Carol Greve - Unknown - January 07, 2022

Departed: 01/07/2022 (Cincinnati)
Obituary Preview: Carol Ann Greve, of Cincinnati, who loved her family above all, left them on January 7, 2022 at age 84. She was born August 17, 1937, the fourth of nine children.   Growing up in a large family left her with the abilities to collaborate, negotiate, and empathize with others. And she needed it while raising her own four children. She had the energy and persistence to fight for her family – she was the epitome of bootstrap success.   As a single mother, she miraculously made it to every soccer game and parent-teacher conference, as well as took her family on the occasional canoe trip or overnight.   Carol had many interests during her lifetime and was always trying to learn the next new thing. She fearlessly tackled home improvement – she cut door into a wall and helped her sister remodel a bathroom, learning to install sinks and toilets from a book. She was also the family genealogist, a life master bridge player, and an avid knitter. When she died, she was working on a blanket using a new knitting loom.   Above all, Carol loved her family. She is survived by five siblings, Bob Greve, Mary Faukner, Jim Greve (Susan), Rita Hauck, and Tom Greve (Peggy); her four children: Werner Wischerath (Janette-deceased), Rita Frazier, and Peg McDonough (Rick), and Wayne Wischerath (Victoria); five grandchildren: Megan McDonough, Cheyne Frazier, Carole Frazier, Aidan McDonough, and Catherine Wischerath; and one great-grandchild, Ava Beloate.  She also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday January 12th from 1 pm until time of funeral service at 2 pm.
Following the ceremony, friends and family can gather to celebrate Carol's life at the Blue Ash Civic League.

Jessica’s heartbreaking loss is felt by all family and friends who loved and cherished her. She is survived by her mother Deborah Sue Moore (Partin), stepfather David John Moore, father Martin Joseph Marquez, step-mother Michele Rosalie Marquez, brothers Marty and Manny Marquez, sister Diamond Morgan-Washington and nephew Raymond Washington Jr ; grandmother Virginia “Betty” Partin and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of her family. Paul K Emmerich, Sr. - Unknown - November 10, 2021

Departed: 11/10/2021 (Cincinnati)
Obituary Preview: Paul K Emmerich, Sr
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Nov 10, 2021.  He was born on Sep 25, 1925, the son of Charles and Bertha (Zick) Emmerich.  Predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Rose (Romanello); his parents; all his siblings: Howard (Charlotte), Charles, Victor (Matilda), Arthur, and Joseph Emmerich, and Dorothy (Charles) Fischer; and all his in-laws: Dan (Mary), Sam (Betty), and Alex (Bess) Romanello.  He is survived by his children: Jo Ann Nardini, Shirlee (Gary) Koehne, Paul (Mary) Jr., Trisha Ney, Christopher (Karen), John (Christine), and Jennifer (Scott) Elliott; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and countless extended family members.  Dad had many names during his life: son, brother, husband, dad, uncle, grandpa, and George.
Dad’s life started out difficult – his mother died 6 weeks after he was born.  Raised mostly by his grandmother and aunt, he lived his early days through the Great Depression and then WWII.  While he didn’t serve in WWII, he watched all his brothers march off to defend the US.  He grew up in the Clifton area and was proud to graduate from Roger Bacon HS; forever a Spartan.  He met the love of his life, Rose, in 1944 and they were married on Nov 9, 1946.  They eventually settled in Oakley where they raised their family in the shadow of St. Cecilia school and Church and where he lived until his death.  Dad worked over 40 years at CG&E and sacrificed to send all his children to Purcell, Marian, and Purcell-Marian HS.  He enjoyed almost 35 years of retirement and his family kept him busy!  He had many interests: playing in golf and bowling leagues; basketball with the kids and grandkids; playing pinochle; swimming in his pool; gardening; attending all the grandkids and great-grandkid events; daily crossword puzzle; and travelling to South Carolina on vacation.  But mostly Dad loved his family and loved to have them around him to celebrate their life events.  Dad was a devout Catholic, attending Mass each day for over 30 years.  Dad was a generous man; he never wanted much in the way of material things and was always buying extra for those in need.  He was always there to help; in his 70s and 80s he would still shovel snow for the “old” people in the neighborhood.  He lived a blessed life and will be missed dearly by family and friends.  However, we know he is eternally reunited with his Rose, who likely met him in heaven with a “C’mon Paul; I’ve been waiting”.
The family would like to thank the care givers at Christ Hospital for the exceptional care they gave our father and the guidance and comfort provided to our family.

Aimee Huber - July 08, 1969 - September 20, 2021

Departed: 09/20/2021 (Cincinnati)
Obituary Preview: Aimee Huber was the world’s most successful treasure hunter. Her treasure was joy, and she found it every day. Aimee was the third of four children born to Tony and Elaine Huber. From her early days on Crystal Road, Aimee’s lust for life was palpable. She found joy in sports, both as a spectator and participant, although her greatest joy was sharing it with friends and family, especially her dad. Aimee brought her energy to teams but never lost her compassion. While playing softball, her big heart led her to rescue an abandoned kitten who had come into her line of play in left field. She named the kitten after the ball field and brought him into her home. That was her style-caretaker and friend for life. Aimee’s wanderlust took her from Middletown to California to Cincinnati, where she lived over the past 25 years. While she loved traveling with family and friends, Aimee found a unique blend of both peace and excitement simply being at home.  She loved entertaining in the backyard of her Strader home but also was the first to volunteer for any community event, including the annual East End Garden Party.  Aimee brought this same energy from early days at Habits Café and more recently to the walls of Woodford Academy.
Aimee believed that every object, every animal, and every person had value. One of her favorite pastimes was restoring any old or rusty item. She could resurrect anything with a can of spray paint, super glue, and duct tape. If there was a thrift store within 30 minutes, she was there, rifling through bins in search of Converse, hats, concert T’s, or the biggest prize, jeans, especially bibs! We know how much Aimee loved her outfit changes! Her treasure cove of restored chairs, gliders, and unique yard adornments centered around a fire fostered multiple late-night conversations and laughter.
Not only was Aimee skilled at finding treasure in the most unique places, she was selfless in sharing it with others. Whether it was leaving notes in people’s offices, delivering homemade gifts in a brown paper bag marked with her trademark star, or bringing wildflowers to brighten someone’s day, Aimee knew that a treasure shared with others was more valuable than one kept to herself. This may explain her love of music, as it allowed her joy, talents, and energy to touch her fellow bandmates and her enthralled audience. Aimee never formally learned music. Rather, she became an exceptional drummer simply by listening to and learning from others, from Big Breasted Bully to Poke/Filthy to Judge and Jury. Aimee loved to share music with others. Even with young children, her ingenuity shined. She would tie together dried spaghetti as beginner drumsticks for the kids in her life.
Several years ago, Aimee had her first neck surgery. Not even a neck brace could stop her from picking up her sticks and jamming the night away. The rhythm of the drums, the sound of the music, and the smile and applause from the crowds was much more powerful than a pain in the neck. She would not be deterred. Aimee illuminated the world both literally in her love of flashlights (and frequent gifts to others) and figuratively as a guiding star, a beacon of light that shines beautifully in the sky, bright and effervescent. We will forever be thankful to Aimee for shining her bright light into our world. Even though she is gone, we know she is jamming in Rock and Roll Heaven filling the sky with stars and our hearts with her joyous treasure.
Aimee is survived by her partner and friend, Chelle Leisgang; her parents, Tony and Elaine; and siblings, Chris, Angie (Mike), and Brian. She is aunt to Amanda (Craig), Samantha, Brian, and Justin and a great-aunt to Elena, Colt, Austin, and Aubri.
Aimee was preceded in death by her friend/sister-in-law, Teresa; her grandmother, Opal, Bud and Elaine Leisgang; and her four four-legged children, Levi, Kayla, Buddy, and Junie. She will also be remembered by countless friends from Ohio and beyond.
Aimee always loved a good party surrounded by friends and family. In honor of her, please join us in celebrating the life of this amazing person. Please, wear whatever makes you happy, Aimee always did. Her viewing is on Sunday, 10/3 from 12-2 at Clepper-Kelsch followed by a Celebration of Life reception at the 20th Century Theatre, with food, drinks, laughter, and, of course, good music.

He was 18-years-old when he met 16-year-old Mary Alice Beuerlein and they were married on June 15, 1973. Billy and Mary settled into their home on Ravine Street in Clifton where they lived for 40 years and raised their family. He made sure their kids and sometimes neighborhood friends experienced as many things as possible to give them a full outlook on life.
Billy was a hardworking man who taught his kids the value of making your own living and learning real-life skills to help them out in life. As a young man, he worked at Convalescent Hospital assisting people who are disabled. To support his family, Billy held jobs as a landscaper and a physical therapy assistant. As he got older, he took on the responsibility of babysitting his grandchildren.
When he wasn’t with his family, Billy enjoyed watching movies and taking occasional trips to the casino with Mary. Billy especially loved taking long drives in the country, hanging out with his boys at the flea market, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and the taste of a hot cup of coffee.
Billy’s spirit now rests with those who left this life before him including his son Joshua and daughter Latashua. He is also now reunited with his loving parents Foster and Jessie Barrett, brothers Bobby and Tommy Barrett, and sister Phyllis Barrett.
