Obituary Preview: Florence Carole Rhinehart Dill (Harmon/George) December 10, 1927 - April 16, 2024
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Carole R. Dill, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who left us on April 16, 1924 after a long life well-lived. Carole passed peacefully at home, with her husband George Dill faithfully and lovingly at her side as he has been for many years.
Carole was born in Los Angeles, CA, to Marjorie and Leon Rhinehart (both deceased) and was raised with her brother Richard Rhinehart (deceased). She is survived by her husband, George D. Dill, her beloved children, Donald Harmon /Angela; Cynthia Moroni / Mike; April Hawkins/ Mike (deceased); cousin King Leonard / Maureen, as well as 8 grand-children and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 step-children; Jim Dill, Karen Alexander, Lisa Dill and Pete Dill, and their families, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Carole spent most of her growing up years in Pasadena, CA, and attended Pasadena City College after high school, where she met her former husband Richard S. Harmon who she married in 1946 (deceased). Carole’s three children Don, Cindy and April were born between 1947 and 1954 and the family moved to the Bay Area from southern California in 1958.
For many years, Carole worked in City Government in the Bay Area, starting as Administration Assistant for the Department of Parks and Recreation for the City of San Carlos, then for the City Managers of both Foster City and Woodside. After 20 years working for City Government she became the Executive Assistant to the Director of Mental Health for the Children's Health Council at Stanford University. She retired from Stanford at age 72.
In 1978 she married Ralph George in British Columbia where her daughter Cindy lived, and they enjoyed 15 years together before Ralph passed in Los Altos Hills along with their beloved horses, whom they took on many adventures.
In 1996 Carole married George David Dill at the United Methodist Church in Los Altos, CA. They moved to Granite Bay, CA in 2001 after George retired at age 70. She and George enjoyed traveling together to Hawaii, some foreign countries and especially visiting their many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all over the U.S. and Canada. Her love and adoration for George, and her joy in their life together was constantly evident during the 28 years of life they shared, as was his love and devotion for her.
In her younger years she was an avid horsewoman and ballroom dancer, and enjoyed skiing, swimming and snorkeling in Hawaii. She was a loving and consistent presence in the lives of her many family members and over the course of her life. Carole always enjoyed and actively invested in relationships with her children and step-children, their grand-children and great-grandchildren that came into her life. Her positive and cheerful attitude, her grit and perseverance in challenging times, and her loving and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew her.
Since moving to Granite Bay, she was particularly blessed by the fellowship and activities of East Parkway Church and there will be a service in celebration of her life on Friday, April 26, at 1:00 P.M. at the Valley Springs Presbyterian Church on 2401 Olympus Drive in Roseville, CA.

Born on April 3, 1951, Arlene's life was a testament to her loving, thoughtful, and friendly nature, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered.
Arlene was the cherished mother of Brandy O'Connell, Danna Leonetti, and Lance Arroyo, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and care. Her love blossomed further with the joy of her 7 grandchildren: Alyssa, Jayce, Addison, Adam, Marcus, Francesska, and Gia. Arlene's journey through life was marked by the love she shared and the connections she nurtured. James Larimore, Jr. - October 27, 1932 - March 28, 2024

Departed: 03/28/2024 (Roseville)
Obituary Preview: James Larimore Jr. passed peacefully on March 28th, 2024. A beloved dad, brother, uncle and Papa Jim, he will be missed by his family and friends. He took great pride in becoming a great grandfather and much of the joy of his last years was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jim was a passionate writer and reader. He was an old school newspaper guy working for newspapers all over the country finally working for over 20 years at the Santa Rosa Press Democrat retiring as the wire news editor. He most enjoyed being a reporter and had fun for a few years writing as "Longshot Louie" during the horseraces at the Sonoma County Fair. He started his career covering sports with the Kansas City A's and sports were a passion for his lifetime.
When he wasn't writing at his manual typewriter, you could find him on the golf course. His love affair with golf began at a very young age caddying for his Dad in Kanas City. He was a scratch golfer for years and took pride in shooting his age several times. He even took a break from the newspaper to work as a golf pro in the 70's. he could look at a golf course and tell you what hole it was, whether or not he played there, and where his drive landed.
Jim was a very good storyteller, always had a good joke and had an opinion on everything. Being a teensy bit stubborn earned him the nickname Dutch early in life. He was a simple man in many ways but was generous in things that mattered to him. He loved a day of the golf course or at the horse races followed by a great dinner with friends.
Later in life, Jim's military service became more important to him and he took great pride in telling people he was a Marine. He had many stories about being stationed in the Marine Barracks in Washington DC where he had ceremonial duties and was a guard at Camp David.
In honoring his wishes, Jim's ashes will be placed in Kanas City at Mt Moriah Cemetery where many of his family members are buried. No matter where he lived, Kanas City was home. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation for the James Larimore, Jr Scholarship for Journalism: SRJC Foundation 1501 Mendocino Avenue Santa Rosa, Ca 95401-4395 http://give.santarosa.edu/jlarimore
