Obituary Preview: Sally Kathryn Kinchen Dugger was born on July 27, 1939, in Cairo, Georgia to the late Hiram and Pearl Kinchen. Kathryn was the youngest of three girls, Martha Kinchen Lovett and the late Brunell Kinchen Tyus.
Kathryn passed away peacefully on March 24, Palm Sunday, at Bayview Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Kathryn leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Cecil Dugger, and two daughters, Karen Dugger and Marsha Johns (Jerry). She is also fondly remembered by many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Kathryn was a devoted, loving wife and mother who was deeply loved in return. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Savior, and her life was a testimony of her faith.
Kathryn’s hobbies included playing the piano, enjoying nature, flowers and birdwatching, spending time with family and friends, participating in church activities and creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her smile could brighten any room. Her sweet spirit and sense of humor were appreciated by all who knew her.
Kathryn was well loved and cared for by her family and, in her final year of life, by the wonderful staff at Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta, Georgia.
A service will be held at First Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday, April 5, 2024.Visitation will begin at 2 pm followed by a memorial service at 3 pm.

Florence was born on March 12, 1943, in Brunswick, to Tully Clyde Dozier, Sr and Idella Inez Harrison Dozier. She graduated from Glynn Academy in 1961, and was a long time employee of OSG Tap and Die. Florence was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Walter Bladen, as well as her parents and seven siblings: Wildon Dozier, Idella Newham, Evelyn Willoughby, Tully Clyde Dozier, Jr. , Harold Dozier, James Dozier, and Myrtle Brigmond.
She is survived by her daughters, Shanna Ford (Joel) of Brunswick, and Susan Hortman (Josh) of Lizella and five grandchildren: Lasairyn and Gareth Ireland, Walker, Wyatt, and Isla Hortman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. James Crandall officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

Sharon graduated from Brunswick High School and later pursued a degree in nursing. She retired from SeaPak, where she worked as a microbiologist, and spent some time working for King’s Square Academy as well.
A member of Saint Francis Catholic Church, Sharon is remembered for her love of animals and the joy she found in camping, hiking, and the outdoors. It became a tradition between herself and her loving husband, Larry, to visit local Monster Truck shows, something she always found herself looking forward to.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Richard Orr and Inez Melluish; her step-father, Hank Melluish; her sister, Patricia Daughtry; and a niece, Karissa Wetzel.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Martin; nieces, Angela Nabb, Chihara Johnson, Jillana McLoon, Melissa Porch; her beloved pet and companion, Penny; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Steven McNichols, Jimmy Pitts, Jerry Jerocki, Matthew Wells, Leslie Jacobs, Robert Brasington, and Tony Albenzie will serve as pallbearers, while Chris Brasington, Trevor Banks, Chris Jackson, Christy Lewis, Frank Ferra, George Ferra, Paul Ferra, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1839 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 6:00 PM, with a funeral mass to be held at Saint Francis Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Walter Franklin Stevens - September 14, 1938 - March 06, 2024

Obituary Preview: Frank was born on September 14, 1938, in Washington, D.C. to Walter Weymouth Stevens of Warrenton, VA. and Mrs. L. Frances Stevens of Culpeper, VA. Frank grew up in Arlington, VA and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1956. After high school & college, Frank accepted a position with the United States Park Police. In 1960 Frank married Phyllis “Velma” Sevens. They welcomed three children, Elizabeth “Lisa,” Walter Franklin “Frankie,” and Catherine “Cathy.”
Frank was a park police law enforcement officer in the Washington, D.C. area for more than 20 years. In 1976, Frank and his family moved to Brunswick, GA after he accepted a position with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco. While employed at FLETC, Frank earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in 1979. Frank was a legal division instructor teaching at FLETC until his well-earned retirement in 1999.
Frank served as a past president of the Shrine Club of Brunswick. He also a member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Later he became a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing, hunting, lawncare and the Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars. Frank and Velma were avid square dancers and bridge players for many years and enjoyed cruising with their friends and family.
Frank was preceded in death by his son, Frank II; his daughter, Lisa; his parents, Walter and Frances Stevens; and his brother, Russell Stevens.
He is survived by his wife, Velma; his daughter, Cathy Varnedoe; grandchildren, Amanda, Ben, Brad, and Shelby; as well as 10 great-grandchildren and many cousins.
