She was born on September 13,1964 in Scotland County to the late Archie Louis Jackson and Myrtle Lois Jackson.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother: Annie Jackson. As well as two siblings: Marshall Jackson and Kathy Chance. Ms. Jackson leaves a Godly heritage and a lifetime of loving memories to "Her Hearts", two daughters: Allana J. Blue, of Laurinburg and Amber Boyd of Wagram; eight grandchildren: Jordan, Kensley, Jaden, Jaylun, Joseph, Myriella, Allayah, and Emberly; seven siblings: Brenda Faye Bartel (Thomas) of Boyds, MD, Barbara Burgess of Monroe, GA, Stanley Jackson of Pembroke, Connie Jackson of Monroe, GA, Randy Jackson(Janie) of Laurinburg, Nelson Jackson(Lucy) of Pembroke, and Vickie Mize(Bill) of Monroe, GA; her beloved pets: Beauty, Queen, and Echo, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She dedicated her life selflessly with love to others. A recipient of The NC Nurse Scholars Program, she graduated salutatorian of her Nursing class at Richmond Community College. She worked many areas of nursing over her career but enjoyed psych nursing the most which was her last area of practice. She was the owner and operator of Angelic Care Home Health care agency. Where she labored in love for her patients, employees, and family. When she wasn't working she enjoyed spending time with her family. Making memories with them at the beach and mountains among her favorite. She loved the Lord and instilled in her family the importance of God and family. She loved her children and grandchildren with an unconditional love. There wasn't one thing she wouldn't do for them to help them along life's journey. "My HEART I love you and would give you my last until my last breath". She fulfilled that promise completely in every way. She will be missed more than we could ever express, but the love and example she left behind will forever be in our hearts and memories. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, April 28,2024 from 1-2P.M. at Boles Funeral home in Red Springs. There she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and helped prepare fellowship meals. She enjoyed family beach trips and making sure everyone had plenty to eat.She is survived by her children: Beth Galbreath (Jimmy) of the home and Tina Brock of Red Springs; grandchildren: Matthew Brock (Ashley), Andrew Brock (Ashley), Philip Brock (Tabitha); great-grandchildren: Dillon, Ethan, Bentley, Lukas, Avanleigh and Anna; brothers: Mike Stutts(Betsy), Jack Stutts (Terry); sister-in-law: Aileen Gooden (Gene) along with a host of other family members who she loved dearly. Mr. Strickland enjoyed music and reading his bible. One of his favorite Christian artists was Lauren Daigle. He also enjoyed fishing, building things with his hands, and drinking coffee. He would drink at least one pot of coffee each day. For the rest of our lives we will miss you. But we hope to always keep your memory alive through the songs we hear, each cup of coffee we will drink, and each time we cast our fishing rod out in the water. John Edward Townsend - October 18, 1930 - April 14, 2024

Obituary Preview: John Edward Townsend of Buie, NC died at home on April 14, 2024 at the age of 93. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Peggy (Tyner) Townsend and three children, John Edward Jr of Cobleskill, NY; Irene Townsend of Asheboro, NC, and William Townsend, of Buie, NC. He is also survived by two grandsons, John Payton Townsend of Wilmington, NC, and Ethan Townsend, of Leland, NC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Mr. Townsend was born in Buie on October 18, 1930, the son of James Ambrose Townsend and Irene (Jackson) Townsend. A lifelong farmer, he lived most of his life in Buie but attended college at North Carolina State University where he earned a degree in agricultural science in 1952. Later, in the 1970s, he also earned a masters degree in public administration, also from NC State. In addition to being a tobacco, cotton, corn, and bean farmer, he also served as a recorders court judge, probation officer, and as Robeson County ASCS executive director. He was a member of the Red Springs First Baptist Church and was the longest serving deacon in the Church’s history, as well as a Sunday School teacher for many decades. He was an avid reader throughout his life and was the last patron of the Robeson County Public Library Bookmobile when its visits to Buie were discontinued. Throughout his life he enjoyed trips to the beach with his family, talking about farming with anyone who would listen, and socializing with nearly everyone he encountered in his always busy daily life.A private service will be held for the family.

She loved the Lord and served the Him by helping the sick and shut-in. She had happy, loving spirit, even while battling many health issues. Sheryl’s memories and love will live on in her daughters, Vergie Marie Locklear (Hugh Allen) of Lumberton, NC, Christine Lynn Locklear of Pembroke, NC, Nickie Nichole Clark (Donald) of Lumberton, NC, a half-sister, Dinah Locklear Butcher (Ken) of Red Springs, and brother, Steve Locklear of Wilmington, NC. She graduated from Red Springs High School in 1961 and worked in Human Resourc at Unilever in Raeford for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Springs. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 1:30 P.M. at Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs, NC. Locklear, one brother James Lee Locklear, one daughter Ashley Locklear, and one grandson Lucas Shane Collins.He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Joey Locklear(Daneal) of Red Springs, NC and two daughters, Claudea Locklear Smith (John) of Raeford, NC, and Marlena Locklear of Red Springs, NC.; one granddaughter Joy Faith Smith; and four grandsons Dakota Locklear, Joey Locklear, Jeremiah Locklear, and Ashton Khol Collins. Two brothers Bender Locklear, and Glenn Dale Locklear. Three Sisters Joyce Locklear Stewart(Greg), Patricia Chavis, and Sandra Locklear and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.Mr. Clement was a construction worker for over 40 years. For many of those years he was self-employed and he trained his son, his brothers and many nephews this trade that they still use today. For many years he worked for Ratley Construction of Davis Bridge, NC where he was able to travel to Puerto Rico and many other states building and renovating McDonald’s Restaurants. There was nothing that he put his hands too that he couldn’t build or fix. He was also a mechanic and built his own mustang race car that he would race at Thunder Valley Raceway where he lived across from for over 25 years. He was a Nascar fan for many years and many would gather at his home on Sunday to see this race as well as the Thunder Valley race. He was famous for his pig picking gatherings were he cooked on a grill that he built himself. Many would gather at his house waiting for him to open up that grill so they could pull a rib or pork skin or a piece of the meat while he was checking it or putting some of his homemade barbecue sauce on it. He will be forever remembered by his siblings and family as a great brother, father, grandfather, and friend.Mr. Clement was an Army Veteran ranked as a E5 Sergeant and was a Heavy Wheel Mechanic.
