Ronalee was predeceased by her husband, (Donald/1991), son (Daniel/2021), and brother (Stephen/2021). She is survived by her children: David (Katherine) Merritt and Donna Merritt (David Wright); grandchildren: Brian Ely, Steven (Stephanie) Ely, Allissa Merritt; great-grandchildren: Emma, Collins, Allison, and Logan. She is also survived by sister: Judy (Arnie) Phillips; sister-in-law, Nancy Merritt, dear cousin Amy Jewett; life-long friend Joyce Hooker, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Over the years, Ronalee served as an Election Inspector, was a life member of the Scottsville Volunteer Fire Department Co. 6, and the Scottsville Garden Study Club. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Westwood Commons Senior Living Community in North Chili, the staff on 4200 at Unity Hospital, Mary and Jessica from Rochester Regional Hospice Care, and especially to the truly wonderful staff at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center for their kindness, care, and compassion shown to both mom as well as our whole family.

Carol Van De Water - September 02, 1941 - February 10, 2024

Obituary Preview: Carol N. Van De Water of Hilton, age 82, passed away peacefully Saturday February 10 after an extended illness. Born in Rochester, New York she was the daughter of Bertha Erholt and Victor Nothiger. After graduating from Holy Family and St. Agnes high school, she completed registered nurses training at St. Mary’s. She married Thomas J. Van De Water III, moved to Greece, NY and had three children. She valued education and athletic achievement (often very firmly). Whether it was school, Scouting, swimming, baseball or football events, Carol was there and cheering for her kids (often very loudly).
As a radiation-oncology and visiting nurse, she provided compassionate care across three decades. In fact, several patients became lifelong friends and shared holidays with the family. Carol is remembered by her family (and all the charities that still send calendars) as generous and kind. She consistently enriched those around her as wife, mother, nurse, neighbor and friend. We will miss her big heart, thoughtful advice and laughter.
She is survived by her husband Thomas, children Thomas Van De Water IV, Amy Cleveland and Victor Van De Water and sister Nancy Goodwin. The family would like to thank the staff at Hildebrandt Hospice and Unity Intensive Care Units for their professional care.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1-3pm at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester St. Scottsville. Private interment.

Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Olive Sargent Kernutt and brother Donald Kernutt. Sallie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, J. Peter Garland, their two children Ellen (Tegan) Brennen, Steven (Jennifer) Garland and by three grandchildren Shelby (Jeremy) Adams, Avery Brennen, and Elye Garland.
Sallie was born in Batavia, New York and lived her early years in Le Roy, New York. She attended Marietta College in Ohio. Sallie loved to sing and was a founding member of the Granbury Civic Chorus and sang with her church choir and Melody Bells. She enjoyed gardening and you could often find her either in the backyard or greenhouse.
Her Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January. 13, 2024, at Machpelah Cemetery, North Street, Le Roy, New York. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Granbury, Texas the following week.

Obituary Preview: Monette Mahoney of Jacksonville, NC went to the Lord on Monday, October 16th, 2023 at her home with her husband Michael, and her family at her side. She was born in St. Joseph, MO to Leonard and Virginia (Hilgert) Voltmer in 1951. She graduated from LeBlond High School in St. Joseph, MO in 1969. She attended Mount St. Scholastica College in 1969, where she met and married her husband. She later graduated from Missouri
Western State College (B.S. in Education in Vocal Music) in 1980, St. Bernard’s Institute (M.A. in Theology) in 1993, and the University of Rochester (Graduate Certificate in Catholic School Administration) in 2003.
Monette was a Music Teacher and a Catholic School Principal for many years. She was Principal at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Wayland; Principal at Sacred Heart Cathedral School, Rochester; and Principal at All Saints Catholic Academy, Rochester. She was also a Pastoral Associate and Director of Faith Formation at St. Mary’s Church in Canandaigua (1992 – 2001) and a Pastoral Musician. She was a gifted musician with a beautiful voice and led music for many parishes over the years. She sang in the Bishop’s Choir at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Rochester for important celebrations, such as the Ordinations of Priests and Deacons for service in the Diocese of Rochester. Monette was also Principal of three Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Raleigh, NC. She led St. Paul Catholic School in New Bern, NC; Annunciation Catholic School in Havelock, NC; and finally Infant of Prague Catholic School in Jacksonville, NC, where she eventually retired.
Monette was known for her love of her faculty and students, her creativity, and her energy and enthusiasm. Her family often laughed that she put her track shoes on first thing every morning and raced out the door. They often quipped that she got more done accidentally by 10 or 11 am than most people did on purpose all day. Monette was known to her family as “Honey.” She delighted in her family. Each summer in the second week of July her family gathered at the beach or somewhere in the mountains. She enjoyed preparing breakfast for
everyone as they arrived in “Honey’s Kitchen” each morning, which was always open until 11 am. She also enjoyed sibling vacations (Sibcations) with her sister-in-law’s and sometimes their spouses, Fran (Junior) Blalock, Carol (John) Cronin, and Sandy (Mark) Klockziem, whether in the mountains or at the Chesapeake Bay. Over the years Monette enjoyed hiking, canoeing, golfing, cooking (especially for her family) sewing, quilting, decorating in the home, particularly seasonally, and gardening. Most of all she enjoyed visiting with her family, whether in Rochester, Orlando, or Las Vegas. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. She loved the mountains, wherever they happened to be. Among her favorite sayings was “the mountains are calling” and “not all who wander are lost.”
Monette was predeceased by her father Leonard and her mother Virginia Voltmer. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Bill Oothout.
Monette is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael Mahoney and five children, David Mahoney, John (Jessica) Mahoney, Mark (Nicole) Mahoney, Paul (Jennifer) Mahoney, Juliya McAllister and 12 grandchildren, Siobhan, Ashlin, Ciara, Liam, Emma, Carrick, Molly, Audrey, Eydie, Kilian, Onalee, and Henrik.
She had six children and 13 grandchildren when she counted her German foreign exchange son who remained close to the family, Boris (Lisa Wassman) Woelecke and their daughter Minna, which she loved to do. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn Oothout, Bill (Vicky) Voltmer, and Rick Stephanie Ray) Voltmer. She is survived by many nephews and nieces. Friends may call Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 3 – 6 pm at J. H. Cameron Funeral Home, 26 Rochester Street, Scottsville. Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at St. Mary of the
Assumption, 99 Main Street, Scottsville. Interment Holy Angels Cemetery, Scottsville.

She was born on November 30, 1921 in Bethany Center to the late Charles Wesson Phillips and Nellie (Cox) Phillips. In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, E. James Heaman and sisters, Doris Darch and Olive Bush.
Betty Heaman, affectionately known to her grandchildren as “Fast Betty”, lived life to the fullest. She worked as a telephone operator, homemaker, and stay at home mother. Betty was a long time 4-H leader and the family hair stylist and cake decorator. She was an active member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church where she participated in the Priscilla Circle and Bible studies and volunteered at many church functions. Betty golfed until the age of 92, bowled, rode horseback, was an excellent seamstress, and artist. She loved hats and shoes, made the very best apple pies, and was an incredible role model and gift to her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Betty Heaman is survived by her daughters Ellen (Nick) Zinni and Jane (Ted) Darocha, sister-in-law, Betty Lou Welker; grandchildren, Bethany (Zak) Brooks, Rose Zinni, Melanie (Brad) Cottier, and James (Carrie) Darocha; six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Betsy Levinson (née Frost), of Dover, MA, formerly of Le Roy, NY, passed away on September 23, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Henry Levinson. Loving mother to David and his wife Sarah and cherished grandmother to Claire and Evelyn. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Norman, and brother, David (Carol) Frost, as well as her nieces and nephews, Heather, Robert, Jill, Marny, Betsy, Judy and Josh. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Janet Frost, of Le Roy, NY.
Betsy grew up on her family’s farm (McPherson Orchards) across from the Oatka Creek in Le Roy, NY and was proud to tell everyone she met about growing up on the farm. After graduating from Michigan State, Betsy taught elementary school in San Diego where she met her beloved husband, Henry before returning to the east coast. Betsy worked at John Hancock for many years before leaving when her son was born and spent many years as a real estate agent in Medfield, MA.
Betsy was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time gardening and caring for the yard at her home. She also was an active tennis player, participating in several tennis leagues each year. She would read the newspaper cover to cover every day, usually starting with the sports section (loved following the Red Sox and Patriots). She enjoyed traveling to locations far and wide with family and friends and took many cruises throughout Europe and the Caribbean. She was fond of spending time with her friends and family, especially over a good meal. She was always happy to return to the family farm and visit her hometown.

Wayne A. Scott - April 27, 1935 - July 14, 2023

Obituary Preview: The family of Wayne Adair Scott born on April 27, 1935 in Batavia, NY are sad to announce his passing on July 14, 2023 in Butler, Pennsylvania at the age of 88. Wayne was one of 7 children to Yale Scott and Lurene Ridd. He grew up in upstate NY and graduated from York Central High School in 1953.
He enlisted in the Air Force with his best friend, Larry Chichester right after high school. He was stationed at Burtonwood AFB in England where he met Doris Clutton. They married June 22, 1957. He later served back to back stations in Vietnam and Korea. He was later stationed at many bases in the United States. He served our country for 20 years and retired in 1974 at the rank of Master Sargent. Soon after he and his wife and daughter spent 10 years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he worked for Lockheed then another 10 years with McDonnell Douglas in Taif,Saudi Arabia. Wayne and his wife retired in Melbourne, Florida and moved to Butler, Pennsylvania 7 years ago to live with his daughter and her family.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Scott who were married 66 years, his son Steve Scott and daughter-in-law, Penney Scott, his daughter Dawn Marie Scott-Steinmetz and his son in law, Rich Steinmetz. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Angel, Faith and Gabriel Steinmetz. Four of his siblings are pre-deceased, Bruce Scott, Arlene Ezzell, David Scott and Mary McIntyre. He is survived by his other two siblings Diane Freeman of LeRoy and Douglas Scott of Perry.
His Funeral Service will be held at Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St., LeRoy on Friday July, 21, 2023 at noon. He will be buried in East Koy cemetery with full military honors. Flower arrangements are gladly welcome and we welcome any and all friends and family of Wayne to the funeral and burial. The wake will be at the VFW 5009, 20 Washington Blvd., Perry, NY 14530 at 2pm that day. We would like to graciously thank Cameron Brady Funeral Home for getting us through this tough time.

Patricia enjoyed helping others, especially the elderly. She believed that family was very important and was the worlds best Mom.

Angela was born in Scotland on March 15, 1945 to Charles and Rosemary Young just ahead of her twin sister, Wendy. Angela will be missed by her son Michael Milburn, his wife Patti (nee Moser) and their children: Mike, Carlyn, Kyle and Cory; her daughter Christine Gephart, her husband Jeff and their children Alexander, Ava and Addison; her son Andrew; and her daughter in law Jennifer Milburn (nee Lloyd) and her children Shelby, Samantha, and Christopher. Angela is also survived by her siblings Paul (Penny) Young, Wendy Bisson, Stephen Young, Simon (Mary) Young and Belinda Durnin, her sister-in-law Donna (Morris) Mummery, her brother-in-law Gary (Carla) Milburn as well as many nieces and nephews.
Angela is predeceased by her husband Clair, son David, sister Melanie, sisters-in-law Frances and Brigitte, brother-in-law Roger.
Angela was raised in England until the age of 12, when her family moved to Canada and then they immigrated to the United States at the age of 17. She was one of 7 children. In 1968 she married Clair Milburn and over the course of the next 9 years had four children: Clair Michael, Christine Angela, Andrew Charles and David Christopher. Clair and Angie lived in Lima where they spent their time raising their children, helping their community and operating the Milburn’s Big M, where she was the Office Manager. She was a member of the Volunteer Ambulance and the Lima Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Angie and Clair enjoyed traveling together with annual road trips to Maine to be with family and Big M owner trips to amazing destinations. Together they enjoyed hosting family reunions, spontaneous pool parties with neighbors and company picnics, which all have been fondly remembered by her children as well as many young people. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports (especially baseball), her morning coffee and chats with friends in Lima, and any time spent with family. Her most proud accomplishments after raising her children were becoming a Nana and a United States citizen. Her sense of humor, sarcasm and sweet English accent will surely be missed by many.
Family and friends are invited to come celebrate her life on Sunday, May 21st from 2-5 pm at Cameron-Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, located at 111 Wolcott St, LeRoy NY. There will be a private burial ceremony at a later date.

She leaves behind her daughter Autumn Nora Bloch and ten nieces and nephews. Patti was preceded in death by her Mother, Patricia M Brady (1968), and Father, Louis P Brady, Jr. (1983) and her brother Michael (2021).
Patti was born and raised in LeRoy, NY. She lived various places however made LeRoy her home most of her adult life. Early in her working career she was an LPN and worked in the ER at Monroe Community Hospital. Patti was a lover of life and a very gregarious lady. She made many special friends in her life, to include her Church family at the Living Waters in LeRoy. To know Patti was to love her. She certainly will be missed.

Graduating from York Central High School in 1981, Elise married and began raising two sons before beginning her career in patient care as a nurse’s aide at Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in 1990. During this time, she pursued higher education at Genesee Community College in 2003 where she earned her Associates Degree in General Studies. Elise retired after 22 years of service to the health care field. She then spent time with family and returned to the health care field to care for elderly and disabled individuals in their homes with Tender Loving Family Care until July 2021. It was at this time Elise waged her courageous battle with cancer and moved to Buffalo under the care of Roswell Park.
She was raised in Mt. Morris, and Leicester, NY by her parents Robert and Bedette Westacott (Wennberg) who predeceased her. She is survived by her stepmother, Virginia P. Westacott. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel Prevost and her aunt Dorothy Rowson (Gary) of Salina, KS, uncle Jack Wennberg of Sebring, Fla, and sister-in-law Cynthia Prevost of Leicester, NY. She is survived by her aunt Jo Dickenson of Leicester, NY, sisters Eva L. Westacott Harris (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN and Elaine K. Rosina (Joseph) of Tonawanda, and stepbrother Mark S. Morrill (Krista) of Holley; sister-in-law Lisa Wasson (Dean LoBrutto) of Mumford, brother-in-law David Prevost (Barbara Weckworth) of Leicester, Dirk Prevost of Leicester; children Dennis C. Prevost (Julie) of Leicester, Devin C. Prevost (Tiffany) of Orchard Park; grandchildren Lorelei M. Prevost, Theodore F. Prevost, Lucas D. Prevost; cousins Bambi Rowson, Jennifer Lubanski (Mark), Jodi Wennberg, Jamie McLain (Brian); niece Danielle E. Rosina, nephew Michael R. Rosina and nephew Jacob Crocker.
The family would like Elise to be remembered for her devotion to her faith congregation at Faith Community Church of WNY and to the individuals she cared for both at the nursing home and in her community, which she cared for with kindness, compassion, and diligence of spirit, following her moral compass. The times spent with family were the most important times to her. She will be missed by family and friends and remembered for her quick wit, many talents, beautiful smile, and for remembering every occasion with a greeting card or note.
She was a talented gardener and created beautiful, themed gardens all around her home. She demonstrated her creativity in cooking (bread/roll maker supreme), sewing, crafting, and quilting and giving those items as gifts to family and friends. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle expert, and a formidable Scrabble player. She loved traveling and was always up for an adventure - near or far.
Survived by her companion of more than 40 years, Steven H. Spencer; her children, Lorrie (Robert) Clark-Hannan of Falls Church, Virginia, Guy (Patricia) Clark of Pavilion and, Rhett (Lisa) Clark Caledonia.
Grandchildren Calder Hannan, Emma Hannan (Aditya Rajput), Caylin (Steve) Depuy, Adam Clark, Connor (fiancée Becca Sarge) Clark, Danielle (John) Whiting, Quentin (Colleen) Clark, and Olivia (Dan) Otto and 6 great grandchildren.
Also surviving her: sister Alice Stefani, brother Larry (Donna) Loomis, sister-in-laws Martha Loomis, VIrginia Smith, Joan Clark, brothers-in-law, Bill (Peggy) Clark, Scott (Madeline) Clark, and Steve’s children, Steve D.(Sue) Spencer, Sue (Roger) Gray, and Robin Spencer, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Gaspard and Celia Loomis, brothers, Harry and Allen Loomis.

Janine F. Torcello, age 69, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening Oct. 15th, 2022 at Strong Memorial Hospital. Janine was born Oct. 9, 1953 the only child of Kenneth and Dorothy Werner in LeRoy, New York.
Janine was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband John F. Torcello. She is survived by her daughter Brooke Tubbins (Deson) grandson Deson (DJ), granddaughter Ayla, and extended grandchildren Sariyah, Ayvianna, Maliyah, and Jalen, special friends Gayle Young, Maggie O’Brien, Anne Nenni, Dorothy, and Steve Reamer.
Janine was a 1971 graduate of LeRoy Central HS where she was active in the pep club, AFS, the GAA, Model UN, the Honor Society, the Quill and Scroll, the school newspaper (the Red & Black), the mixed chorus (the Oatkanaires), and the school yearbook (the O-At-Kan) where she was sports editor her senior year. She was an avid bowler, a member of the girls HS Bowling Team, a score keeper for the wrestling teams and track teams. Janine was a quiet and shy person who did not like to be on stage but was very active backstage with the wardrobe and make-up crews. Janine graduated with honors with a Regents diploma and Regents scholarship. She attended SUNY Brockport where she studied journalism, library science, and English, graduating in 1975 with a BA in English.
After college Janine worked at Sylvania until its closing and then as a Buyer/Purchasing Agent at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for several years. Janine suffered a life threatening brain injury in her later years which required month’s long physical therapy where she had to relearn how to speak, write, and walk eventually requiring her to leave the workforce earlier than expected. Janine loved the Bills and the Sabers, her soap operas, reading romance novels and People Magazine, never without a cup of coffee. She loved everything Pumpkin, coffee, muffins, pie, etc.. She loved to go to the Windmill in Penn Yan with her friends and the Fall Arts Festival at Letchworth State Park. She loved her grandchildren and would babysit often and when days were frustrating you would always hear her shout, “Calgon, Take Me Away”.
Friends may all Monday, October 24, 2022 from noon-2:00 P.M. with her Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St., LeRoy. Following her service there will be a reception at the LeRoy Country Club.

She traveled extensively with her husband Bill and was a talented seamstress, knitter and an avid reader. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 64 years William T. Lane, five brothers and one sister, and her daughter in law, Gretchen Lane. She is survived by her five children, the Rt Reverend Stephen T.
