Michael was born on August 3, 1944 in Troy , NY to Donald (Bud) and Edith (Mahoney) Whalen. Michael grew up In Lansingburgh where he spent his youth, playing sports at his beloved Lansingburgh Boy’s Club. Michael was a Four sport lettermen at Lansingburgh High School where he graduated in 1962. He married the former Maureen C.Henley
on April 30,1966 in St. Peter’s Church Troy , NY. Michael was a proud American who served his country from 1965-1972 with the NY State Army National Guard . Michael began a highly successful 44 yr. banking career in 1962 at Union National Bank in Troy, NY, he moved on to Chemical Bank in Greenwich, NY in
1976 . His final stop was Key Bank in 1983 moving to Plattsburgh , NY. He retired in 2006 as a Sr. Vice President . Michael believed in giving back t his community, he was a long time member of CVPH hospital board, Treasurer and board member ARC, Co-Founder Evergreen Townhouse Community
in Plattsburgh. Chairman of Parc board of directors. He was named volunteer of the year by Clinton County Chamber of Commerce. He was a long time volunteer for United Way and was Awarded Business Person of the year by the United Way. Mike loved sports , he was a former member of Bluff Point Golf Club. He was proud of his hole in one , a feat matched by his son Matt and grandson Ryan . He was a lifelong NY Yankee fan, Fall was spent watching Notre Dame football and his Washington Redskins. Winter was hockey season , he was a avid Montreal Canadiens fan . His greatest joys came from watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports . He was their biggest supporter even
after illness made attending difficult. Michael is survived by his wife of 57 years Maureen , his son Matthew J Whalen, Daughter Jennifer A Wood (Ronald). Michael was a special Bompa to his five Grandchildren. Ryan M. (Emilie) Wood,

Bushey, Jr.(Big Joe), 63, of South Platt Street, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2023, at UNVHN: CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family surrounding him. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 6, 1960, the son of Joseph and Marie (Mae) Bushey, Sr.
Joe attended Beekman Town High School as an adolescent. After high school, Joe joined the workforce as a skilled carpenter. He was employed for many years for Sheralt Homes and Dukette Brothers' construction. Joe played an active role in Plattsburgh City Little League as a coach to several teams and his children. Joe was an avid Kanas City Chiefs fan and never missed a game! But more than anything, Joe loved his family and children. Joe worked hard all his life to provide for his family. When not at work, he made many memories with them, such as backyard volleyball, trips to the beach, family BBQs every weekend, horseshoes, and attending any events in the community.
He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph W Bushey and Marie Goddard, a sister Betty LaSalle and grandson, Caleb Bushey.
Joseph is survived by his children, Joseph Bushey III and his companion Renee Lashway, Cortney Bullock, and her husband Kris and Chantel Bushey. Also, eight grandchildren; Hunter, Desirae, Ashtyn, Sawyer, Kalli, Kayla, Onaleigh, and Kelsey, a great-grandson; Jaxxon, his ex-wife Mary Stowe; his siblings, Richard Bushey, Charles Goddard, and Lyn Ducharme, Brian Guimond brother-in-law, nieces Dainyel, BettyJo, Florence, Cheryl, Yolanda and a nephew's Charlie, Joseph, Rick, Scott, Anthony several other families members and friends. Joe also leaves behind his beloved cat Dumas.

She graduated from Peru High School and worked at Brushtech Inc. where she had been employed 30 year there this year.
Holly loved her family and friends, kids and grandkids. She loved to shoot archery and enjoyed hunting bear and deer. She enjoyed her dogs and horses, going to camp and having family and friends together for cookouts and making memories. Those who predeceased her were her father James Warren St.John, mother Janet Catherine St. John, and her brother Jeff St.John
She is survived by her husband David Frederick, her daughters Amanda Codding and husband Thomas Codding, April Stevenson and husband Aron Stevenson and Janet Frederick and fiance Todd Ebersole. Her grandkids,Thomas Codding Jr. And wife Rainee Codding, Mike Codding and wife Bry Codding, Logan Stevenson, Kylee Goddeau, David Frederick, Zane Stevenson and Trent Goddeau. At the time of her death, Katrina was completing her premedical preparation at Plattsburgh State University and looking forward to pursuing her medical degree. As brilliant as she was beautiful, Katrina’s kindness and generosity of spirit touched all who were lucky enough to know her. She always had time to lend a helping hand. Her heart beat to the rhythm of her vibrant circle of friends and extended families.
She is survived by her father Gill Bouchard of Beekmantown, mother and step-father, Cynthya and Robert Spencer of Plattsburgh, and her siblings, Nathan (Kristen) Snow and niece Isla, twin Steven Bouchard, and Gizella Spencer. She also leaves behind her loving grandparents, Louise Laplante of Champlain, Emmy Bodrogi and Frank Kerisztesi of Plattsburgh, and Dave and Rosemary Spencer of Altoona, Florida.
She will be deeply missed by her aunts and uncles, Dominic and Suzanne Bouchard, Martin and Eliana Bouchard, Karen Bouchard, Emmy Hackett and Armando Pastrana Jr., Anita Bodrogi and Glenn Lyons, Paul and Donella Spencer, Steve Spencer, Anne Spencer and Rick Lablanc, and Cathy and John Tecco.
Her passing will always be felt by her cousins, Sebastian Bouchard, Andrew Bouchard, Zachary Bouchard, Joshua Bouchard, Josiah Bouchard, Sierra Bouchard, Brennan Hackett, Alina Hackett, Chris Pastrana, Mason Pastrana, John Lyons, John Spencer, Ashley Spencer, Nicholas Tecco, Holly Tecco, David Spencer, Jordan Spencer, William Chaussee, Gabrielle Chaussee Pelkey, and nephew Cal Farrell. She also leaves behind her companion Nick Brooks and dog Hank.
Calling hours are Friday August 11th, 4-7pm at Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, NY and a celebration of Katrina’s life will be held Saturday August 12th at 2:00 pm at the Strand Center for the Performing Arts, 23 Brinkerhoff Street in Plattsburgh where there will be an opportunity for attendees to share remembrances. Obituary Preview: On Friday, July 28th, the world lost one of its brightest stars. David J. Heikkila broke his earthly bonds to begin his journey to heaven. David was born December 1, 1962 in Plattsburgh, NY to parents Iola (Sue) and Arvo (Hike) Heikkila.
David was an avid fan of old tv programs all from a simpler time including Happy Days, Mash, Batman, Star Wars, Andy Griffith and others. His knowledge of these programs was immense and he loved sharing facts and tidbits about characters and history of those shows. He loved most all of the characters but the Fonze from Happy Days was by far his favorite.
David was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Harley Facteau, and sister Bonnie De Carlo.
He is survived by his Aunt Peggy Parsons, Uncle Richard Smith of Larue, Tx., Aunt Irene La Bare of Bithlo Fl., his brother Ricky Facteau and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
David passed following a long illness surrounded by family and his good friends and caretakers from ARC who continuously went above and beyond to provide David the best quality of life possible. Each shared their care, time and love in more ways than can be mentioned. Special thanks to Haydin ('Meathead'), Sanna, Joe, Keith, Michelle, Diane "Grandma", Laurie and the many other staff members that cared for David during his time in the ARC group homes. This little man will be greatly missed by all he touched. A big 'Eyyye!' from the Fonze.

Michael T. Douglas - June 09, 1981 - July 20, 2023

Obituary Preview: Douglas, Michael Thomas, Mike "The Dogg" Douglas, born and raised in Dannemora, passed away unexpectedly on July 20th, 2023, at the age of 42.
Mike was an energetic and passionate United States Army Veteran and father who found peace on a wrestling mat and spending weekends fishing and boating on Chazy Lake with his family. Mike is survived by his wife, Stacie Douglas; children, Sean, Cadyann, Brandon, Tommy "Bumblebee" Douglas, and his stepson, Anthony J. Brady. Son of Tom and Barbara (King) Douglas, Mike also leaves behind his sister, Lauren (Karl) Lyon and many loving uncles and aunts; notably Tom (Linda King) of Amsterdam and Willie (Sheri) King of Plattsburgh; "Uncle Monkey" also left behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mike is predeceased by his cousins (Gary, Amy, Allie, Abby and Mary) and his aunts, uncles and grandparents. His family finds comfort in knowing they will be reunited in paradise and his soul is now at peace.
In addition to the passions mentioned above, Mike also owned his construction company, X-treme Construction, and enjoyed working and remodeling houses to give people their dream homes. Mike was involved with various philanthropic efforts, including a project in which he rehabilitated homes for disabled and/or homeless Veterans.
A memorial service for Michael will be held at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205 on Saturday, July 29th, from 1 to 3 p.m., concluding with final words of prayer by Pastor Kaitlyn Wood, United Church of Cohoes. The family will hold a celebration of life following the service for anyone who wishes to attend. Details will be provided at the service.
Calling hours will again be held, August 3, 2023 from 3:00-6:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Funeral Services will follow in the funeral home chapel.
Due to his avid support for his fellow veterans, in lieu of flowers, Mike's family is asking for donations to the Malta Veteran Appreciation Program (maltavets.com), Homeward Bound (homewardboundadirondacks.org), or the Saranac Athletic Booster, 60 Picketts Corners Rd., Saranac, NY 12981.
Finally, for the exceptional level of care and respect shown to Mike, his family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Lyon Mountain EMS and the Village of Colonie, Jason Redmond from Homeward Bound, and the many friends that helped and supported Mike during his long fought battles.

Ann Jane Garrant - February 02, 1941 - July 18, 2023

Obituary Preview: Ann J. Garrant, 82, of West Chazy, sadly passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center.
She was a wonderful mother to us and all the strays that wound up on her door step. She had an amazing sense of humor and concern for others. She will be forever remembered and greatly missed by all she touched.
She was born in Plattsburgh on February 2, 1941, the daughter of Abraham and Dorothy (Myatt) Brean. She was one of 13 children.
She started her career working at Shield's Farm, The Ribbon Factory, Built Rite Furniture, sold Avon, worked for family at Brean and Deno's Store, and finally at the Country Corner Diner, side by side with her daughter Shelly.
She attended Chazy Central Rural School and later achieved her GED. Ann retired in 2011 then returned home to West Chazy to be close to family.
She married the love of her life on April 18, 1959 and raised 6 children. She was a member of the West Chazy Fire department Womans Auxillary for many years. She loved the casino, camping, being outdoors, music, cooking, singing, and all her precious collections, NASCAR, baseball cards, Avon, Beanie Babies, coins,
She had many hobbies throughout her lifetime. She mostly enjoyed riding motorcycle, making her famous cakes, doing leatherwork, square dancing, knitting, crochet, and was a master at every one of them. Most of all, she loved to spend time with family and friends.
Through the years of her illness, she had some very special people that cared for her known as Angel. Couldn't have done it without you by my side.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Earl Garrant, her children; James (Kathy) Garrant, Michael (Jan) Garrant, Shelly (Neal) LaVigne, Laurie Faubert, Tammy (John) Deno, Kimberly (Linda0 Garrant, her siblings; Carolyn Deno, Charles (Georgia) Brean, Fred (Judy) Brean, John (Marsha) Brean, Rudy Brean, Mary (Wayne) BUlriss) Sherry Parrotte, and her 13 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Abraham and Dorothy (Myatt) Brean, her siblings; Abraham Brean Jr, Judy Brean, Patrick Brean, Dorothy McAdam, Thelma Lapierre, and a son in law Billy Faubert.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Graveside services will follow in the parish cemetery. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at The Grange Hall at 9631 Route 22 in West Chazy.

Judy loved car shows and old cars. She had a lot of house plants and flowers in her yard. Judy worked many jobs, the last being commonwealth (curtain factory) in Willsboro, NY.
She loved spending time with her sidekick Riley Gadway, her great grandson.
She is predeceased by her son Jimmy Provost, daughter Cassandra Provost, brothers Earl Provost, Harry and his wife Brenda Provost.
She is survived by her sons Robert and wife Sarah LaWare Jr., Joshua and wife Susan Laware, daughter in law Becky Provost-McKee. Grand Daughter Sarah Laware. Grandsons Jesse Collins, Jimmy Provost Jr., Hunter Laware, Bryce Laware. Four bonus granddaughters Kayla Stoughton, Amber Garlock, Chesley Parrah, Alison Daust. Several great grandbabies.Brother Frank and wife Linda Provost, sister Loretta and husband Anthony Lovecchio, sister in law, Pearl Provost.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Victoria LaJoy, Sr., his first wife, Veronica (Macey) and second wife, Elizabeth (McBride), his sister, Patricia Girard, and his son, Thomas LaJoy.
Art is survived by his brother, Robert (Louise) LaJoy of Plattsburgh, his children: Sherry Long of Syracuse, Judy (Mark) Varno of Peru, two grandsons, Andrew and Alexander LaJoy, several nieces and nephews, stepchildren: Vern Lashway, Debbie (Larry) Carpenter, step grandchildren, Melissa Erickson and Ben Laundry, and step great grandson, Leo Erickson.
He retired from the City Police Dept as a Parking Meter Man, City Of Public Works, and he had his watch, clock, and diamond business in his home.
His favorite hobbies he enjoyed was camping, hunting, motorcycling, ski-dooing, and boating. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Art was loved, respected, and admired by all who knew him. We are filled with infinite love and gratitude for having him in our lives. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched and changed forever.

Calling hours will be held on Monday July 24, 2023 from 10:00 to 12:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Altona. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Holy Angels Church in Altona.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Paro) Anderson, his children and their spouses; Tina Burke, Brett Burke, Tanya and Ed Brandmeier , Bruce Burke, Wendy Anderson, Darin Anderson and Robin Anderson- Mollica , his siblings and their spouses; Allen Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Thuvia Hawver, Robert Anderson, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter Julie Anderson, a son Kenneth Anderson, and a brother Arnie Anderson.
