well as his sister Lillian Echevarria Nieves. These people along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends undeniably created a beautiful impact during his time.

Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Edmund ad Helen Orlowski Radomski. Virginia (Ginny as she was best known to those close to her) leaves behind her loving sister--and best friend-- Marion Radomski and several cousins. She was also predeceased by loving grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins who were an important part of her life. Growing up she was blessed to be surrounded by a close and loving extended family.
Ginny was a graduate of Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport and went on to achieve an undergraduate degree from Post College and a graduate degree from University of New Haven. Her career at the United Illuminating Company began when she was a senior in high school and continued until her retirement as a Human Resources Representative. Her coworkers became her “other family.” Many remained lifelong friends.
Ginny was a loyal parishioner of St Michael the Archangel Church in Bridgeport and was a lifelong member of the Polish Falcons. Faith, family, friends, and her Polish heritage best defined her. She is remembered for her warmth, gentleness, smile, and quiet laughter. She will be missed—especially by her sister.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Colleen Wood, and brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Shari Chmielewski, niece, Amanda Chmielewski and fiancé Zachary Taylor, great-niece, Ellie Lynn Taylor, nephew, Dustin Chmielewski and partner Mikaela O'Brien.

Obituary Preview: Stergios Tsitsipas age 74 of Huntington, loving husband of 45 years to Kalli Pesintzis Tsitsipas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Born in Grevena, Greece, he was the son of the late Athanasios and Argiro Geladaras Tsitsipas. Stergios came to the U.S. in December of 1962 and settled in Lowell, MA. He graduated from Lowell Institute with a civil engineering degree. Stergios worked as a civil engineer for 5 years in Boston, MA. He became a member of Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell, MA., where he was a choir member. In 1978 he moved to CT and found employment at Sikorsky Aircraft in there Civil Engineering Dept. for over 40 years. After moving to CT., Stergios became a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for over 45 years.
In addition to his devoted wife Kalliope, he leaves behind his daughter, Christina Loukakis, his two brothers Demetrios and his wife Ann Tsitsipas and Efthimios Tsitsipas, sister-in-law Fani Biros, many nieces and nephews. Stergios was loved and respected from all of his family and friends both here and in Greece. He was very proud of his Greek heritage and proud to be a Greek American. Friends are invited to go directly to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on Saturday, December 16, 2023 10am where the Rite of Burial will be officiated by Father Georgios Livaditis Presbyter followed by interment in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. He was predeceased by his daughter Elena. Alex served in the Russian army right out of high school until his retirement 25 years later with having reached the rank of lieutenant colonel in the tank division. He married the love of his life Nadezhda in 1975. They celebrated 49 years together and raised their two daughters. In year 2000 they started a new chapter of their life and immigrated to the United States. Alex became a professional truck driver and was the sole supporter of his family. He was the patriarch, mentor, role model, father and grandfather to his family who relied on him as their rock. Taking care of and loving his family was who he was. Alex was a husband, father and grandfather and he performed these roles to perfection. He was always there. He was a hero and now he’s gone much too soon. His life was a blessing to his family. He is irreplaceable.
