Joyce A. Graziano - January 08, 1943 - April 18, 2024

Departed: 04/18/2024 (Waterville)
Obituary Preview: Joyce A. Graziano, 81, of Frankfort, passed away on April 18th, 2024 with her family by her side. Joyce was born January 8th, 1943 in Bridgewater, NY to the late Elgene A. Snow and Mary E. (Randall) Snow. She grew up in Waterville, NY and attended Waterville schools. During her adulthood, Joyce resided in Frankfort, NY. She retired from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in 2005, after 30 years of state service.Fond memories that I have of my Aunt Joyce while growing up were sunbathing in the back yard together (Slathering on the oil in order to get that deep tan!), Playing BINGO at a church in Utica (Mega bingo cards, all Amercian smoke out & old lady’s ready to kill each other), Shopping at the Charlestown Mall (Everytime we would take the creaking elevator, I would look at my Aunt & prayed that we made it out of there alive!), Refinishing her secretary desk with these huge gloves on, Picking blackberries along with Gramma Mary (Joyce’s mom), Cooking the Italian way (I would say “I am not hungry” when I saw her pull a duck out of the oven or tripe out of the pot! She loved her long hots! She showed me how to make goulash (She wanted me to go check on it while it was cooking & the top suctioned to the pot from the heat (AT THAT POINT, FEAR CAME TO MIND!). She made a delicious peach cobbler that I enjoyed very much & I continued to make it at home. Her favorite things & sayings while staying with us recently for her end of life care were Chocolate, Ice cream, Diet Coke, General Hospital, Law & Order, our cats Hope & Luna, & we found out that she was NOT a TRUMP supporter! “Beautiful” & “And don’t you forget it” were her favorite sayings! She called me “My Donna Girl". Her sister Jean and her were the Golden Girls! She found comfort in our family setting after all her absent years. She no longer had any worries and was once again surrounded by love. I would not of had it any other way under the circumstances. She looked forward to seeing the twins Lea & Landon, and Nichole on a daily basis! She would always laugh at their shenanigans. Unfortunately, due to her medical condition, I could not bring her back home after the many pleas by Joyce to do so, it broke my heart & hers.In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her sister, Jean Frink (March 19, 2024), her brother, Clinton (Pete) Snow (December 7, 2016), & her nephew Brian Frink (June 26, 1991).Per Joyce’s request, no services will be rendered. Her ashes will be scattered by her niece, Donna Rockwell.Due to Joyce’s passion for animals, please consider making a donation in her honor to your local Humane Society. You have had a long hard road Aunt Joyce, may you now rest in peace my love.We love you!
