Obituary Preview: Emma Elizabeth Atkins 71, of Houtzdale, passed away Friday April 15, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born July 15,1950 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Esther (Kennedy) Blake. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale and attended the Moshannon Valley Community Church, Ramey
Emma attended the former Punxsutawney School of Cosmetology and received her cosmetology license in 1979. She owned and operated Emma Atkins Beauty Salon for over 35 years.
Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren was her greatest joy. Emma was a kind and caring person and loved each and every one of her clients.
Surviving are her daughters; Rhonda (Ronald) Majewsky, Jennifer (Michael) Randolph, both of Houtzdale, along with her three grandchildren; Stewart and Rachel Majewsky, Tess Randolph, and her long time companion James A Southern of Houtzdale.
Also surviving are two brothers, Barry Blake of Philipsburg and Lavoine McKee of Bellefonte.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Emile Stewart, second husband William Atkins, three brothers; Willis and Bruce Blake, Richard McKee and two sisters, Mary Jean Hazel and Linda Hoopsick.
Family and friends will be received at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. Houtzdale on Wednesday April 20, 2022  from 2:00 pm - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 pm. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home Thursday April 21,2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Ford and Rev. Kevin Howard officiating. Interment will be in the Westover Baptist Church Cemetery

Joseph Selvage - September 06, 1941 - April 14, 2022

Obituary Preview: Joseph "Buck" Selvage, 80, of Clearfield and formerly of Houtzdale, passed away Thursday April 14,2022 at home.
Born September 6,1941 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late John and Ruby (Phillips) Selvage.
Joe was a member of the United Mines Workers of America.
He was employed by Rushton Mine until its closure then worked for Kitko Wood Products until having to leave the workplace due to health issues.
Buck enjoyed tackling projects and working with his hands.  He never hesitated to help people out when there was a need.  He thoroughly enjoyed working on vehicles.  Other interests include camping and spending time with his family, dancing, and playing cards with friends.
On January 21, 1967 he married Kathryn (Murray) Selvage, who survives in Clearfield.
Along with his wife he is survived by his three daughters; Jamie Selvage of Madera, Heather Lewis of State College, and Bobbi Jo Hogue and her husband Carl of Spring Grove.
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; Gage and Austin McGuire, Logan Cox, Antonio Albright, Karyn Swanson, Crimson, Joseph, and Isaiah Hogue, Daren and Danae Lewis, Samantha Stamm and Jess McBride, a great grandson, Wesley Selvage, and a sister Linda McPherson.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John and Richard, and a sister Dorothy Prisk.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday April 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale with Father Joseph Czarkowski officiating.
Friends will be received Monday April 18, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Born October 13,1970 in South Amboy, New Jersey, he was the son of the Paul Fedisson the late Delores (Dezaiffe) Atkins.
Robert was employed at the former Commercial Envelope Factory, Altoona until his health declined.
He loved the outdoors and spending time with friends. He was an avid Penn State and Steelers football fan.
Robert is survived by his father Paul Fedisson of Avenel, New Jersey and a sister Lisa Mick of Houtzdale.
Preceding him in death was his mother, maternal grandparents Helena and Fredrick Dezaiffe, paternal grandparents Michael and Katherine Fedisson, and an Uncle Robert Dezaiffe.

Born January 15,1960 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Llewlyn "Mick" and Dora Fae (Rowles) Cardinal.
Michael was a member of the Brisbin Church of God and the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #327.
He was formerly employed by Appalachian Wood Products Inc, Clearfield.
In his early years he enjoyed riding motorcycles, but he always found time to tinker at things and work with his hands.
Surviving is his brother-in-law, Patrick Rodgers, three nieces: Diana Sullivan, Deborah Shaginaw, and Patricia Fitzsimons, along with longtime companion Brenda Burg.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Delores Rodgers.
There will be no visitation or service at this time.

Bonnie Jo Jedamzik - Unknown - March 22, 2022

Obituary Preview: Bonnie Jo (Baker) Jedamzik of Houtzdale, PA passed away on one of her favorite days, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2022, after a short illness surrounded by family. She was born in Westover, PA. She attended HWB (Moshannon Valley) and graduated in 1959. Bonnie then went to school to become a licensed cosmetologist. Bonnie worked in dietary and as a unit clerk at Philipsburg Hospital for many years until retirement when the hospital closed. Besides spending time with her family and close friends we all know Bonnie loved to shop. Bonnie had a great sense of fashion and always made sure to match her purses to her shoes. Other interests of Bonnie’s included sewing, pedicures, manicures, cleaning, NASCAR racing, and finding the best pajamas.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jake Baker and Pauline (Baker) Greenawalt; step-father John Greenawalt; step-sisters Mary Ellen Greenawalt and Rosalie Lewis; step-brothers Tom Greenawalt and Paul Greenawalt; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
Bonnie is survived by her loving children, Bridgett (Sandy) Bialota and Brice (Dayna) Ferguson; brother John Greenawalt; grandchildren Amanda Ferguson (Mikie 🙂 ), Todd Rees (Brittany), Brittany Bialota (Josh) and Alyssa Ferguson; great grandchildren Ryan, Jordyn, Kinzley, and Cole; aunts Leona Daisley and Miriam Hamric; and best friends Judy Kephart and Sue Webster.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Canton OH with Msgr. Frank A. Carfagna officiating. Bonnie will then be taken home to Houtzdale, where calling hours will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. with a Prayer Service at 11:45 a.m. officiated by Rev. Father Joseph Czarkowski. Interment will be at East Ridge Cemetery, Westover, PA.

Born January 13,1939 in Jersey City, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Cadematori)  Schlenker.
Carol was catholic by faith. She was employed as a registered nurse in Jersey City, New Jersey until her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling to many different places with her husband. They especially loved spending winters in Florida with many wonderful friends.  She was a spirited fun-loving lady who loved spending time with her family, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren, family meant everything to Carol.
On September 24,1960 in Union City, New Jersey, she married Alfred E. Straubinger , who survives at home.
Along with her husband , she is survived by two daughters; Lisa (Gary) Folmar of Grassflat, Lynn (Joseph) Schaefer of Beccaria and a son Steven (Lisa) Straubinger of Ringwood, New Jersey.
Also surviving are four granddaughters; Colleen, Meaghan, Carolyn, Emily, four grandsons; Joseph, Thomas, Max, Shane, two great granddaughters; Briauna and Charlotte, and sister Janet Harabendian.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday March 26,2022 at Moshannon Valley Community Church, Ramey at noon. Luncheon to follow service.

Born September 9,1951 in Kellytown, rural Olanta, he was a son of the late Mansfield G. and Marjorie (Schultz) Stewart.
He was a retired truck driver and heavy equipment operator.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing watching NASCAR races and football, but the thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Surviving are his daughters Sherri (Jerry) DeLucia of Brisbin, Tammy (Tim) McGlynn of Houtzdale and four grandchildren: Kaeli Criscitello, Tyler, Logan, and Bailee McGlynn, along with a step granddaughter Rain DeLucia and two great grandchildren Trentyn and Teigan McGlynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Gary Stewart.

Harry Edward "Ned" Smith Jr. - December 15, 1932 - February 07, 2022

Obituary Preview: Harry Edward "Ned" Smith Jr., 89, of Philipsburg, passed away Monday February 7,2022 at his residence.
Born December 15,1932 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Harry E. Smith Sr. and Frances (Roberts) Smith.
After graduating from Lock Haven High School, he attended Lock Haven University and attained his bachelor's degree in education from Lycoming College.
Harry served as a corporal in the United State Marines during the Korean War.
He taught Science in the Philipsburg Scholl District for 28 years, retiring in June of 1986.
Harry loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors and was an avid member of the NRA. He took pride in being referred to as a horticulturist.  He could grow anything and had been able to graft many fruit trees. Harry married Virginia Lee (Thompson) Smith, who preceded him in death on May 20, 2016
Surviving is a daughter Lucie Opalka of Oklahoma City, OK, a son Allen Smith and his wife Regina Raymond of Osceola Mills, a granddaughter Katie Opalka and a great granddaughter Haven.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Virginia and a grandson Garrett Smith.
It was his wishes to have no visitation or service.

Obituary Preview: Thomas P. "Terp" Trella, 85 of Houtzdale, passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022, at Haida Healthcare and Rehab Center, Hastings.
Born June 20, 1936, in Pacific (rural Houtzdale), he was the son of the late Paul Andrew and Anna (Flecher) Trella.
Thomas was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Houtzdale American Legion Freeberg Post #591.
He served honorably with the United States Army 553rd Engineer Company from 1959 to 1962.
Thomas was a talented carpenter who built many homes in the area.  He also built furniture including miniature American Doll House designs for children.
On October 29, 1968, her married Annette (Murawski) Trella, who preceded him in death on January 12, 2017.
Thomas is survived by two sisters: Delores "Dory" Archibald of Harrisburg and Patricia Waltman of Everett. along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, many aunts and uncles, one nephew Thomas Waltman, and brother and sisters-in-law: Joan Simmons, Melanie Murawski and Phil Kitko.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale with Father Joseph Czarkowski as celebrant.
Family and friends will be received Friday February 4, 2022, at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Brisbin.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The family requested donations be made In Thomas's memory to Christ the King Catholic Church, 123 Good Street, Houtzdale, Pa. 16651

Born February 6, 1949, in Bloomsburg, he was a son of the late William and Barbara (Clewell) Yaple.
Gerald graduated from Benton High in 1968 and moved to Houtzdale that summer.  He worked on the family farm until 1983 when he went to work for Flango Brothers and later Swistock Corporation in the coal industry. He retired in 2015 from Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. after 30 years of service.
He loved to hunt turkey and deer.
On December 1, 1968, he married his wife of 53 years, Margaret (Giger) Yaple who survives in Houtzdale.
Gerald is survived by his wife, three daughters; Jennifer (Ben) McCusker, Gina (John) Mital, and Gretchen (Andrew) Sinclair, along with three grandchildren he loved with all his heart; Chase Mital, Adalynn and Gabriella Sinclair.
Also surviving are six siblings: Janice Yaple of Osceola Mills, Joyce Yaple and Jackie Cormeir of Houtzdale, Carolyn Lutz of Altoona, Curt Yaple of Indiana and Carl Yaple of Houtzdale.
He was preceded on death by his parents.

Anna Mae was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Houtzdale, and had worked at the former General Cigar.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who loved caring for others, especially children.
On April 19, 1969 she married Edward L. Smeal of West Decatur. Anna Mae is survived by her husband; brother, James Huber of Chester Hill; two sons, Edward A. Smeal of Willow Grove and Robert L. Smeal of Houtzdale; and four grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Karl, Emil Jr., Charles, Bill, Jack, and sisters Louise Harsomchuck and Cora Mae Boulton.

Born December 26, 1949 in Newtown, he was a son of the late Leland and Hazel (Richner) Kephart.
Darrell was a member of the Brisbin Church of God, a 52 year member of the local 126 and 459 IBEW, lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #327, Osceola Masonic Lodge #515, Shriners, the Jaffa Gester Club, Jaffa Antique Car Club, Jaffa Oriental Band, and member of numerous local clubs.
Darrell was employed as a journey lineman until his retirement.
He enjoyed working with antique cars, hunting with his family and friends, watching his grandchildren play sports, and spending the winters in Florida.
Darrell is survived by his children: Bernie L. Kephart and his wife Julie of Houtzdale, Brett Kephart and his wife Denise of Smokerun, Holly (Kephart) Myers and her husband Todd of Indiana, and longtime companion Sophia Sprankle of Houtzdale.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Cierra, Tanner, Brady, Brinley, Sklar, Kaden Kephart, Isaac and Ella Myers, along with a brother Richard Kephart and his wife Judy of Houtzdale, three sisters, Joyce Yarger of Philipsburg, Judy Albert of West Decatur and Betty Oswalt and her husband Tom of Dover.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc. Houtzdale on Thursday from 2:00 pm to  8:00 pm. and Friday from 10:00 am until noon.
Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home Friday at noon with Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose will hold a memorial service at 7:30 pm Thursday followed by a Masonic Service at 7:45 pm. Both at the funeral home.

Adele Sahlaney - Unknown - November 20, 2021

Obituary Preview: On November 20, 2021, Adele (Shamoon) Sahlaney passed away peacefully in her home. She was in the 98th year of a wonderful life. Adele was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. In her teens, she worked as a model at Abraham & Straus and later became a licensed cosmetologist. When she was 23, Adele met her future husband, Simon Sahlaney. The couple had many things in common, except for one thing. Adele was a lifelong city girl and Simon a country gent, hailing from Houtzdale, PA, where he co-owned Sahlaney’s Furniture & Department Store. When they married two years later, Adele packed her belongings Green-Acres style and moved to the countryside, which she soon grew to love. Active and independent to the last day of her life, Adele gave up driving when she was 96, mainly to appease her daughters (and other drivers who desired to exceed 25 mph). Adele was a voracious reader and prolific shopper. She loved the Washington Post, chocolate marshmallow ice cream and watching cooking videos on her iPad (even though she didn’t like to cook). But more than anything, she loved her family who will miss her kindness, intelligence and beauty for all eternity. Adele was preceded in death by her beloved Simon and two sisters Barbara Sharib and Louise Shamoon, both of Brooklyn. She is survived by her loving daughters, Barbara Sahlaney and Mary Kay Roman, and son-in-law, Dennis, all from Pittsburgh. She leaves behind two cherished grandsons, Zachary Simon Roman of Pittsburgh, and Matthew John Roman of Los Angeles. She is also survived by her adored goddaughter Linda Sharib of Connecticut, and many dear nieces and nephews. A private celebration of life will be held in lieu of a service. John James Glowacki, 91, of Mayfield Village, passed away Tuesday,   Nov. 9, 2021, at his residence with his wife by his side.
He was born May 8, 1930, in Houtzdale, Pa.
John served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, was a member of St. Christine's Church in Euclid and spent 25 years attending Adoration at St. Williams Church in Euclid. John served as the Commander of the Polish Legions of American Veterans (PLAV) Chapter 31 for many years. He enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, spending time at the casinos, and tending to all the animals that he loved so dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet (nee Goglin); four-legged companion, Zoey; daughters, Wendy (Timothy) Hambor of Spartanburg, S.C., and Laurie (Robert Stakes) Meagher of Gates Mills; sons, Matthew (Terri) Meagher, John Meagher of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Robert (Marcie) Meagher of Columbus; and brother, Thomas of Harrisburg, Pa. John was also blessed and loved by 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Casper and Catherine (nee Grudzinski); sisters, Verna, Helen, Barbara and Katherine; and brothers, Stanley and Kasmir.
Family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale, Pa., followed by a full Catholic Mass. Burial will follow in St Barbara's  Cemetery, Brisbin with full Military Honors accorded by the Houtzdale American Legion Honor Guard.

Born on July 22, 1930 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Polinsky) Miscavish.
Peggy was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.
She devoted her life to caring for others, especially her siblings.  She enjoyed spending time with her family on special occasions and holidays.
Peggy enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking and caring for her flowers.
She will be deeply missed by her nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and a special nephew Scott (Stephanie) Miscavish and a great niece Madisyn, with whom she shared many memories.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Jordan, Gertrude Albert, Bertha Miscavish, Mary Ann Biancuzzo, Dorothy Thompson and her twin sister Martha  (Pat) Miscavish, brothers Lawrence, Joseph, Frank, Thomas Miscavish and half brothers, Raymond, John, and Chester Miscavish.  She was the last of her immediate family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale on Monday November 8, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Joseph Czcarkowski as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.

Obituary Preview: Edward John Kokosko, 52 of Houtzdale, passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born March 20, 1969 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Barbara Ann (Patkalitsky) Kokosko and Carl Edward Kokosko of Houtzdale.
Eddie was a graduate of Moshannon Valley High School and received  his bachelors degree from Wesleyan  College, where he played baseball.
He was a member of Holy Protection St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in  Sheraton, W.V., member of the Janesville VFW, the Houtzdale Loyal Order of Moose #327, and the Tyrone American Legion.
He was employed as a sales representative for various Copper and Brass Companies.
Eddie enjoyed camping ,hunting, fishing and playing baseball, but the love of his life were his children.
On August 27, 2018 he married Melinda (Laskowsky) Kokosko who survives in Houtzdale.
Also surviving is his father, children Charlotte Kokosko and Jayden Laskowsky of Houtzdale and Alexandra and Karoline Kokosko of Morgantown, WV.
He was preceded in death by his mother, an infant sister, his maternal grandparents John and Ann Patkalitsky, his paternal grandparents John and Helen Kokosko and an aunt Barbara Kokosko.
Family will receive friends on Friday November 5, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Birger A Freeberg Funeral Home Inc, Houtzdale.
Funeral Service of the Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey with Rev. Father James Davidson as celebrate.
Interment will follow in St Lawrence Cemetery, Houtzdale.

Obituary Preview: On October 5, 2021, Frank Harchak, a loving husband and father of three children, passed away at the age of 95 at the Windy Hill Village.  Frank was born on September 1926, in Houtzdale, Pa.  From 1944 until 1946, he served in the United States Navy as a Motor Machinist's Mate 3rd Class.  While in the US Navy, he earned the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.
On November 1955, he married Mim Bacher and together they raised three children.  Frank is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Mim, and his children, Frank (Elsie) Harchak, Valerie (Scott) Riddell and Niki (Gary) Hoover.  Everyone knew Frank as "Pap" and he was a kind and loving grandfather to his five grandchildren, Taylor, (Lauren) Harchak, Stefani (Alex) Yingling, Curtis (Melinda) Hoover, Brianna (Tim) Riddell and Janessa Riddell and his five great grandchildren, Chloe, Oliver, Ari, Everly, and Myla.
Frank was a hard worker his whole life.  He was a crane operator on the power lines, a dragline operator for Al Hamilton Contracting and after retirement he was a school bus driver for the Moshannon Valley School District through Fullington Auto Bus Company for many years.  He was a member of the St. Mary's Annunciation Ukrainian Catholic Church, IBEW, and the American Legion Freeberg Post 591.  As a young man he earned his pilot license and was an avid pilot until his 70's.  He enjoyed flying, airplanes, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Harchak, his siblings, Betty Hensel, John Harchak, William Harchak, Christine DeLattre and Pat Bailey.  He is survived by his sister Margaret Shimchok and many nieces and nephews.

Obituary Preview: Owings, MD -  Daniel Anthony Dugan, 70, died peacefully after a two year battle with ALS on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at his home with his devoted wife Debbie of 47 years at his side. He was born on January 5, 1951 in Morann, PA, the son of Gertrude Bridget Magensky and Haney Peter Dugan.
After graduating from Moshannon Valley High School in 1968 he began his career with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, first as a patrol officer, then acting sergeant in the 2nd District.  He later transferred to the canine division while training alongside his canine partner, Max33, where he remained until his retirement in 1996.
Dan was a US Army Reserve Veteran having served from December 1970 to May 1976.  During his service he received the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge award.
Dan found quiet time in the outdoors, fishing and deer hunting, and catching up with his boyhood friends at the Morann Citizens Club, of which he was an honorary member.
He especially enjoyed his summer vacations at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland with his children and grandchildren.  He and Debbie had the opportunity to enjoy many travels and adventures together.
Dan is survived by his wife Debbie (Downing), their three daughters, Shannon Dugan-Laird (John); Jennifer Dugan- Pollack (Matt); and Katie Dugan- Canon (Chris); his grandchildren, Savannah and Jack Laird; Brynn, Kinley, Piper, and Cace Pollack; his brothers, Lawrence (Sandy), Michael (Connie), Mark (Vicki), and Matthew (Catherine); his sisters, Kathleen Dugan, Teresa Dugan, Linda Kitko (Larry), Patricia Dugan Barber (Gary), sister-in-law Sylvia (Solensky) Dugan, many nieces and nephews, and his Downing family.
Dan is predeceased by his parents, brothers Paul and John, and infant sister Janeen; paternal grandparents Patrick and Mary (Haney) Dugan and maternal grandparents Ludwig and Anna (Bezilla) Magensky.

Michael was a parishioner of St. Barbara's PNC Parish, Houtzdale, a member of the Houtzdale American Legion Freeberg Post #591, Stephen Kandrach Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 6321, Smithmill, Croatian Club Lodge 80 of Smoke Run and the Morann Citizens Club.
He is survived by his wife Joyce (Finney) Carnahan of thirty five years, three children, Barbara (Rich) Bloom of the Poconos, George Descavish of Houtzdale, Chrissy Reader and her fiance' Jonathan Michaels of West Decatur, along with ten grandchildren; Brooke, Bryan, Nicholas, Savannah, Donnie, Katie, Hunter, Conner, Cole and Olivia.
Also surviving are three brothers, Norman (Terry) Dobish of Smoke Run, David (Angie) Dobish of Madera, Dennis Dobish of Beccaria, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Danny Dobish.

Socializing with family and friends was her passion. Nan was a great cook and a connoisseur of good coffee. She took pride in the appearance of herself and husband. She loved game shows and had a sharp memory until her final days.
On July 5, 1957 in Winchester VA, she married Richard J Archer, who preceded her in death on April 24, 2009.
Nan is survived by a daughter Deborah (Thomas) Eckberg of Houtzdale, a son Duane (Debra) Archer of Frenchville, four grandchildren: Brad (Trudy) Eckberg of Brisbin,  Antoinette (Anthony) Buck of Frenchville, Tina Eckberg of Pittsburgh, Deanna (Craig) Lobb of Brisbin.
Also surviving are eight great grandchildren: Lauren, Trae, Jalen, Tyler, Noelle, Kassidy, Axton and Amelia.
Nan was the last of her generation.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and eight siblings.
Family and friends will be received Monday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

On February 3, 2005 he married Tonja (Miller) Leskovansky, who survives in Hyde.
Along with his mother Mary and Wife Tonja, he is survived by the following children; Sasha Leskovansky of Houtzdale, William Leskovansky Jr. of Clearfield, Alexis Carles of Clearfield, Alex Leskovansy of Hyde, a step son Masen Geier of Penfield and nine grandchildren; Gavhin, Eli, and Wyatt Leskovansky, Emma Monk, Jorjia Deluccia, Jacey Shawver, Safire Carles, Mateo and Everleigh Geier.
Also surviving are ten siblings; Helena Snyder of Woodland, Anna Mae Mills of Mobile, AL, Maryann Swartz of Ginter, Elizabeth Visnofsky of Beccaria, Marlene McGuire of Morrisdale, Susan Schickel of Roy, UT, Stephen Leskovansky of Morann, Clifford Leskovansky of Kylertown, Michael Leskovansky of Hawk Run, and Samuel Leskovansky of Morann.
Bill was preceded in death by his father.

On May 4, 1946 in Cumberland Maryland, she married George E. Tokarcik, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2000.
Together they owned and operated Tokarcik's Grocery store for 23 years and Houtzdale Wholesale Beverage Co. for five years.
Melba retired in 1981 from Charles Navasky Clothing Co. where she was employed as a bookkeeper.
Melba is survived by a daughter Debra Jean Deao and her husband Lawrence of Houtzdale, two grandsons;  Andrew L. Deao and his wife Lacey of McMurray, PA, Stephen G. Deao and his wife Kelly of Denver, CO, along with two great grandchildren, Cordelia Jean and Odessa Lou Deao.
Preceding her death were her parents, husband , twin infant sisters Elva and Ella Sternesky.
Service will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Preceding him in death was his mother and a sister Gladys E. Frantz.
