Obituary Preview: David Randolph Creasy (Randy) was born on April 29 th 1964 to Hazel and David Creasy in Charlottesville, Va. Introduced to the Lord at an early age, he frequently quoted and believed the phrase “God is good.” After Randy graduated from Fluvanna County High School in 1983, he went on to study Sports Information at Piedmont Virginia Community College.

Departed: 12/01/2021 (Bremo Bluff)
Obituary Preview: FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS Remembering “Jane”
Deaconess Jane Catherine (Mudd-Tytus-Woodson) affectionately known as “Jane” was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 16th, 1941 to the late Joseph Sydney and Dorothy Long Mudd.  She attended public school and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1959.
At an early age Jane had her first communion at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky in the first grade.   In second grade, she attended Virginia Avenue Elementary School and was a year ahead of a good friend and neighbor Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. (Muhammad Ali).
In June of 1959, Jane married the late Walter Lee Tytus, and in this union, they had three children.   In March of 1962, she met George Woodson and they married on December 26, 1962 in Norfolk, Virginia, and in this union she had three additional children.
In December of 1965, Jane and George moved to Arvonia Virginia.  She began her career as the secretary for Dillwyn Elementary School, and shortly transitioned into a Food Technician (1970) for the state of Virginia Extension Service.  She continued her journey with the state of Virginia by accepting a position at Buckingham Correctional Center as a Nutritional Supervisor where she gained the name “Little Bit” which truly meant a “whole lot”.  She was promoted to the position of Assistant Food Operations Manager, and subsequently promoted to Manager of Food Service at the Dillwyn Correctional center where she retired on May 31, 2010 after 40 total years of state service.
In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time in her personal park created from her vision.  She also enjoyed being the head deaconess at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church and hosting programs.   She also was a huge participant of community outreach.
Deaconess Woodson was such a social person and made friends everywhere she went.  She was always giving and never expected anything in return.  Deaconess Woodson felt it a priority to send family and friend’s birthday, anniversary, and Christmas cards.  She frequently took trips to Kentucky and Maryland to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She did not miss a grandchild’s graduation no matter how far she had to travel (Kentucky, Texas, California, and Maryland).  Deaconess Woodson was the neighborhood mom and made sure all the children coming to Chestnut Grove had a ride home after football games, basketball games, and track meets.
She loved listening to R&B and especially holiday music.  She looked forward to the holidays and wanted her home decorated by the end of Thanksgiving night.

Life is a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place far greater than we know, For some the journey is quicker, for some the journey is slow. And when the journey finally ends, we’ll claim the great reward, And find an everlasting peace, together with the Lord.
