Obituary Preview: Mary Ann Lemp passed away peacefully in her home on April 16, 2020 after suffering with Alzheimer’s the last 10 years. Mary Ann was born in the Peachtree Hills District of Atlanta, Georgia on December 25, 1934 to Pierce King and Mary Channell. She was the youngest of 3 brothers, Louis, Charles (Charlie) and Ralph who all preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Decatur High in Atlanta. But for the short time her Dad worked in Florida, she attended Mt Dora High School where she was a cheerleader. It was there she met and later married her High School Sweetheart, Harry Wise. Mary Ann and Harry built a beautiful home on Lake Apopka and had the joy of adopting 2 daughters, Debbie Wise (Schafer) and Mary Sharon Wise (Turner). They became active members of Calvary Baptist Church and were instrumental in starting Calvary Christian School. Mary Ann even donated her time as secretary for 2 years in order to help get the school off the ground. Harry preceded her in death in April 1974. On November 5, 1974 Mary Ann married her friend and Pastor, Reynold Lemp who had 3 children Elizabeth Lemp (Kennedy), Tim, and Lydia. She began and embraced her new role as a Pastor’s wife and was a counselor and teacher to the ladies of the church for many years. They loved traveling together going to places like Key West, Canada, and Alaska. Trips with her childhood friends, Gloria and Walker Fife, were always a highlight--They shared many, many times together at the beach sunning, fishing, and playing putt-putt golf. Mary Ann’s love was spending time with her grandchildren. She was blessed to have 12 Grandchildren: Christopher, Carey, Kayla, Clay, Kurtis, Kenny, and Carson (Schafer): Ross and Allison (Lemp), Drew, Kyle, Mary Danielle (Turner); and 13 great-grandchildren. Memories include home-made special treats, LOTS of games including UNO and Monopoly, and sleeping on pallets in front of the fireplace. She is survived by her husband, Reynold Lemp; Daughters, Elizabeth Kennedy (Mike), Debbie Schafer (Scot), Lydia Lemp, and Sharon Turner, All Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank her caregivers; Linda Claudio, Mary Coffey Shield, Lauren Lively, Isa Sanchez, Joanna Tyrrell, Leah Lockhart, Sharita Wright, and Alma Hunter, as well as Vitas Hospice, the staff @Visiting Physicians Association, and Encompass Health. Due to the current Covid-19 regulations, there will be a small, family gathering on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the graveside to be followed up with a Celebration of Life service once the Shelter-in-Place order has been lifted.

Obituary Preview: Julio was a loving fiance, amazing father, son and brother. He was a hard worker who made sure he provided everything his family needed and wanted. He was a go getter when it came to reaching his goals. If he wasn't  working he was spending time with his kids, fiance,family and friends. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed hanging with all his friends. He loved going out and having a good time and was the life of the party. He was always there to crack a joke or give you the advice you needed. He had a really good way with words and was a good listener. Julio loved drag racing and anything to do with cars. He loved his neon, motorcycle and corvettes. He loved watching UFC ,fishing and listening to music of all kinds. He is survived by his fiance Michelle, and their two children Julian and Jonah; his parents  Madeline and Julio. He is also survived by one sister Daisy, his two brothers Lenny and George, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held privately.

Obituary Preview: Daniel “Dan” Edward Mullally, Jr., Major USMC (Retired) died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, in Winter Park, FL after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. Dan was born in St. Louis, MO on October 22, 1936, the youngest child of Daniel E. Mullally, Sr. and Augusta Rose (Martin) Mullally. After graduating from Western Carolina University in 1957, Dan was commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps as a 2nd Lieutenant. While stationed at MCAS Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii, in 1960, Dan met the love of his life, Kathryn E. “Kay” Tierney. After marrying in Minneapolis, MN, Dan and Kay began a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. During his service in the Marine Corps, Dan served in several capacities to include the Commanding Officer M&S Company, The Basic School at Quantico, VA; U.S. Marine Corps Liaison to the U. S. Army Infantry Board at Ft. Benning, GA; Commanding Officer, Delta Company, 1st Battalion/3rd Marine Regiment, Da Nang and Khe Sanh, Vietnam and Commanding Officer, Anglico, Force Troops. After retiring from the U. S. Marine Corps in 1977, Dan and Kay moved to Winter Park, FL with their five children. Dan began a fulfilling career in military training primarily with the University of Central Florida Institute for Simulation and Training and Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers. In his community and in his family, Dan was known for his sense of humor. So many people, especially his grandchildren, started smiling and chuckling as soon as they saw him. No one ever knew what Dan would do or say next but whatever it was, it was going to bring a smile or a laugh. In his quieter moments, he was a voracious reader, never going anywhere without a book. He was a devout Catholic and throughout his life and in his final hours drew strength from his strong relationship with God. Dan and Kay were active members of their beloved church, St. Margaret Mary in Winter Park, FL. In his last days, he was surrounded by his wife of 59 years, Kay, and his children, Daniel III (Susan), Mary Theresa (Robert) Franceschini, Kevin, Timothy (Maureen), and Patrick (Mandy). He is survived by his beloved grandchildren Megan, Kailey (Hunnicutt), Brenden, Katie, Maggie, Nick (Franceschini), Ava, Hannah and Alina. Dan was predeceased by his parents and his brother, F. Joseph Mullally. His is also survived by his sister, Rosemary Scott, and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Hector R. Mendez, M.D., passed away peacefully on March 2, 2020, at the age of 96, in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Mendez was an admired member of Central Florida’s medical community, devoted to his many patients, often serving multiple generations from the same family.  His medical practice touched a broad range of community members, from priests and nuns of the Orlando Diocese, to players from the Orlando Jai Alai Fronton.
Time away from his medical practice was rare, but he cherished vacationing with his family at New Smyrna Beach, tending his extensive rose garden and family dinners at the Villa Nova. Upon his retirement in 1994, he discovered a love for travel by cruise ship. He and his wife of 66 years, Juanita, enjoyed many adventures abroad culminating with a 65-day cruise around the world.
He was a doting husband and a devoted father to his daughters.  He loved telling jokes, listening to Cuban music and discussing sports and politics.  He was never happier than when he could share these passions with family and friends.
Hector was born on October 21, 1923, in Matanzas, Cuba, the youngest of seven children, to Adolfo Mendez Guedes and Cristina Diaz Garteiz.
He graduated from Havana University Medical School and completed his internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. He practiced medicine briefly at W.T. Edwards Tuberculosis Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, and at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia.
He was a physician at General Practice Clinic in Orlando, Florida, for 35 years; practiced at Florida Hospital, Orlando, where he was Chief of Family Practice and a member of the hospital's Executive Committee. He served as President of the Orange County Medical Society as well as holding other leadership positions within the organization. In 1989, Dr. Mendez was honored as Florida's Family Physician of the Year.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mendez; two daughters, Ana Ware (Tony), and Maria Ganio (Michael); three grandchildren Kyle Ware (Ashley), Tara Feindt (Chris) and Natalie Delfosse (Kevin); and one great-grandchild, Dane Feindt.
Hector Mendez was a gift to his family and the people of Central Florida. His passionate personality and dedication to his patients will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 in the Chapel of Collison Family Funeral Home.

Obituary Preview: Barbara Jean Hulbert (Hines)  aka “The Queen” Passed away peacefully on February 21st with her family by her side, she was 87 years old. She was preceded in death  by her husband of 46 years Ronald A Hulbert. Sr . Barbara was born in Highland Michigan March 28, 1932, the second of 5 children of Edward and Thelma Hines. Barbara lived in Milford Michigan until she moved to Florida in 1974. She loved her family, she loved her life, and she loved to shop, Macy’s was HER store. In the 1950’s she was a telephone operator until she became a mom. In the 1970’s and 80’s she sold clothing and costume jewelry at home parties, she then retired in 1987 from Avis rent a car after an injury. She loved to always dress in something that sparkled and wear her costume jewelry hence the nickname of “The Queen”.  Barbara was always very social, never knew a stranger, and loved any excuse to have a party or get together. She is survived by her 3 children Michael (Anne) Hulbert, Ronald (DeeKim) A Hulbert jr, and Julie (Manny) Hulbert Banzon. Her sister in law Diane Casey, 8 granddaughters that she adored, one named after her, and they referred to her as “Glamma”, Melissa (Russell) Greer, Katherine (Denny) Ewing, Kimberly Hulbert, Jesse (Ryan) Locklear, Amanda (Brent ) Kossina, Emily Hulbert, Ashley Hulbert, Melanie Banzon, and 3 step grandchildren Jason (Tara) Carter, Arwen (Brian) Buchholz, Elicia Carter of North Carolina. She had 18 great grandchildren that she loved so dearly, 2 of which where also named after her. 2 sisters , Marjorie UpDike of Lakeland Fl, and Janet (John) Kovach of Mesa Arizona, preceded in death by her brothers Ronnie and Edward Hines and has several nieces and nephews. Barbara is also survived by the loving staff of Lifecare of Orlando where she resided for the past four years.
Visitations will be held at Collison Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm with a service at 6:30 pm.
Barbara will laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, February 27 at 2:00 pm.

They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on February 27, 2020. Celia worked as a bookkeeper for several years and in 1975 she started a 30 year career with Albertsons as a Receiving Clerk. Celia enjoyed cooking, sewing, bowling, reading and most of all she cherished spending time with her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Celia is preceded in death by her husband Peter. Obituary Preview: Jon W. Storm of Winter Park, Florida (born in Stockton California), passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2020 at the age of 58. Karine, his wife of 19 years, was by his side until the end. Jon lived his life to the fullest. He loved tennis, fast cars, motorcycles, golf and most of all his pets. He was a creative and funny man with a dry sense of humor and was always seen with his signature lollipop in his mouth. He developed an appreciation for traveling; he always said, if not for his wife, he would have never seen as much of the world as he did. Jon was known for his eclectic taste in fashion and art, evidenced by his colorful sport coats, socks, as well as his mailbox, furniture and artwork. He saw himself as a trendsetter. Jon was a CPA and operated his own tax practice. He was also proud of his role as a Guardian ad Litem. Jon will be lovingly remembered by his wife Karine L. Storm-Devolz, his parents William and Shirley Storm, his brother Richard Storm, and many other loving family members. He was predeceased by his cherished golden retriever.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM ~7:00 PM at Collison Family Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 6:00 PM in the chapel. He was born February 22, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Robert P Sr. and Frances Murphy. Prior to his retirement, Dean was a reservation specialist in the airline industry. He started his career in 1972 and retired in 2005. Mr. Murphy enjoyed classic t.v. and movies, he was also known to be quite the history trivia buff. Dean was an avid football fan, with his favorite teams being the Miami Dolphins, and the University of Miami Hurricanes.

Willy was a loving son, brother, uncle, caring husband, and loved by many. He was a strong and devoted man, who cherished his family. He enjoyed traveling, computer, accounting, and doing puzzles. Wilfredo Ramos departed this life on Monday, Decemeber 23rd, 2019. He was proceeded in death by his parents Fabriciano and Gina, and sisters Edy and Lidia. He leaves to mourn his wife Lillian Ramos of Oviedo, Fl, and his beloved dog Mimi, his sister Olga Ramos of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved God Children Kiara and Diovan Pelicot. Rose loved traveling over seas while her husband Harold, was serving his country with the United States Air Force.  Traveling to places like Holland, and Brazil. Following those years she worked as the Naval Base. Prior to her retirement she worked in sales. Her most recent position with Costco, she worked in the club demonstrating services. Mrs. Ginder was predeceased by her daughter Carol Ginder in 1966, son Richard Ginder in 1970, husband Harold Ginder in 1997, and another son Robert Ginder in 2012; and two sisters Betty Peacock, and Frances Oliver. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Daniel) Ginder-Losada, four grandchildren, Alexander, Michael, Christopher, and Edmund; two great grandchildren Joaquin, Gabriel, and Baby Bruce on the way ! The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 6:00 PM ~ 9:00 PM at Collison Family Funeral Home.
