He was surrounded by Family at the time of his passing. George grew up in the vibrant Astoria Queens and was drafted into the U.S. Army at the age 23 where he served his Country for 2 years. After returning from the Army, George met the love of his life, Joyce and they settled down in Bellmore NY, where they raised their 2 children, Jennifer and Chris. George began working for NBC as a motorcycle courier in the late 60’s, and then got promoted to cameraman where he got to be a part of all the breaking headlines and be on the front line of the biggest stories. George’s favorite past times was spending time with his Ham Radio brothers and sisters, and playing with his 3 grandchildren which he adored. He leaves behind his loving Family, daughter Jennifer Orosz married to Anthony Orosz and their daughter Olivia and Son Chris Cavaliere married to Jaime Cavaliere and their children Jacob and Samantha. He also leaves behind many beautiful cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws, wonderful friends and his best friend kitties, Chassy and Ladybug. We will miss him so very much.
