Born and raised in the small town of Coweta, Kelly was a woman of strong convictions and unwavering determination. She fearlessly spoke her mind, even when her opinions differed from those around her. Kelly's commitment to standing up for herself and her loved ones was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Kelly was a devoted mother to her daughter. Choosing to be a single mother, she displayed immense courage and resilience. Her kindness, gentleness, and understanding nature made her a remarkable mother who nurtured her daughter's growth while allowing her independence.
One of Kelly's greatest joys in life was being a grandmother. Her granddaughters affectionately called her Mimi, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Kelly's love for her family extended beyond her immediate circle, as she took pride in her nieces and nephew, playing an instrumental role in shaping their lives.
Kelly is survived by her daughter, Miranda Hampton and her husband Chad of Broken Arrow, OK; her grandchildren, Rory Wilson and Saber Hampton; her brother, Gary Million of Broken Arrow, OK; her nieces, Robi Holmes, Rachelle Holmes, Devin Renshaw, Madison Snyder, and Dalynn Steelmon; her nephew, Caleb Duncan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents Loyd Jay and Darlene Wilson and her sister, Dana Snyder.
Kelly had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and was particularly passionate about science fiction literature. She immersed herself in the imaginative worlds of the genre, fueling her curiosity and expanding her understanding of the universe. Kelly's love for reading was only rivaled by her love for nature and travel. She found solace and inspiration in exploring the wonders of the natural world, creating unforgettable memories along the way.
Beyond her personal pursuits, Kelly was an activist and a fervent advocate for gender equality. She fought tirelessly for the rights of women, leaving an indelible mark on her community and inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
Kelly Wilson will be remembered as the "fun aunt" who brought joy and laughter to every family gathering. Her presence filled the room with warmth and her infectious spirit uplifted those around her. She paved the way for future generations, instilling in them the values of courage, compassion, and resilience.

She was born on February 6, 1976, in Tahlequah, OK to James William and Ruth Ella (Neal) King. Christi's vibrant spirit and joyous heart touched the lives of all who knew her.
Christi grew up in Haskell, OK, where she attended school and graduated from Haskell High School. Christi's career began as a dedicated pharmacy technician, and despite facing health challenges later in life, she continued to work in various capacities, demonstrating her resilience and determination.
Family was the cornerstone of Christi's life. She is survived by her loving daughters, Megan Davis and Julie Essary, both of Broken Arrow, OK; her stepdaughter, Evelyn Hargrove and her husband Michael of Haskell, OK; her stepson, Christopher Coker and his wife Nayesah of Haskell, OK; her brothers, David King and his wife Becky of Broken Arrow, OK and Daniel King of Haskell, OK; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Christi was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth King, and her sister, Cynthia (Hargrove) King.
Christi was a woman of many passions. She found solace and joy in the great outdoors, whether she was fishing, camping, or simply building a fire under the open sky. An avid reader, she also enjoyed the quiet moments of life, lost in the pages of a good book. Christi's love for sports was evident as she cheered on her favorite football and baseball teams, sharing these moments with friends and family.
Christi's life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the strength of perseverance, and the enduring power of love. Her laughter, her courage, and her unwavering spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Christi's journey through life was a beacon of light, guiding us all to live with kindness, passion, and an unrelenting zest for life.

She was born on March 3, 1967, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to parents Cecil Lee Collins and Clarice Margaret (Gerber) Collins. Growing up in Westville, Vickie was a proud graduate of Westville High School, class of 1985.
Vickie found particular joy in spending cherished moments with her grandchildren, a testament to her loving and nurturing spirit.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Hubbard, who passed in March of 2010. As well as her parents, Cecil, and Clarice Collins, her brothers, Lee Herman Collins, Eldon Dwayne Collins, Tommy Gene Collins, and William Dean Collins, and her sisters, Labecca Alice January and Debbie Joyce Collins.

John Winford "JW" Denton - May 13, 1935 - April 21, 2024

Obituary Preview: John Winford Denton, affectionately known as JW, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born on May 13, 1935, in Coweta, OK to Jack and Pearl Leona (Forbes) Denton.
A proud graduate of Coweta High School in 1953, JW furthered his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. His professional life was marked by a successful career as a project manager for Mashburn Enterprises, and later, he retired from Withco Construction. Additionally, JW was the owner of Denton Painting, where his work ethic and attention to detail were highly regarded.
JW's service to his country was a defining aspect of his life. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, enlisting on March 26, 1958, and receiving an honorable discharge on August 7, 1962. His patriotism and love for his country were evident in his commitment and service.
Beyond his professional and military accomplishments, JW was a man of many interests. He enjoyed the great outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or golfing. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like solving crossword puzzles and spending quality time with his grandchildren. JW's leadership and passion for community were exemplified by his role as president of the Round Up Club.
JW married the love of his life, Phyllis Evelyn Friend, on September 16, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Their enduring love and partnership were the cornerstone of their family, inspiring all who knew them.
JW was a true family man, deeply loved and respected by his relatives and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife of over six decades, Phyllis Denton, of their home in Coweta, OK; his two daughters, Kelly Stockman (Randall) of Coweta, OK and Lisa Denton of Coweta, OK; four grandchildren, Brandon Ullrich (Lacey), Dustin Ullrich (Sarah), Blake Denton (Nellie), and Bailee McDonald; and five great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Mia, Ace, Logan, and Lillian Ullrich. He also leaves behind his sister, Peggy Hogan of Coweta, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will cherish his memory.
JW was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Pearl Denton, and his brothers, Edward Eugene "PeeWee" Denton and Boyd "Squirt" Denton.
JW's warmth, integrity, and indomitable spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testament to the values of loyalty, hard work, and the importance of family, leaving a lasting impact that will be felt for generations to come.

He enjoyed watching OU Sooner Football. He appreciated getting outdoors and spending time hunting. John was a beloved father to his children Bridget Hazimeh, and her husband Adel, Devin Gafford, Laura Gafford, and Michael Gafford. Along with them he is survived by his brother Joseph Gafford and his adored grandchildren Dahlia, Melaina, Kaleb Hazimeh, Kamron, and Emory Ogden. He was preceded in death by his loving partner Linda Gafford, his parents, Junior and Lois Gafford, and sister Diane Burns. John will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were close to him.

He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and went on to run his own sod installation company named KJD Sod Farms, where he worked in every aspect of the sod industry. Andrew had a love for many hobbies and changed them frequently. His favorite things were fishing, pickleball, and anything to do with his son Kai.
He is survived by his wife, Yukari and son, Kai Dotson, his parents, Tim and Janet Dotson, his grandmothers, Judy Meehan and Martina Dotson, his siblings, David and Ariel Dotson, and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Buck Meehan and Big’n Dotson.
Andrew was always a happy person especially when it came to his son Kai and his wife Yukari. He was extremely active in Lifetime Fitness’ pickleball community. He was incredibly passionate about fishing and recently taught his son Kai how to fish as well. He loved his family, golfing, pickleball and frisbee golf. Andrew will be remembered as someone who could always make you laugh, negotiate any deal, and as a real smooth talker who was great with people.
Services celebrating Andrew’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. He will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

She was born on September 1, 1943, in Maplesville, Alabama, to John Lucas Ratliff and Myrtie Mae (Nichols) Ratliff. On August 3, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas, Marie married her beloved husband, John Gwinnup, beginning a beautiful journey of 60 years together. Their love story was one of a kind, truly love at first site meeting at the Lone Star Drive-In in June and married in August. Together they built a family rooted in love and togetherness. Marie is survived by her husband, John Gwinnup and their three daughters and their beautiful families, Angie and Sam Fisher of Broken Arrow, Ann and Kevin Dismang of Wagoner, and Jan and Travis Burr of Coweta. Her daughters were the apples of her eye, and she took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. Marie's pride and joy extended to her six grandchildren and their families, Vannessa and David Richey, Sean Fisher and Maddie Breedlove, Raegan Burr, Logan Burr, Zack Dismang, and Jake Dismang, whose lives she enriched with her unconditional love and devotion. The bond she shared with them, and the special moments spent shopping, watching sporting events, family vacations, and her joy looking through family pictures, will be treasured forever. Marie was a 1961 graduate of Maplesville High School and displayed a strong work ethic throughout her career. She contributed her talents in data entry to TV Guide, Bank of Oklahoma Mortgage, Getty, Texaco, and Montgomery Wards before retiring in 2002. Her commitment to her work was rivaled only by her dedication to her family and her passions. A woman of many interests, Marie enjoyed quilting, reading avidly, and even owned the quaint "Little House Book Store" in Coweta. She loved spending many days at the ball fields with the girls and spent delightful days accompanying John to car shows, a pastime they both enjoyed. Though her loss is profoundly felt, the legacy of Marie Gwinnup's nurturing spirit and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

He was born on October 24, 1934, in Bixby, Oklahoma, to parents Howard U. Brooks and Katie Jane (Price) Brooks. He married the love of his life, Betty Fay Brooks, on February 17, 1961, embarking on a union filled with joy and companionship that lasted for 60 beautiful years until Betty passed in 2021. Together, they raised a family, sowing the seeds of love and integrity in their children.
After bravely serving as a United States Army Veteran in Korea, Carl returned to Oklahoma, where he found both lifelong love and a fulfilling career. Carl’s devotion extended to his work as a machinist and tool and die maker, contributing his craftsmanship to Braden Winch and later Crane Carrier retiring after 26 years. Carl's strong, calloused hands found fulfillment and peace working on his farm, raising cattle and crops, nurturing the land he held dear. A man of faith and fellowship, Carl was a cherished member of the Lone Star Baptist Church community, where his gentle guidance and wise words left an indelible impact on those who knew him. Carl’s love of nature was evident in his enthusiasm for camping, fishing, and hunting. He relished his vacations and travels, especially to Branson, Missouri. He loved to road trip, watch the shows, and admire the scenery. He and Betty were known to disappear on daytrips together. Carl is lovingly remembered by his son, Darrell Brooks and wife Susie; daughter, Sonya Wolfe and husband Clifton; his cherished grandchildren, Chad Brooks, Stephanie Reid and husband Michael, Holly Riddle and husband Andy, Derek Wolfe and wife Rachel, Dustin Wolfe and girlfriend Krista Baze; and great-grandchildren, Anderson Riddle, Rhett Brooks, Winnie Riddle and Hadley Wolfe, who will carry on his legacy of adventure and kindness. Joining him in memory are his parents, beloved wife Betty, son James Brooks, sister Juanita Jones and brother Riley Gene Brooks. Carl’s departure leaves behind a void that can only be filled by the countless memories he created with those who are proud to have called him family.

She was born on July 8, 1948, in Mooreland, Oklahoma. Donna was a source of kindness and joy throughout her 75 years. Donna's life was anchored by her profound love for her family and the cherished moments she spent with them. She leaves behind a legacy of love with her devoted husband of 56 years, Earl Rodney Shook, whom she married on the 5th of August 1967, in Sharon, Oklahoma. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Sherry Catherine Pattee and her husband David, and son Rodney Brian Shook. She reveled in the joys of being a grandmother to grandchildren Trent David Pattee, Taylor Nicole Pattee, and Maddox Ryan Shook. Her siblings, Candy Wreath, Jerry Phillips, and Charlene Wheeler, along with her husband Chuck, will deeply miss her presence, guidance, and warmth. Preceding Donna in death were her parents, Charles Lockwood Phillips, and Tommie Jo (Harrison) Vaca, as well as her three sisters Lena Whitten, Sandra Cooper, and Marie Phillips. Their memory was held in her heart, as will her memory be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. A 1966 graduate of Sharon High School and an alumnus of Northwestern State University in Alva, Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree, Donna dedicated 35 years of her life to her vocation as an English and Literature Teacher at Woodward, El Reno and Durant Public Schools. She not only educated but inspired countless students, encouraging them to explore and embrace the beauty of language and story. Beyond the classroom, Donna was an active and devoted member of the Wagoner Assembly of God and also served at El Reno Assembly of God. Her passion for her faith was evident in her role as the women's director and her unwavering commitment to volunteering. Donna lived out her faith by lovingly helping others and serving her community. A lover of literature, Donna's own story was one of joy in reading and an unending pleasure in the company of her beloved grandkids. Donna Gail Shook's radiant legacy will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joyce Eileen Long - September 12, 1963 - April 13, 2024

Obituary Preview: Joyce Eileen (Horton) Long, age 60, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Joyce was born on September 12, 1963, to Fred and Evelyn Horton in Great Bend, KS. She was one of four children: Rodger, Vicki, and Brian. In her early school years, the family relocated from Shattuck, OK to Liberal, KS, where she was active in band, playing saxophone, and flag corps, which led to her marching in the 1981 Rose Bowl Parade. After graduating from Liberal High School, she attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
In 1988, Joyce met Darrel Long at Walmart. They were wed on June 10th, 1989, and went on to have two children: Rachel and Nathaniel.
Joyce was always happy and had a smile that would light up a room. She had an infectious joyful aura about her. She was a kind, gentle and caring soul. Her hobbies were watching OU football and crocheting, even if football season was over, she would watch reruns of her favorite OU vs. Nebraska games.
What brought Joyce the most joy were her children and granddaughter. She attended all of Nate's football and baseball games, where you would find her making as much noise as possible, cheering him and his team on. At all of Rachel's horse shows, she could be found helping with the grooming supplies and quick outfit changes until it was time to be in the stands sitting quietly until the placings were called. Watching her granddaughter grow made her happy, and she always said it was, "like watching a little Rachel".
Joyce was preceded in death by her father Fred Horton, mother Evelyn Barton, brother Brian Horton, and brother in-law Terry Hammond.

Obituary Preview: Howard Doyle Johnson, age 69, departed this life on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, after a tragic accident in Coweta, Oklahoma. He was born on February 26, 1955, in Odessa, Texas to parents Horace Thomas “HT” Johnson and Beverly Jean (Dozier) Johnson.  Howard's laughter will echo forever in the hearts of his beloved family. He leaves behind son, Jacoby Johnson and his wife Lauren and son, Chad Johnson; his cherished grandchildren, Maren and Tessa Johnson; and his brother, Jim Johnson. He will also be fondly remembered by his nephews, Keith, James, and Daniel Johnson. Howard was preceded in death by his loving parents, "HT" Johnson and Beverly Johnson, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms. A proud fireman and paramedic, Howard served the Odessa community with bravery and devotion. Beyond his service, he embarked on a successful entrepreneurial journey fulfilling a wide range of jobs from owning and operating the “Silver Dollar Café” on Fort Gibson Lake, to meter reading for the Rural Water District. He was not one to let challenges dampen his spirits; his sense of humor remained intact even when faced with legal blindness. His experimental cornea transplant was a testament to his indomitable will and zest for life. An eccentric character, Howard relished in his unique hobbies, including an affection for gardening with a particular fondness for elephant ears, and spending serene hours fishing. His love of reading transported him to worlds far and wide, bringing a depth to his wit and storytelling. Howard’s life was a cherished collection of "good moments." His legacy of laughter and joy will endure, inspiring all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with this remarkable man.

Obituary Preview: Orville Lee Mills was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on September 7, 1940, to Willie Elmer and Chloe Mills, and departed this life in Coweta, Oklahoma on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
Orville’s dad traveled a lot, roaming from state to state working on oil fields. On one of these travels, he met the love of his life, Paula Kay Todd. They corresponded through letters for years, until, in the last letter, he proposed to her. They were married on December 1, 1958. They had 2 daughters, Debra Kay, and Sherry Lee. Their love story lasted for 57 years until Kay passed away in November of 2015.
He was the most amazing and loving dad, husband, and papaw. He sacrificed so very much to provide a wonderful and rich life for each of them.
He worked as a painter for most of his life. He opened his own paint contracting business, “Traditional Decorators,” in 1984, with up to 25 employees at a time. With his talent and reputation on the jobs, and Kay running the business side in the office; they became a true, rags to riches story.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Paula Kay Mills; his parents, Willie Elmer and Chloe Mills; brothers, Billy Charles Mills, Clifford Ray Mills, and Phillip Stanley Mills; and brother-in-law and best friend, Ronald Todd.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Lee Mills, Debra Kay Younger and husband Andy Younger; grandchildren, Kandice Daulton, Damon Daulton and wife Brianna, Chelsea Blankenship and husband Brandon, Caelan Matney and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Elora, Elowen and Ronan Matney, and Lucas and Olivia Daulton.
Orville was a genuinely good and kind man. The world and all of those who were blessed to know him, are better for it.
A visitation for Orville will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta. The joy of family intertwined with her love for traveling, creating countless cherished memories.
Linda's warm presence will continue to resonate with her son, Marty Dean Kammerzell of Tulsa, son, Christopher Lane Kammerzell and Kelly Conner of Coweta, brother, Kenneth Martin Cobb and his wife Kathleen, her adored grandson, Kazz Kammerzell, niece, Ellie Powers and her husband Jeremy and their children Julian and Dominic, niece, Jessica Stidham and her husband Cory and their children Gabby and Isabelle, niece, Jenevieve Nablo and her husband Bob and their daughter Kate, nephew, Joe Cobb, and other extended family members.

He was born in Bellevue, Ohio, on December 19, 1957, to parents Thomas Kent Hensinger and Joanne Elizabeth (Meyers) Hamblin. Bill graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1976. Bill began his career in construction, expertly laying brick alongside his father and brother. He owned and operated his business “BK Paints” for many years before being led to an extended career working for the Tulsa County Highway Construction Department, as a dump truck driver.   Though his work was a significant part of his life, Bill was equally passionate about his personal interests and the friendships he built throughout his lifetime. A hat tip to adventure and the spirit of the West, he found joy in bull riding and the love of Rodeo. His excitement for golfing was matched only by his patience and persistence at the sport. Fishing provided him with quiet solitude. He took great pleasure in working outside around his home and relished in the simple beauty of a sunset view from his cherished place. At the heart of everything he did was Bill's family. He was a cherished brother to Teri King and her husband Rob, Linda Scroggins, and Marilyn Hensinger. His daughter, Clarissa Thompson, and grandchildren Anshelle Rose Thompson, Lillyah Di’Nae Thompson, and Kennette Buttercup Thompson remain a treasured part of his heart forever, along with his nieces and nephews Nicole Culpper, Matthew Hensinger, Marcus Hensinger, Scotty Hendricks, Alicia Tice, Brooke Tandy, Andy Hulse, Aaron Hulse, Christian Hahn, David Hahn, and Winter Hahn. His love extended to a multitude of great nieces and nephews who will deeply miss his lively spirit. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Joe Allen, and Thomas Earl Hensinger.

Obituary Preview: Elmer Leon Dodson, age 74, resident of Coweta, OK, passed away peacefully from this life to his heavenly home at his home in Coweta, OK, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Comforted by his wife at his side, he entered peacefully into the arms of Jesus. He was born on September 30, 1949, in Nowata, OK to Elmer Dodson and Mae D. (Cagle) Parker.
Leon's life was one of dedication and hard work. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, enlisting on May 22, 1968, and receiving an honorable discharge on January 6, 1969. His professional life was diverse, including roles as a truck driver, welder, machinist, and roofer. Leon's work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every task he undertook.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Leon was deeply involved in his community and church. He was a faithful member of Clarksville Free Will Baptist Church in Porter and in years past, taught Sunday school at New Home Free Will Baptist Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his daily actions and interactions with others.
Leon's passions were as varied as his skills. At a little white chapel, by an Assembly of God preacher, in Las Vegas, NV, Leon married the love of his life, Marianne Curtis, on June 8, 1989, and together they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Leon found pleasure in woodworking, painting, and leatherwork. He was also an avid builder of remote-control airplanes, a fisherman, an archer, and a musician who loved playing the guitar and singing. His creativity and zest for life were infectious, and he loved nothing more than sharing these interests with his family and friends.
Family was the center of Leon’s world. His love for each member was equally great. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marianne Dodson, of the home in Coweta, OK; his daughters, Jennifer Martins and her husband Drew of Bixby, OK, Amy Walkup of Coweta, OK, daughter-in-law, Misty Dodson of Coweta, OK and Angelia Guest and her husband Bryan of Arkansas; his son, Paul Labrum and his wife Charlaina of Rifle, CO; seventeen grandchildren, Mackenzie, Vivian, Jacob, Cade, Autumn, Ireland, Zach, A.J., Christopher, Gracie, Grant, Samantha, Stetson, Araminta, Brennan, Olivia, and Katelin; nine great-grandchildren, Oakley, Clancy, Stryder, Riggin, Kasey, Mattie, Braden, Emily, and Lance; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Dodson and Mae D. Parker, his son, Aaron Wade Dodson, his paternal stepmother, Edith Dodson, his maternal stepfather, Wes Parker, and his sister, Joyce Cory.

Her favorite pastimes were cooking, shopping, listening to R&B, movie marathons with her girls and spending time with her family and friends.
Amy married Chauncey Jones on September 16, 2013. Together they shared two daughters, Kayla and Kinlee, who were the absolute loves of her life.
At the time of her death, Amy was employed as the Business Development Center manager at Bill Knight Ford where she excelled in her career and created lasting friendships with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Eugene Hamby, of Berryhill Oklahoma.
She is survived by her husband, Chauncey Leon Jones of Ft. Worth Texas; her children, Kayla Love Jones, and Kinlee Grace Jones, of Tulsa Oklahoma; her mother, Paula Hamby; her sisters, Kimberly Hunt, Kerry Crittenden, Kacy Ellsworth, and Aubree Hamby; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Amy will be forever remembered as a loving, devoted mother, a kind and compassionate friend, a woman full of faith and for her ability to make everyone around her feel important, valued, and cherished.

Bob was truly a one-of-a-kind person. He was quick-witted, intelligent, talented, and dedicated. He loved and cared for his friends and family fiercely, always there as a confidant and a provider. Bob enjoyed time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, cooking fantastic meals, splashing in the pool, going on excursions, and making memories to cherish.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy; his mother Mary Lou Strumph; his children, Natalia, Alexandria, Amber, Annissia, and Nathaniel; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashlynn, Miles, Calli, Brooklyn, and Khaleesia; his brothers and sister, Richard, Brian, Ron, Greg, Don, and Terry; and many nieces, nephews, as well as extended family members.

Elise's legacy continues through her five grandchildren, Zachary, William, Thomas, Samantha, and Amy Anderson, as well as her four great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of numerous other relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
Elise's interests were simple yet profound. She found pleasure in coloring, an activity that reflected her vibrant and creative spirit. Cleaning was not just a job for Elise; it was an extension of her caring nature, ensuring that her loved ones were surrounded by comfort and cleanliness. Cooking was another passion, through which she expressed her love and care, creating delicious meals that brought her family together around the table.

Bill's life was characterized by his unwavering dedication to his family, his hard work, and his playful spirit.
A proud 1959 graduate of Coweta High School, Bill's work ethic was evident in his long-standing career as a warehouse leadman at Braden Winch in Broken Arrow, OK, where he dedicated 38 years of service before retiring. His colleagues remember him as a man who led by example, with a warm smile and a knack for making even the most mundane tasks enjoyable.
On March 10, 1960, Bill married the love of his life, Doris Marie Hash, at Thomas Community Church in Broken Arrow, OK.
Bill's interests were as rich and varied as his personality. He had a passion for roping and could often be found watching his favorite westerns. He took great pleasure in bailing hay and was always ready for a good-natured tease, bringing laughter to those around him. Above all, Bill cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories that they will treasure forever.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Doris Blair, of the home in Coweta, OK; his sons, Mark Blair (Rhonda) of Boynton, OK, Tim Blair of Wagoner, OK, and Matt Blair (Aimee) of Coweta, OK; his grandchildren, Karen Herriman (Toby), Wes Blair (Tiffani), Josh Blair, Aubrey Blair, Mandy Blair, Mattrick Blair (Hunter), and Mason Blair; and his great-grandchildren, Darren Herriman, Kaylee Meiwes (Kade), Jo Dawn Herriman, Kenyen Scott, and Miles Blair. He also leaves behind his brother, David Blair of Coweta; his sister, Sandra Owens of Coweta; his brother-in-law, Arley Pete Hash (Barbara); his brother-in-law, Dennis Hash; his sister-in-law, Pam Smith (Mark); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss his presence dearly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willie M. and Mary Thelma Blair, his brother, Larry Blair, and his sister, Linda Nail.
Visitation for Bill will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A graveside service to celebrate Bill's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK, with Pastor Don Couch officiating.

Obituary Preview: On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Ruth Ella (Neal) King, loving mother and grandmother, passed from this life at the age of 75 at her sister’s home in Coweta with family by her side.
Ruth was born April 9, 1948 in Claremore, Oklahoma in Rogers County to John Lester and Lula Irene (Isaac) Neal. She graduated from Haskell High School in 1966 and was a homemaker. On December 22, 1966, she married James William King. Together they raised two sons, David and Daniel, and two daughters, Cynthia and Christina.
Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family outdoors, camping and fishing. They often spent summers at the lake together. She could make any type of food on an open fire that taste amazing.  She enjoyed going to garage sales early in the morning to find the best deals. You could often find her reading a book or doing a crossword puzzle. After her children were older, she would crochet, making blankets, scarves and stocking caps for her family. Ruth enjoyed visiting the casino as often as possible. Ruth was known as “the baseball mom” by most people in her sons’ school. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play or perform in any activity they were involved in.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lula Neal, her husband, James King, daughter Cynthia (Hargrove) King, five brothers, Quinton Neal, Albert Neal, Raymond Neal, John Neal Jr. and Richard Neal. She is survived by her three children, David King and wife Becky of Broken Arrow, Daniel King of Haskell and Christina King of Haskell. Grandchildren, Madison King of Tulsa, Ryan King of Broken Arrow, Tiffany Hoover of Stone Bluff, Allen King of Haskell, Brandon King of Haskell, Blake King of Haskell, Joey Crank and wife Emily of New York, Hayley King of Coweta, Valerie Patterson and husband Andrew of Coweta, Lucas King of Haskell, Megan Davis of Broken Arrow and Julie Essary of Hectorville. Two brothers, James and Janice Neal of Morris, Homer (Dean) and Donna Neal of Haskell, four sisters, Mary and Randy Schumacher of Miami, Rita Reddick of Skiatook, Loretta and Ted Ridley of Chickasha and Dorothy Neal of Coweta. As well as five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Concharty United Methodist Church located at 19040 Garfield Road Okmulgee, OK at 11:00 am. A dinner will be served at the church following the service. There will not be a burial as Ruth wished to be cremated.
