Doris Ann Freeman - July 10, 1967 - February 25, 2024

Departed: 02/25/2024 (McCormick)
Obituary Preview: Doris Ann Freeman was born in the quaint and charming town of Lincolnton, Georgia on the 10th day in July during the year of 1967. Throughout her childhood, she was reared in McCormick, South Carolina, where she matriculated through the public school system of McCormick County. Upon graduating from McCormick High School, she was destined to serve her country as she joined the Air Force branch of the Armed Forces. Although she only served for a few years, she was afforded the opportunity to live abroad as she completed a tour of duty in Japan.
Throughout her life, Doris always had a remarkable ability to connect with others and those who knew her best know that she has never met a stranger. She was very inquisitive because she always had questions to probe your thoughts and a conversation to follow. While she accepted and loved everyone who was in her life, she always motivated others to be the best versions of themselves. She was devoted to and loved her family, at times more than she loved herself. She was selfless and although she had major hurdles to jump, she didn't want anyone to worry and kept herself shielded in order to overcome her own obstacles.
Doris was resilient and the sheer determination she exhibited was unmatched by any other. Her self-awareness made her thrive and reach heights that she never thought she would. Even when she thought that she was done, she would go back for more. Although she knew that perfection was never attainable, she knew that excellence would be achieved along the way. She was a loving and special soul that ensured that everything that she did and everyone that she touched was blessed.
Sadly, she returned to her heavenly father on February 25, 2024. Preceding her in death, her father, Johnny Freeman; daughter, Lauren Mims; and brother, Edward 'Heavy' Freeman.
