Richard Douglas Anderson - January 03, 1933 - July 20, 2020

Departed: 07/20/2020 (Brookfield)
Obituary Preview: Richard Douglas Anderson of Cudahy Wis. passed away on Monday July 20th, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Richard was born on June 2nd, 1933 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the son of the late Christian Anderson and the late Florence (Heiser) Anderson.
While Richard was a quiet man, he was known for his witty and kidding nature that was always followed with a joyful smile. Richard was the proud father to five children, and he was also the father to many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, friends and any of those who would take the time to listen to his venturous hunting and fishing stories, as well as his left paw knockout victories while boxing in navy smoking rings. He was a dedicated husband and fathers who worked hard to provide a safe and loving home for the family he loved so dearly.
Richard was an outdoorsman with a passion to be in the field hunting pheasant, deer, squirrels, and rabbits, or on the water fishing for trout, muskies, northerns, and walleyes. Richard shared his love of the outdoors with his children who can tell you stories of their own, from the times of sitting near the creek in the middle of the cedar swamp trying to point out a bedded down buck, to watching the fishing trailer axel throwing spark into the air as it rolled freely down the road after separating from the trailer. Richard also shared quiet time with his beautiful Josie fishing the pristine north Wisconsin trout streams. As with many things in the cycle of life, passions such as Richards live on through what he has passed on to his sons and daughter and their sons and daughters.
Richard is survived by his children, Richard Joseph Anderson, Jeffrey Martin Anderson and spouse Emily Jane Anderson, Douglas Wayne Anderson and spouse Barbara Burnie, Elizabeth Carol (Anderson) Silverio and spouse Kevin Silverio, and Dwayne Lee Anderson, and grandchildren, Ricky Anderson, Josh Anderson, Amber Anderson, Logan Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Brittany (Anderson) Rowe, Brandon Anderson, Jessica, Jennifer Broker, Greg Miller, Andrew Silverio, Andrea Silverio, Justin Mich, Nicholas Anderson, and the late Tyler Anderson. Furthermore, he is survived by his sister Jeanine Rhode and brother Gaylord Anderson, as well as great grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
