Also the family would like to recognize their special friends: Harold and Jeannie Cole, Carl and Helen Neely, Mackie and Cynthia Lamb, Cecil and Dorothy Vance, Ricky Gains and Wanda Scrivner.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: David Allen Hackworth; three brothers: Elmer T. Smith, Bill O. Smith and Bobby Smith; and one sister: Edna Mae Smith Stamper.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral home with Rev. Jon Burdette and Rev. Bradley Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Friday morning.

Pallbearers will be: Harold Cole, Carl Neely, Cecil Vance, Ricky Gains, Zach Lynch and Jimmy Lakes.

Mr. Newman, the son of William Newman and Addie Woods Newman, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 13, 1937. He had worked at UK Chandler Medical Center and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was also a minster and member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Coffey Newman.

Survivors include: three sons: James William Newman (Grace) of Irvine, Gregory Jay Newman (Elien) of Berea and David T. Newman (Chassidy) of Richmond; two daughters: Grace Jean Smith of Arizona and Joyce Faye Wall (Greg) of Richmond; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his brothers: William “Bill” Newman and Elzy Lee Newman and his sisters: Thelma Isaacs and Fannie Garner.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Monday, November 5, 2018, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County with full military honors with Rev. Cecil Burns officiating.

Mr. Hendricks, a longtime Richmond Businessman, was born on March 18, 1930, the son of the late Hayden Christopher and Delia Payne Hendricks. In his youth, he was a member of the Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He was graduate of Madison High School, and attended Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. A former partner of James Anderson & Son Contractors, he founded The Hendricks Roofing Company in 1982.

He was a former member of The Richmond Lions Club and served on The Telford YMCA Board of Directors for 36 years. He had taught Sunday School for over forty years, and was a founding member of The Madison Hills Christian Church. Mr. Hendricks was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Deborah Hendricks Robinson.

Survivors include his wife Connie; one son: Steven C. Hendricks (Lori); two grandchildren: Cameron Hendricks and Brittany Hendricks; a son-in-law: Escoe “Bud” Robinson; and his special canine companion “Abbey”.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1: 30 PM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at The Madison Hills Christian Church with Bro. Martin Frazer officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM Saturday at the church.
