Departed: 05/07/2022 (Eatontown)
Obituary Preview: Seung Ye Yoo was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on May 7, 2022 at the age of 80. She was born to Won Suk and Quy Lim Yang on January 10, 1942. After meeting her husband Jae Yoo, Seung Ye chased her dreams to become an American Citizen and live the American dream by leaving her home in Dae Jun, South Korea in 1983 to provide a better life for her and her six children (Bum Soon (Carl), Dong Soon. Choon Ja (Choi), Eun Joo – Karen (Greg), Ji Young (Hyungjung), and Sam Yoo (Elisangela). Seung Ye was also blessed with two great grandchildren. Seung Ye spent the better half of her life serving the public as the owner of Seoul Market in Eatontown, New Jersey. An article was placed in the paper recognizing her for the tremendous food (especially the Kimbap) she was making for the residents of Monmouth County. When Fort Monmouth was in its prime, many soldiers and their families would come to her store to taste the authentic food she made from South Korea. She made many lifelong friends while working as a public servant and also became a member of the church community. Seung Ye was a very kind and loving soul who would put her self second to others needs. Seung Ye loved to travel, and had the opportunity in her later life to see the world, such as Europe, Hawaii, and other amazing areas within the United States. Lastly, Seung Ye loved to garden and grow vegetables, she could be found in retirement in her back yard picking the most voluptuous vegetables. The viewing / funeral service for Seung Ye is scheduled from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Monmouth Methodist Church at 76 Wycoff Rd. Eatontown, NJ.
