Ronald Allan Kozlowski - February 22, 1957 - December 12, 2023

Departed: 12/12/2023 (Comstock Park)
Obituary Preview: Ronald Allan Kozlowski, known affectionately to all as Ron, was a beacon of joy who brought laughter and warmth to every room he entered. Born on February 22, 1957, in Grand Rapids, MI, Ron led a life marked by selflessness, humor, and an unfaltering dedication to his loved ones. On December 12, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family, Ron passed away peacefully from natural causes in Comstock Park, MI.
Ron's journey began as the youngest of 4 children, where he spent his childhood and later years enriching the lives of those around him. His life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the simple pleasures that bring the greatest joy. With Nancy, his beloved wife of many years, Ron built a life filled with laughter and love. Together, they raised a beautiful family, each member a reflection of Ron's kindhearted and jovial spirit.
His legacy is lovingly carried on by his devoted wife, Nancy; his daughter, Megan Westhouse; his son, Zack Kozlowski; his son-in-law, Jared Westhouse; his sister, Arlene (Jim) Clinton; and his brothers, Tom (Sue) Kozlowski and Jim (Erin) Kozlowski. Ron was predeceased by his son, Derek Kozlowski; and his parents, Anthony and Rose Kozlowski, whom were held dearly in his heart until his last breath. Ron was a friend, a confidant, and a pillar of strength to his family, always there with a comforting embrace or a perfectly timed joke to lighten the mood.
Ron's career as an upholsterer spanned over 37 years, where he was known for his meticulous craftsmanship and friendly banter with clients and coworkers alike.
Despite his busy career, Ron always found time for what he cherished most—spending time with his family. Whether it was enjoying the tranquil views at their cottage by the lake or engaging in the simple pleasure of a shared meal, Ron knew the value of being present and making memories. His ability to turn mundane moments into cherished memories will be deeply missed.
Ron's interests weren't limited to the joy he found in his work and family life. In his younger years he enjoyed photography as well as hunting and fishing with friends. His sense of humor was one of his most endearing qualities. He was the master of dad jokes, always ready with a quip that was sure to elicit eye rolls and laughter in equal measure. The words that best describe Ron are funny, friendly, and selfless—a man who gave freely of himself and asked for little in return.
As we say farewell to Ronald Allan Kozlowski, we celebrate a life lived to its fullest—a life full of laughter and love. His spirit endures in the countless lives he touched and in the loving family he nurtured. We honor his memory by holding close the joy he spread and striving to live with the same generosity of spirit that defined his life. Ron’s family and friends will forever hold dear the memories of his gentle humor, his unwavering support, and his profound ability to make each person feel uniquely special. He will be profoundly missed and eternally cherished.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 15, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Ave NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321. Nevaeh Graceann Downs - December 12, 2004 - November 23, 2023

Departed: 11/23/2023 (Comstock Park)
Obituary Preview: Nevaeh was a beautiful young woman who made a positive impact on everyone she met. She was thoughtful, strong, and caring. This obituary was not written by somebody that did not know her. Instead, it has been inspired and crafted by the many people that loved and knew her. As a recent 2023 graduate of Northview High School, she could be found in 2 places. In the halls giving good advice or most importantly, in the pool practicing through endless determination for the Northview Swim Team. She didn’t want to be like everybody else. She never wanted to win the quick race. Her love was for the difficult race, The 500.
This is a list of her accomplishments and things she enjoyed during her short time with us; dancing, soccer, Rachael Ray and designing her own clothes in elementary school. Sleepwalking through the woods in Girl Scout camp, Lacrosse, and mentoring the Pre-K children during her Junior and Senior year. Listening to Mac Miller, spending time with her niece and nephew, Tillian and Jay and helping her brother Caleb with his daily tasks. Making memories with her countless friends, waiting tables at Cinco De Mayo in downtown Grand Rapids and inspiring all of us with her funny laugh and her encouraging words.
We are gratefully overwhelmed by the social media posts, especially from her peers. Friends in particular get a different version of our children, than we as parents do. Being able to see Nevaeh through their eyes has been incredibly powerful for us. God has been gracious to our family during this time with an incredible gentleness as he carries us through this difficult time. We pray for all of her friends that have been impacted by this. Our hope is that they will hold on to her laughter and memories with no regrets, because one of Nevaeh’s favorite sayings was, “Love Harder.” We can all agree that Nevaeh left us too soon. However, we can all agree that the impact she left on us will last a lifetime.
This is not a typical obituary because her real obituary has already been written by the countless loving posts made by her friends and peers on social media. These inspiring posts more accurately describe a woman whose beauty goes far beyond physicality. We Love you Nevaeh.
