Michael was born in Hammond, Indiana on February 24, 1961. He worked as a dockhand for 25 years at Sportsman Lodge. Michael enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening and hunting. He also loved watching Westerns, playing guitar and all animals.
He is survived by his son, Michael John Bozman of Chicago, IL; his mother, Joyce Baker of Somonauk, IL; one brother, Tim Bozman of Somonauk, IL; five sisters, Robin Lawson of Wingo, KY, Trina Prairie (Dennis) of Spring Hill, FL, Karen Hankins (Jeff) of Somonauk, IL, Carol Curd (Tommy) of Benton, KY and Kimberly Natale (Lou) of Aurora, IL; former wife, Diane Hill of Channahon, IL; five grandchildren, Brandon Lugo, Jennifer Quiroga, Alannah Kurm, Steven Kurm and Mia Bozman; twenty-four nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Bozman and brother-in-law, Bill Lawson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as an over the road truck driver. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Derington) Collins of Benton, KY; daughter, Mary Helen Collins of Benton, KY; granddaughter, Keeley Collins of Benton, KY; sister, Edna Collins Riley of Benton, KY; brother in law, Eddie Derington (Andra) of Benton, KY; sisters in law, Barbara Derington Thorn (Charles) of Gilbertsville, KY, Norma Collins of Benton, KY; nieces, Beverly Paschall, Charlesa Travis (Brooks), Jackie Thweatt (Mark), Sherry Adams (Clint), April Lamb (Paul); and nephews, Johnny Collins, Shannon Collins (Tia), Jeff Thorn and Jimmy Thorn (Cayla).
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Ed Collins, Charles W. Collins; brother in law, Charles W. Riley; and sister in law, Anna Lou Collins.
A private graveside service will be at Marshall County Memory Gardens with Doug Sanders officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

He was born in Benton on July 19, 1928, to William Filbeck and Mamie Jones Filbeck. Billy was self-employed and worked on sheet metal, as well as a commercial fisherman.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Filbeck (Teresa) of Benton and Troy Filbeck (Mary) of Benton; one daughter, Linda Mangrum (Terry) of Benton; one step-son, Dewey Hughes of Louisville; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ham Filbeck; one brother, Joe Filbeck; one sister, Luby Lee Peck; and his parents.
Memorial Contributions may take the form of donations made to the Union Ridge Cemetery Fund, 1014 Union Ridge Road, Benton, KY 42025.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Penick officiating. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery.

He served as an international missionary with his wife through the partnership of the Southern Baptist Convention in South America and Europe. He served in the Armed Forces of the United States from 1961-1968. Dewey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather to his loving family.
Dewey was born on November 10, 1943, in Calloway County to the late Ellis Clayton Dick and Veopal (Boggess) Dick Glover.
Mr. Dick is survived by his devoted wife, Jerlyine McKendree Dick, of 63 years. Two sons, Marty Dick and Todd (Mary) Dick; six grandchildren, Nicole Dick, Meagen Dick, Kristina (Josh) Hinton, Cameron Dick, Courtney (Aaron) Beane and Kenzie Dick; nine great-grandchildren, Morgan, Cody, Chandler, Kade, Preston, Mason, Waylon and Kylie; one sister, Eva Gream and sister-in-law, Carolyn Dick.
Mr. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, James Dick, L.C. Dick, Elzie Dick, Willie Dick, Rob Dick; one sister, June Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Ricky Cunningham and Glenn Cope will officiate. Burial will follow with full military honors at the Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray, KY.

Born Friday, December 22, 1944 in Oak Ridge, TN, he was the son of the late Joseph Ferris and the late Lucille (Jeffers) Ferris. He was the husband of the late Betty Sue (Dennis) Ferris.
Joe was a wonderful stepfather, son, brother and uncle. He loved all things in nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joe loved deer hunting with friends and just enjoyed spending time with them. He was assistant co-leader of Boy Scout Troop #69 of Gilbertsville with his best friend, Dan Gray for several years. He was a Veteran of the US Army and an active member in the American Legion and Calvert City VFW. He also worked at Calvert City Lumber for 15 years. Joe had a love for classical music, growing his own vegetables and beautiful flowers. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
He is survived by his son, James Smith of Gilbertsville, KY; sisters, Reta Witherspoon of Paducah, KY, Linda Hayden husband Charlie of Paducah, KY and Theresa Brown of Symsonia, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, David Ferris; and sisters, Brenda Burkeen and Tina Cole.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with the Father Brian Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Mary was born in New Castle, Indiana, on May 13, 1946, to James Arvel Pierce and Mae Rockenbaugh Pierce. She attended Chrysler Memorial High School before going on to business school. After business school, Mary worked in data processing at Kresge in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mary had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. She especially loved Greece and Wales. Throughout her life, she lived in many places across the United States, including Valdez, Alaska; Dillon, Colorado; Diamondhead, Mississippi; Spokane, Washington; Georgetown, South Carolina; and Antioch, California. Before retiring, Mary worked at the Calvert City Library. Mary was a proud member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Club. She was a lifelong learner and a cruciverbalist. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, following the weather forecast, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Amy Kroehnke, and husband, John Richard, of Benton, KY; her stepson Jim Yarbrough and wife Holly of Denver, CO; stepdaughter Jeri Ann Yarbrough of Pompano Beach, FL; her brother, Richard Ellis Pierce and wife Phyllis of Newnan, GA; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Pierce Kroehnke of Benton, KY; and Catherine Kroehnke Beckett and husband Carson of Brevard, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jerry Yarbrough; her parents; and her two brothers, Ralph Allen Pierce and Gene Paul Pierce.

A private Graveside service will be held at Edwards Cemetery on Saturday, April 27, 2024 with family members officiating.
Burial to follow at Edwards Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille Portis Glisson; one son, James Glisson; one brother, Paul Glisson; and two sisters, Mildred Cross and Lunell Crouse.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Marshall County Memory Gardens.

Roy Neal Brown - February 16, 1940 - April 15, 2024

Obituary Preview: Roy Neal Brown, 84, of Calvert City, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.
He was born in Mayfield on February 16, 1940 to the late Cornelius Brown and the late Gladys (Mangrum) Brown.
He was a faithful member of Pathway Baptist Church. Roy was a proud Christian and shared his faith with many people as a Sunday School director at Southland Baptist Temple for over 25 years and a pastor at several churches, including 15 years at Lakeview Baptist Church.
He was the founder and owner of Custom Automotive in Calvert City. Roy enjoyed working and taking care of his customers, he showed up for work every day until he was no longer able. He loved the shop dogs that kept him company at Custom Automotive, especially Molly. Roy enjoyed admiring old cars, driving around and taking road trips with his wife. He would often travel to watch his son race. Roy was a family man and was happiest when he was surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Parker) Brown of Calvert City; son, Tim Brown, wife Kim, of Benton; daughter, Carol Varvel (Chad Timmons) of Calvert City; sister, Dorothy Yates of Clarksville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brittany Knoth, husband Ryan, Dustin Brown, wife Savannah, Cary King, wife Brittany, Austin Brown, wife Charlstyn, Cameron Brown, Keylee Castleberry, and Owen Timmons; and great grandchildren, Jase Knoth, Waylon Knoth, Ella Brown, Greyson King, Berkley Brown, and Grady King.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Brown; and sister, Francis Hobbs.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with the Pastor Mike Donald officiating.
Interment will be in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Lamb Fisk; daughter, Suzanne Mattingly and husband, Rob of Brewers; daughter-in-law, Sue Fisk of Benton; one brother, Lanny Fisk and wife, Ellen of Benton; one sister, Sharon Watkins and husband, Gene of Benton; four grandchildren, Rebecca Peek of Paducah, Elizabeth Smith (Garrett) of Brewers, Daniel Mattingly of Benton and Katherine Fisk of Benton; two great-granddaughters, Emmaline and Elaina Smith.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Karl Fisk; three brothers, Bob Fisk, Marshall Fisk and Sammy Fisk; and one sister, Gwen Bell.

Obituary Preview: James "Benny" Armstrong, 80 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Born Sunday, November 28, 1943 in Kuttawa, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Marvin Armstrong and the late Mae Guess Armstrong. Benny's life was guided by two distinct events. The first was his acceptance of Christ as his Saviour at Swanee Furnace Baptist Church. The second was when he met and married the love of his life, Dorchid, who he described as "the prettiest girl he had ever seen." They were married for 54 years.
He loved going to his son's basketball games when they were young. Later in life, he loved spending time with his four grandchildren, who called him Papaw or Pap. He loved spending time outside mowing or just sitting on his swing. He was happiest at home on his couch watching Andy Griffith or westerns with Dorchid by his side.
He loved his family dearly and he especially loved when they were all together with him.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Dorchid Fox Armstrong, three sons; James Armstrong (Carrie) of Murray, KY, Mark Armstrong (Amy) of Paducah, KY and Chris Armstrong of Paducah, KY, grandchildren: Carrisa Armstrong, Allison Armstrong, Zach Armstrong and Brinkley Armstrong.
He was preceded in death by brother, Bill Armstrong, and sisters, Marvina Oliver, Mary Lipscomb and Betty Hesher.
Funeral services will be Saturday April 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Armstrong, Bro. Bud Russell and Bro. Stan Durrett officiating.
Burial to follow at Marshall County Memory Garden in Benton, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Friday April 5, 2024 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Collier Funeral Home, Inc. located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025.

Born on May 15, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Joe Frank Eley and the late Mildred (Stahl) Washburn.
She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Frank Eley and her mother, Mildred Washburn, and stepfather, Cad Washburn.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Schuyler "Sky" Dodson; her three sons, Steve (Rae Anne) Washburn, Darren Dodson, and Derek Dodson; her three grandsons, Kyle (Claudia) Washburn, Zachary (Allyson) Dodson and Dylan (Callie) Dodson; her granddaughter, Jessica (Cam) Suggs; and her three great-grandchildren, Maggie Suggs, Camden Suggs, and Molly Suggs.
Carolyn was known by her family members and friends as the best person, the sweetest soul, and so much more. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with the ones that meant the most to her, laughing and exchanging stories. She also loved spending as much time as possible sitting on the porch, watching birds eat from the feeders. She will forever be remembered for ability to spread love and happiness to everyone she encountered.
To honor Carolyn's wishes, there will be a private, family only graveside service.

Surviving are his wife Vickie Albertson of Benton, KY; sons; Roy Allen Albertson (Dana) of Sumner, IL and Chad Albertson (Amy) of Le Roy, IL, daughters; Dawn Muth (Karl) of Baytown, TX and Heather Shultz (Dewayne) of Claremont, IL, sisters; Judy Brown (Mack) of Paxton, IL and Nancy Matthews; ten grandchildren; Tyler Ludwig, Brady Muth, Trevor Albertson, Sabrina Freeman, Clayton Albertson, Hunter Albertson, Devyn Collier, Sierra Fenton, Braden Nicholson and Kyle Shultz, and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Gail Marie (Noble) Albertson; son, Lance Albertson, brothers; Roy Eugene Albertson, Jr., Jack Albertson and Randy Windle; sister, Dorothy Thompson and granddaughter; Felicia Albertson.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 7 PM at the Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Spraggs officiating.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden and growing beautiful flowers. Sarah would make clothing for her children and was a talented cook, keeping an extensive book of recipes her family enjoyed. She loved traveling and was always excited to visit somewhere new. Sarah had many passions throughout her life, but she found true joy when she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 61 years, Jerry Franklin of Kirksey; one son, Jeff Franklin (Lisa) of Kirksey; one daughter, Melissa Hildebrand (Karl) of Gallatin, TN; one brother, Ronnie Bohannon of Fairdealing; six grandchildren, Samantha Flener (Caleb), Tiffany Croft (Trace), Tosha Franklin, Alyssa Martin (Jon), Sydney Hildebrand, and Kelsey Ellegood (Brady); and twelve great grandchildren, Izabel Flener, Abel Croft, Athena Croft, Oakley Croft, Hadilyn Croft, Charlie Jo Croft, Prudence Franklin, Eli Franklin, Elias Franklin, Jaxon Martin, Wyatt Martin, and Jayla Guthrie.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Claude Bohannon Jr. and George Bohannon.
Sarah had a strong love for her Lord and Savior, and her faith was admired by all. She passed this love on to others by opening her heart and home to everyone. She “adopted” many extra sons, daughters, and grandchildren throughout the years, referring to and loving each and every one as her own.

He is survived by two daughters, Becca Hendrickson and Karen Hendrickson, both of Benton; his wife, Beverly Hendrickson of Delaware, and his granddaughter, Autumn Vance.
J.W. was preceded in death by his parents.
