Ladies and gentlemen,
We gather here today to celebrate and honor the life of a wonderful person, our dear friend and colleague, Liz Taylor, who has left us too soon. It is truly heartbreaking that she is no more with us, but I am truly grateful for the moments that I have gotten to share with and learn from her. Today, I would like to share my thoughts and memories of Liz and try to paint a picture of the exceptional person that she was, especially for those of you who did not have the opportunity to know her as well as I did.
Liz was a phenomenal professional in her workplace. She played a pivotal role in the X-Ray department and always strived for the highest levels of excellence in her work. Her commitment, dedication and passion for her work were immense, which not only earned her the respect of her colleagues but also benefited all those whose lives she touched through her profession.

One of the most admirable traits of Liz was her compassion and genuine warmth towards elderly patients. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly and understood their emotional, psychological and physical needs. She always went that extra mile to make them comfortable – whether it was providing a cup of coffee, offering a warm blanket or simply dedicating her time.
Liz’s love for the elderly was not just limited to fulfilling their basic needs. She believed in brightening up their spirits as well. I fondly recall the countless instances when she would sing a little tune to cheer up her elderly patients, and the smile that emerged on their faces was priceless. Her kindness and empathy had a unique power to lift up the spirits of everyone who came to know her.
As we gather here to say goodbye to our dear friend, I am reminded of a passage that has brought comfort to many during difficult times – Psalm 23. I would like to read it for you now:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
These words remind us that even in the face of heartache, we are not alone, and we have reason for hope. As we say our final farewells to Liz, let us also take a moment to appreciate and celebrate the legacy she has left behind. Liz showed us the true meaning of kindness, empathy and love.
May we all take a piece of her spirit with us and be inspired by the humble, compassionate and dedicated soul that was Liz Taylor. And may her memories continue to bring light and love to our lives.
Thank you, Liz, for your unwavering friendship and the impact you had on every single one of us. You will be dearly missed, and forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear friend.
