Juan Manuel Valenzuela was born June 2, 1980, to Pedro Valenzuela II and the late Rosa Maria Valenzuela. He passed away April 8, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He loved sports and being outdoors, golfing, fishing, and grilling whenever he could. Most of all he loved his family. It was no secret that his niece “Chula Baby” Rosa, held a special place in his heart and he loved all of his nephews, Pedro, Alex, Q, and Celo like they were his own. After almost 9 years growing up and figuring out life together Juan and his greatest love, his everything, Ariana Alicia-Soto Valenzuela married on July 15, 2011. He had six children: Lousienna Manuela Valenzuela, Juan Louis Martin Valenzuela, Rodolfo Barron IV, Juan Manuel Valenzuela Jr., Alicia Concepcion Valenzuela, and Ana Maria Valenzuela. Also cherishing his memories are his brother Pedro Valenzuela III and sister Nora Maria Valenzuela. Juan was loved by many, and he loved big in return. He leaves behind many special people including his best friend Ricky, his Nikki boo, honorary daughters Kendall and Makenna, and his always sister Sara.
He joins his long missed “Hillbilly” Steve, his grandma Ana Maria Valenzuela, and his beloved “Poppy Larry” who left this earth before him.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff and care team at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital for giving their all to his care. It was no surprise that he melted their hearts as he did ours.
A Celebration in his honor will be held on April 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the UA Local 85 Hall located at 3535 Bay Road, Saginaw, Mi 48603.

John David Jr., age 91 of Wheeler, MI passed away April 1, 2022, at his grandson’s home in Saginaw Township.  Son of the late John and Bertha David Sr., John was born December 31, 1930, in Thomas Township, Michigan. He married Evelyn Inman on July 3, 1960, in Saginaw. Together they purchased a farm in Wheeler, Michigan which John enjoyed raising crops and animals. John also worked at General Motors Grey Iron Foundry for 37 years and at Dailey Pickle Co. for 29 years. John thoroughly enjoyed working, gardening, and raising animals on the farm.
He is survived by 3 stepchildren, Thomas (Geri) Inman, Evie (Gary) Lawton, and Julianne Branch; his daughter and sons-in-law, Patty Inman, Carol Inman, Diane (Bruce) Tyler, Gene Jacobs and James Branch, many grandchildren; and many, many great and great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010, and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw. Pastor Matthew Hauser will officiate. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday April 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Surviving are four children: Zachary Hinds, Kaitlyn Hinds, Justin Hinds and Megan Dickinson and 2 grandchildren, Ella Herron, and Hunter Dickinson, and one sister, Lisa Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife Karen on October 31, 2021, and a daughter, Christina Hinds on March 18, 2007. Memorial Service will take place from 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25th at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens

Vincent on December 21, 2005, in Saginaw.  Mr. Varney was employed in the lumbering business prior to his death. He enjoyed gardening, going on nature walks, and going to the beach to barbeques and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Kerry; his children, Melissa Varney, Jonathon (Katie) Varney, Crystal “Cookie” Varney, Samantha Christian, Faith Christian, and Dustin Rieger; 32 grandchildren including Sara Varney, Caitlyn Aeder, Robert “Bobby” Aeder Jr., Emily Varney, Ariel Varney, and Jonathon Varney II; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Emily (Henry) Oliverez, Dolly Dingman, and Joanne Eberlein; and several nieces and nephews survive.
He was preceded in death by his brothers James, Leroy, Cleve “Booze” and Bobby Varney, and by his father-in-law Michael T. Snider.

She was employed as a Phlebotomist at Saginaw General Hospital and St. Lukes Hospital for 15 years. Sherri loved to watch her sons play sports including baseball, football, and bowling.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and doing needle point.
Surviving are her children, Rachel McFarland, Jennifer Hoin, Jeremy (Kelly) Cradit, Andrew (Kimberly) Cradit, and Drake McFarland; 7 grandchildren; 1 sister, Carolyn (Michael) Slagle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Cradit, a brother, Keith Wiles, and her parents, Marilyn, and Clarence Wiles.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8th at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Surviving is her sister, Cathy (James) Wagner of Saginaw; and 4 great-nieces and nephews, Landen and Logan Wagner, and Lauryn and Lucas Hildebrant.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Geraldine Williams, and by her nephew, Trevor S. Wagner who was serving with the U. S. Marine Corps in 1999.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

Son of the late Daniel and Candelaria (Perez) Garza, Roy was born July 27, 1955, in Saginaw. He was graduate of Buena Vista High School prior to moving to New York to pursue a career in acting. He later graduated from Michigan State University and the University of Iowa Law School. He recently retired from a career as an attorney in Cook County Public Defender’s office. He was a member of the American Bar Association.
He married Marcia Martins Arruda in 1997. They enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, Brazil, and Mexico, Roy loved to read and enjoyed acting in the M.S.U. Department of Theater and later in life for a production of the play MacBeth. Roy is survived by his wife, Marcia; his siblings, Betty (brother-in-law) Tim Acevedo) Garza and Antonio Garza of Saginaw, MI, and Henry Velasquez of San Antonio, TX; his aunt Peggy Perez; a nephew, Matthew Garza; a niece, Bella Garza; and special cousins, Margarita Jimenez
and Gloria Lenard; and many other relatives in Mexico.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Aunts and Uncles, Leodoro Perez, Raul Perez, Blass “Ray” Perez, and Lucy Perez of Saginaw, Eva Nieto of Adrian, MI, and Aurora Jimenez of Columbus, TN.
A Memorial Service will take place 12:00 noon Saturday, February 12th at Wheaton Bible Church, 27 W. 500 North Ave. in West Chicago, IL 60185. Rev. Bill Oberlin will officiate. Ray Ronald Duve Sr., age 71 of Saginaw passed away Saturday January 15, 2022, at Aleda Lutz V.A. Medical Center after a long illness due to Crohn’s Disease. Son of the late Harvey and Fanny (Schaeding) Duve, Ray was born March 19, 1950, in Saginaw and was a 1968 graduate of Buena Vista High School. Following high school, Ray enlisted with the U.S. Navy From 1969 to 1973 and was a mechanic on the T-28 Engine while stationed in Florida.  He married Rosezan Morrison on September 26, 1969, and with that union they welcomed Ray Jr., Patrick, and Holly.
After serving his country, Ray returned to Michigan and worked at a number on manufacturing jobs. Many years later, after being laid off due to lack of work or closing of factories, Ray retired after being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.
He was member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Surviving is his wife, Rosezan; 3 children, Ray (Julie Townsend) Duve Jr., Patrick and special friend (Monique Capps) Duve, and Holly (Brandon) Schaffner; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Braeyden, Nicholas, Adam, and Emma Rose; and 1 sister Barbara (George) Rousseau.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brothers, Harvey, and Virgil Duve; his father and mother-in-law Frank and Lorraine Morrison; 1 niece; 2 nephews; 2 great-nephews; and 1 great-great niece.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave in Saginaw with Pastor William Hessler officiating. Son of the late Paul and Betty Childs, Jerry was born September 14, 1952, in Saginaw, and was a 1971 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He was married to Connie Hawley on September 16, 2000, in Saginaw. Jerry knew many people and worked as a drywaller all his life side by side with his brother Tom who he truly looked up to. He was an avid and well-known drummer who played in many bands over the years. His favorites were playing with his brother Tom in a band that was a tribute to Hank Williams and in “Childs Play Band” with brother Tom and nephew Christopher. He also loved hunting, fishing, weightlifting, beer, and cigarettes and being around people, especially friends and family. He was a member of the Eagles Club #3963 for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; his children, Jerry (Heather) Childs, Jason (Lacey) Childs, Julie (Scott) Garcia, Joshus Childs, Jason (Beth) Keely, and Jody (Frank) Zuhlke III; Step-children Marijo Metevia, William (Faith) Metevia, Matthew (Frances) Metevia, Jeanne (Bobby) Hall, Angela (Scott) Smeader, Jennifer (JR) Smith, and Jamee Miller; brother, Tom (Cindy) Childs; a sister Sandy Sanford Borchardt; sister-in-law Donna ( Mike) Rupp; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Samuel was born March 5, 1959, in Monterrey, Mexico. He was the son of the late Samuel and Sara Gutierrez. Also preceding him in death are his brother Martin A. Gutierrez and nephew Martin J. Gutierrez.
By the grace of God Sam lived and by His grace he died. Samuel was kind, industrious worker, loving husband, and father. He served honorably in the United States Army for 8 years and was employed at the Meijer Store in Saginaw Township.  Sam enjoyed traveling, hiking, and canoeing. He loved his hobbies and spending time with family and friends.
Now Samuel is survived by his wife, Christina V. Chingman; children Samuel (Lindsey) Gutierrez, Cody Gutierrez, Alexis and Albert Chingman-Tijerina; special grandson, Albert Chingman-Tijerina; granddaughters, Phoenix, Vida, and Maria; his siblings, Hilario Gutierrez, Maria (Pedro) Ortiz, Jose Gutierrez, Marcial Gutierrez, Sara (James) Robar, and Elias (Shannon) Gutierrez; special nieces, Sonia, and Cruz Gutierrez; friend, Diane Krause; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was employed by several hospitals in the Saginaw area before her retirement, Saginaw General Hospital, Martin Luther Nursing Home, and in home healthcare. Rose was a committed wife and mother she was devoted to her family, parents, and brothers. She went to nursing school while her children were young and instilled commitment and hard work into them.  Rose loved to garden, travel, visiting her children and grandchildren out of state and those who lived in Saginaw, and driving her, and her husband to the casino.
Surviving is her 4 children, Carlos (Heidi) Gomez, Santiago Gomez, Victor Gomez, and his fiancée, Maxine, and Carmen (Jared) Lynch; 6 grandchildren, Joaquin and Thalia Lynch, Scarlett Gomez, Madeline Gomez, Jordan Liam, and Jaxson James; 3 brothers, Joseph E. (Martha) Alvarado Jr, Rudy Alvarado, Roberto (Virginia) Alvarado; and many beloved nieces and nephews survive. Surviving are his sons, Raymond (Linda) Jacklin, and Robert (Karen) Jacklin III, 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Surviving is her sons Angel, and Javier Vargas; the love of her life, her granddaughter Anyah Vargas; her sisters, Anna, Alicia, and Rosanna Vargas, all of Saginaw; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and her church family of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, whom she was so fond of.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert, and Miguel Vargas.
Dolores enjoyed listening to Tejano Music and reading.  She was a great cook and baker.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved granddaughter who was her world.

He was a graduate of Carrollton High School and attended Delta College for 2 years. Al served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from 1965 to 1968.  He married Rose Mary Alvarado on November 21, 1970, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Zilwaukee.
Al was employed as a Millwright at General Motors from 1969 until his retirement after 36 years in 2005.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local 668 and was a former Golden Gloves Boxer.  He enjoyed fixing cars, tinkering around the house and backyard, and was proficient at welding and building things. He loved being with family at gatherings, traveling to see his children out of state and going to the casino. He was a beloved, happy man who will be missed by many.
Surviving is his wife, Rose Mary Gomez; 4 children, Carlos (Heidi) Gomez, Santiago Gomez, Victor Gomez, and his fiancée, Maxine, and Carmen (Jared) Lynch; 6 grandchildren, Joaquin and Thalia Lynch, Scarlett Gomez, Madeline Gomez, Jordan Liam, and Jaxson James; 4 brothers, Oscar (Janie) Gomez, Jose Gomez, Carmen Gomez Jr., and Herman (Mary Soyla) Gomez; and many beloved nieces and nephews survive.

She also had two special cousins, Kimberly, and Roman Barrientos. Heather loved life and helping her family and friends. She loved to cook, barbeque, bake, fixing things, doing yard work, home improvements, being outside and playing board games. Heather was always there for her family whether helping them fix something, giving advice, or being there if they needed someone to talk to. Heather will be missed by many.
Surviving is her mother, Catherine Warda; siblings Christopher (Christina) Terrasas, and Roxanne Terrasas, and many aunts, and uncles, in addition to those mentioned above.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Terrasas.
