She graduated from Berlin High School in 1953 and had been employed as a cook at the Milan Village School. She had been employed by Converse Rubber Company for 16 years. Greta was a long-standing member of the Milan United Methodist Church and was Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge. She loved to cook, garden and sew.

Family includes her husband of nearly 69 years, Willard Turner of Milan, NH; daughters Cynthia Chorette and husband Gailen of Berlin, NH and Donna Roy; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters Barbara Legassie of Berlin, NH and Florence Lowe of Goffstown, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Florence Lowe and her son-in-law Denis Roy.

She was raised by her mother and step-father, Rita (Lapointe Dale) & Lionel "Lee" Collins, and her father, George Dale. Vickie graduated from Berlin High School. Vickie resided in Berlin then Errol for the majority of her life before moving to Florida in 2017, returning to the area three years later to be closer with her family. Those who love Vickie know she loved to socialize and made new friends wherever she may go - whether that be in a waiting room or on vacation. She was a generous woman who enjoyed spending time with her family, mostly her nieces and nephews, and any other kid that came into her life. Many people's memories with her were made while spending time in a pool or at the beach, playing games and making puzzles, all of those included her singing and dancing.

Her memory will live on through her family and close friends, including her siblings Judy Arsenault and Roland of Milan, NH, Lori Fortin and William of Gorham, NH and Gary Dale of Milan, NH; four nieces, two nephews, and three great nieces. Close friends who have loved her unconditionally include Karen, Denis, Kelly, and Remy.

Family includes his sons Gerard Lavertue of Milan, NH and Wayne Lavertue of Berlin, NH; a daughter-in-law Margo Lavertue; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his longtime companion, Arlene Lelland; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Lois (Laforce) Lavertue, and his infant son Raymond Jr.

Obituary Preview: Mr. Wilfrid Clement “Willie” Hebert, 83, of W. Milan, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 12, 2023. He was born on August 8, 1940 in Windsor, Quebec, Canada the 13th child of the late George & Eva Hebert and worked for several local businesses before moving to Berlin in his late 20's. Throughout his life he worked as a Master Electrician for various employers including Brown Company and White Mountain Lumber before retiring in 2003. He was a talented musician and singer, playing in several bands in Canada, Berlin and Florida, including 'Suspicious Minds' and 'Harbor Lights' and enjoyed getting together with his relatives the Riendeaus as well as other friends to play music. He was a Certified Fender Technician for Catello's Music Store for several years. In his younger years he played hockey and rode motorcycles. For many years they spent winters in Florida and spending time at Old Orchard Beach camping. In Florida he spent a great amount of time helping friends and neighbors troubleshooting and repairing their electric problems, much of which he did for free. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud of.

Members of his family include his wife of 63 years Denise Hebert of W. Milan; his children: Jocelyn Hebert and wife Kendra of Loudon, NH, Sylvie Whitcomb and husband Jonathan of Lee, NH, Nathalie Merrick and husband Paul of Gig Harbor, WA; a daughter-in-law Denise Hebert of Milan; grandchildren: Marissa, Chantal, Judy, Craig, Nicholas, Kristin, Nathan, Karra, Matthew, Carolyn and Jacob; great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Ella and Harper; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Luc Hebert, a great-grandson Samuel Hebert, as well as his 12 siblings.

She was born on November 10, 1926 the daughter of the late George and Mary Jane (Doyl) Filteau and was a lifelong resident. Doris devoted her life to caring for her family. Once her children were grown, she accepted a position in the fabric department of Rich's to complement her passion for sewing. Following the closing of Rich's, she obtained a position as an aide in the activities department at Coos County Nursing Home, a career she truly enjoyed.

Her many pastimes throughout her life included ice skating and skiing, ballroom dancing, sewing and quilting, knitting, and caring for her numerous pets. While she enjoyed these hobbies, her true passion was caring for her family; she was never happier than when she had a baby in her arms.

Family includes her children Stephen Alimandi, Vicki Neville, Judi Connolly, Heidi Gray, Bonni (Jesse) Tennis, and Terri Hayes; 7 grandchildren Mari Jo (Neville) Clark, Tim Neville, Audrey Connolly, Jimmy Gray, David Gray, Emily (Tennis) Tsoules, and Kathryn Hayes; 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Obituary Preview: Susan L. Astle, 73, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after several years battling heart disease and illness. She was born in Lancaster, NH, on December 26, 1949, the daughter of Edgar and Marian (Teare) Astle, and had attended Groveton schools and was a member of the Groveton High School Class of 1967. Susie later attended Franklin Pierce Business College in Concord, NH. Growing up she attended Groveton United Methodist Church before converting to Catholicism as an adult. She was an active communicant of Good Shepherd Parish, having been active in numerous church activities until her illness.

Susie was a lifelong resident of the North Country. As a young girl, she had three great joys: going to "Camp 14 1/2" on Little Bog Pond, where she enjoyed the camp food, cards, and board games around the family table; her German Shepherd, Jennie; and her two horses, which she rode on the many local trails, boarding them at the Dean and Zora Miles farm in Stark. As a young adult, Susie maintained her love of dogs and horses at her home on the Kelley farm. She started her career at the Groveton Paper Mill prior to transferring to the Woodlands department at James River Co. in Berlin, where she resided for over 40 years. After the closure of the mill, she went to work in the offices at White Mountain Lumber. Upon her retirement, Susie enjoyed going to lunch with her friends and family and was an avid reader of mystery novels. She will be fondly remembered as a kind and generous person.

She is survived by her aunt, Carolyn Astle of Connecticut; her sister-in-law Regina Astle of Vermont; as well as several cousins and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother William, and several aunts and uncles.

Marie was born in Berlin, NH, on July 13, 1959, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Lorraine (Perreault) Morin. A devoted mother and Memere to her grandchildren, she was also a dear sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Marie possessed the rare gift of bringing laughter to any situation and brightening the lives of all those fortunate enough to be in her company.

Marie's radiance extended beyond her family and friends; she was also beloved by her coworkers and customers at the Yokohama, where she worked for many years. Whether kayaking, skiing, or sailing, nature was her playground, especially when enjoyed with her 'Tuesday Funday Girls.' Her zest for life was as boundless as the landscapes she adored. Marie loved baking and sharing her baked goods with those around her.

Marie joins her late husband, Peter, who passed in 2015. She leaves behind her daughters, Heather and Ashley; son-in-law, Jeff Seuss; grandchildren, Lexi, Ayla, Parker; siblings Denise, Claudette, Pauline, Robert, Lucien, and Theresa; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by brothers Claude, Albert, and Leo.

Marie's passing leaves a void in the lives of her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to 'fly high' in the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and the gift of laughter. A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Friday, October 13th from 1-3pm with a service beginning at 3 pm at Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. She was predeceased by her father Lynn R. Roberts and a brother Michael.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1947 and had been employed in the offices at Brown Company for a number of years. Lorraine was an avid bowler and active member of the Berlin Seniors Bowling League, enjoyed reading, skiing and was a talented sewer, knitter and crocheter, especially in her younger years. Along with her husband Denis, they spent a lot of time at the family camp on Conway Lake with the entire extended family. She cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews and their families. She would always try to help people when and where she was able and was very generous and caring to her nieces and nephews over the years.

She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Dennis in 2000 and her siblings Lelly Dion, Lillian Boulanger and Linette Howe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 1pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Bryant & Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, prior to the Mass. Upon retiring, he and Lucy took several trips to Hawaii, thus the often seen “blue Hawaii shirt”; he also became an avid cross-country skier during this time. Herb loved spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren. The 30+ summers spent at Nay Pond with family, as well as the holidays, were his most special moments.

Family includes his sons Daniel Brigham of Berlin, NH and Steven Brigham and wife Loreen of Derry, NH; daughter-in-law Jean Brigham of Shirley, MA; grandchildren Jordan, Mark, Matt, Nathan, Carlie and Ashley; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
