Born in Sao Miguel, Azores on September 11, 1936, daughter of the late Virginio and Mary (Jesse) Pacheco. She was educated in the Azores and came to the US as a young girl. She worked for the former Browning and Ellis Curtain factory’s Plymouth as a curtain cutter. Emily and Charlie enjoyed traveling in their retirement years. Emily enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking for her family and her Portuguese sweet bread was a family favorite.Emily is survived by her daughters Kathy M. Allen and her husband Scott of Plymouth and Diane Kemp and her husband John of Plymouth. She is the sister of Ida Morey of Plymouth and the late Hazel Tavares who passed away on April 18th and the late Nicholas Pacheco. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicholas C. Allen and Casey James Allen and the great grandmother of Kaleigh Allen and Jordan Berry. Obituary Preview: Cornelius Finley Jr. age 80 of East Sandwich, MA passed Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA.He is survived by his wife Lorethea (Rodrigues) Finley, his children Corneilus Finley III, Tia Finley, and Carlos Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren Marcus Finley, Thaddeus Finley, Brianna Williams and Alejandro Williams, and his sister Joyce Finley Stamps. Cornelius was born in Winchester, MA on July 22, 1943 to Corneilus Finley Sr. and Anna Puryear. Cornelius attended Newton North High School where he excelled at Track. He continuously shattered State records in the 100 meter, 200 meter, and the 4x100 relay. He also played basketball. Upon completion of High School, he attended the University of Maryland where he studied Computer Science.Cornelius served in the United States Air Force and was deployed to Vietnam. Corneilus enjoyed working at the Massachusetts State Lottery as a Senior Computer Analyst. He worked there up until his 80th birthday And two weeks before being admitted to the hospital. He worked there for more than 40 years. Cornelius enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Celtics. He watched the Celtics up until he couldn’t anymore. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball and tennis. You would often find him in the backyard playing soccer with his grandson Marcus.Visitation with the Finley family will be held on Monday May 13, 2024, at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 150 Court Street, Plymouth, MA from 3:00-4:30 PM. Services will be held at 4:30 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.

He had worked as a Mechanic/HVAC tech at local area companies along with being the jack of all trades.Brett had a great love of all animals especially his German Shepherd, Lincoln. He had a huge heart and would do anything for his family and friends. Obituary Preview: Mary E. Adams passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth on April 20, 2024, at the age of 74. She was a cherished mother to Amanda Burke and her husband Andy Burke and Andrew Adams of Andover. She was the loving grandmother of Ella, Quinn, and Katie Burke and Maddie and Ryan Adams. She is also survived by her two nieces Bridgett Quinn Weber and Sayward Quinn. She was the sister of the late John Quinn. Mary was born on November 21, 1949, in Medford to John and Mary Quinn. She lived in Medford for 65 years until moving to Plymouth when she retired to live with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. She was an important part of their lives and will be greatly missed. Grandma was loved deeply by her grandkids. She attended Salem State University and was a social studies teacher in Malden and Everett for many years. Her love of history led her to volunteer at Plimoth Plantation. Mary had a passion for gardening and birds. She enjoyed adding new plants and flowers to her garden every year. Her window boxes were always admired. She loved her cat, Stormy who she thought was the best cat she had ever had. Mary had many friends who were special to her, especially her best friend, Dolores Dunne Legeyt whom she met when they were 15 years old. Mary’s nurturing spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Her dedication to her family and her unwavering love will be remembered and cherished forever. Obituary Preview: Joseph W. Tompkins of Taunton formerly of West Bridgewater and Brockton, died peacefully on April 20th at B.I.D. Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of the late June C. (Landry) Tompkins. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on March 12, 1944, son of the late Wilfred and Catherine (Voci) Tompkins, he was educated in Brockton and a graduate of Brockton High School. He went on to serve his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he worked for Chase & Sons in Randolph and later as a truck driver for Lacina Trucking in West Bridgewater. Joe enjoyed riding his red Harley, playing his guitar, going to aviation shows his model airplanes, singing, photography and the Boston Bruins. He had a great love for his animals especially his beloved canine companion Chica.He is survived by his daughter Annette Tompkins of Acushnet, his sons William Hamblin of Wareham, David Hamblin and his wife Cheryl of Forestdale, the late Kevin Hamblin, Peter Hamblin and his wife Kaitlin of Middleboro, and Todd Hamblin and his wife Jane of Kingston. He is the brother of Robert Tompkins of Attleboro and Bernice Savage of Kentucky and the late Lorraine Murphy and Thomas Tompkins. He was the grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 8. She was educated in the Azores and came to the US at the age of 14. She worked for Party Lite in Plymouth for over 27 years and was a longtime resident of the Kingston/Plymouth area. Hazel was a member of the Plymouth Council on Aging.She is survived by her son Gregory Tavares and his girlfriend Betsy Burnham of Plymouth, her daughter Debra Bradshaw and her husband Kevin of Carver. She is survived by her sisters Emily Costa and Ida Morey both of Plymouth and was the sister of the late Nicholas Pacheco. She is the grandmother of Nathaniel Bradshaw, Brandi Tavares and Brittany Tavares and the late Joshua and Caleb Bradshaw. She is the loving sister of Lynnette Murdock and her husband Stephen of Plymouth, Albert Otto and his wife Evelyn of Plymouth, Barry Otto of Plymouth, Christopher Otto and his partner Donna Valerio of CO, and Melissa (Otto) Jette and her partner Michael Bolduc of NH. Jennifer is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as many friends.Born in Plymouth on May 3, 1961, daughter of the late Bernard A. Otto and Arlene L. (Morse) Keezer. Jennifer grew up in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth Carver High School class of 1979. She later went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from UMass Dartmouth. She spent most of her career working for Country Club Enterprise which brought her much happiness. Jennifer loved to travel. She enjoyed following one of her favorite Jazz and Blues bands the Tommy Castro Band to places like CT, NY, and RI with an amazing group of friends. She even enjoyed taking a jazz and blues cruise to the Caribbean. Jennifer loved to dance, she even enrolled in ballroom classes at one point. Jennifer loved to cook, not that she would admit it. She also loved all animals.
