Lavetta was a member of the Leisure Lounge of Gloversville. She liked to play on her tablet and enjoyed camping.
She is survived by her fiance, Daniel Vosburgh; a daughter, Cheryl Miles; her mother, Carol Countryman; a sister, Sabrina Countryman; a brother, Douglas Countryman Jr; two granddaughters, Aaliyha and Mya; a grandson; an uncle, James Sweet; a brother-in-law, Barry Schuyler, Sr; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father; her husband, Ralph H. Colmenero; and a sister, Wilhelmina Countryman.

He was born March 22, 1949 in Gloversville, the son of Howard and Arlene Bovee Young. He was employed by various leather finishing companies in the area, and lastly as a driver for Skiff's Dairy.
Steve enjoyed the outdoors and loved his family, especially his granddaughter, Hailey Shae.
He is survived by nine children, Theresa Bellow, Stephanie Warner, David Young, Steven Young, Jr, Jonathan Young, Mark Young, Jennifer Young, Annmarie Young and Aaron Young; two brothers and four sisters, Gene, Raymond, Cora, Nancy, Roseanne and Marylee; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, also two brothers and a sister, Howard and Frank Young and Sharon VanHoesen.
Cremation will take place at Parkview Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady.

Born on August 29, 1938 in Amsterdam, the son of the late Leo and Marion (Denton) Frascatore. David was a graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School after he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
David was employed for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator by the NYS Thruway Authority and was stationed out of Amsterdam. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in various NY State Parks with his family. He also was an avid bowler and golfer in his younger years. His true passion was his family especially his grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Amsterdam.
Dave was married on October 22, 1960 to the former Susan Haverly who passed away on July 10,2005. He was also predeceased by his brother Clement Frascatore.
Survivors include his two sons, David (Bonnie) Frascatore Jr. of Kissimee, Florida and Gregg (Deborah) Frascatore of Broadalbin, NY. Two sisters, Marion Frascatore of Amsterdam and Flavia Bush of Amsterdam; five grandchildren, Nathan, Jayson, Taylor, Julianna and Leah; step- grandson, Shawn Collins; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda is survived by three children, Deborah Bushnoe, Kandy DeLong and Delbert Bushnoe; two brothers and three sisters, Richard Tyrrell, Kathy Pelcher, Robert Tyrrell, Marion Tyrrell and Sandra Tyrrell; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Interment will take place later in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.

Michaelette was of Catholic faith. She was a charming, feminine woman who loved country music. She enjoyed being pampered and never refused a bubble bath. She enjoyed spending time laughing with her friends. All who knew her will miss her infectious smile.
Survivors include her mother, Madelene Waite of Mayfield; two brothers, Martin Waite (Cathy) of Gloversville; Bruce Waite of Broadalbin; a sister, Brenda Jacobson of Mayfield; her loving Lexington family, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald J. Waite.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will take place later in the spring at Broadalbin Mayfield Rural Cemetery, Broadalbin.

Besides her parents Shirley is predeceased by two sons Frank Hayes, and Brian Teale.
During her lifetime Shirley enjoyed taking care of her loving family, she also enjoyed riding horses. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved watching Football, and Nascar.

Obituary Preview: Joseph Samuel Greco, 70, of Gloversville, formerly of Amsterdam and Broadalbin, passed away Wednesday morning March 21, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
He was born October 14, 1947 to Augustine and Clara Karp Greco in Amsterdam, NY.
A 1965 graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam. He was a self- employed carpenter by trade of Greco's Home Improvement in Amsterdam.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and his infant daughter Jennifer.
Survivors include his Two sons, Todd J. Greco (Diane) of Gloversville and Jeremy C. Greco and daughter-in-law, Rachel Greco of Amsterdam. His step-mother Amy Greco of Glen, brother, Samuel Greco of Glen , sister, Gina Yesse and her husband Eric of Glen, and cherished grandchildren, Terence, Sebastian, and Emma Greco. Nieces, nephews and many cousins also survive.
Joe enjoyed time spending time with his family and fishing and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and the Indianapolis Colts.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Amsterdam.

Obituary Preview: William C. Coons, age 76, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, with his loving family at his side, following a brief illness.
He was born March 27, 1941 in Amsterdam, the son of Clarence and Vera Robinson Coons. He served in the Army National Guard until 1969. He was employed as a supervisor by General Electric Co. in Schenectady, retiring after 32 years of service.
Bill enjoyed visiting the Racino and was well-known for his photography skills. He always had his cameras available with him wherever he traveled. He enjoyed going out to socialize with everyone.
He was the Historian for the Broadalbin American Legion Post #337 and the American Legion Riders and the American Legion Color Guard. He was also a member of the Gloversville Moose, Concordia Club, Mayfield Servicemen's Club, Tribes Hill Fish and Game Club, Forrester's Club and the 25 Year Club at General Electric.
Bill is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Ruthann Oathout Coons; three daughters, Lisa Campo (John) of Clifton Park, Michelle Esposito (Frank) of Waterford and Sherry Pettit (Chuck) of Gloversville; two brothers, Nelson Coons (Joyce) of Amsterdam and Robert Coons of Johnstown; seven grandsons, Joseph and Anthony Campo, Jacob Esposito (Alyssa Gullotto), Buzz (Tessa), Joshua (Shauna Duesler), Corey (Heather McGrail) and Cody Pettit; six great-grandchildren, Anna Mae, Charlie, Annabelle, Hunter, Tucker and Dakota Pettit. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 25 at Jeffords & Stewart Funeral Home, 85 West Main Street, Broadalbin, where a Funeral Service will take place 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Interment will take place in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Legion Post 337, 19 N. Main St. Broadalbin, NY 12025.

Clara was a member of the Johnstown Reformed Church and the Concordia Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by three children, David Gifford of Johnstown, Beth Leonard (Francis) of Gloversville and Christopher Gifford (Dawn) of Bristol, PA; two sisters, Joanne Fabozzi and Marjorie Gentile (Pat), both of Broadalbin; five grandchildren, Zachary Decker, Benjamin Decker, Padraic Decker, Rachel Sack and Ian Gifford; four great-grandchildren, Jaxon Decker, Harrison Decker, Milania Decker and Jacob Sack; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Clara was predeceased by her parents; also by a brother, John Crispin; and her companion of many years, William Hesphelt.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, where a Funeral Service will follow at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Bryan Dykema officiating.
Interment will take place later in the spring at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.

She was born June 8, 1945 to Sheila and Terrance Billington in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She moved to the states as a young girl. As a teenager, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She also managed a tea room at a Bed & Breakfast in Maine. Her greatest joy was making a home for her 6 children: Christine (Bob) Gerber, Marlana (Rich) Scott, Elizabeth Phillips, Bre Chamberlain, Chad (Dinah) Chamberlain, Jacob Chamberlain, and her two-stepchildren Tracy (Scott) Higgenbotham and Jill (Dino) Delviscio. 12 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She was an artist, and writer, and a lover of all people. She was an active member of her church prior to her illness. A very spiritual women of faith, she never claimed a denomination only saying that she was a Christian.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday March 23, 2018 at 2pm at the Baptist Church of Northville, 111 N. First St. Northville, NY 12134. Following the services there will be a gathering at the Fox Run Golf Club 129 County Hwy 142A, Johnstown, NY 12095 from 4 to 7 pm.

Obituary Preview: Bridget F. Bubniak, 101, of Amsterdam, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn surrounded by her loving family.
Bridget was born on March 15, 1917 in Amsterdam, NY. The second of two daughters born to the late Joseph and Marion (Sinkevich) Labunski, she was a lifelong resident of Amsterdam.
As a young girl, Bridget happily recalled careening down snowy Garden Street on a sled when cars were rare, sharing homemade apple pies with friends on the porch and riding in the rumble seat of her favorite teacher's automobile.
Bridget married Chester S. Bubniak on November 9, 1941. She was a Crane Operator for the General Electric Company during World War II and was proud to make her contribution to the war effort while her husband served in the Air Force. After the war, they parented a much-adored son, Thomas Chester Bubniak, born on the first day of summer in 1946. Bridget became a devoted wife and mother who made a beautiful home for her family. An accomplished cook and baker, Bridget kept her family and neighbors well-fed. Her home was a favorite attraction for the neighborhood children who stopped by on a regular basis.
She was a devout parishioner of both St. Casimir's and then Historic St. Mary's Roman Catholic Churches. Mrs. Bubniak was also a volunteer and advocate over the years for the Cerebral Palsy Association and the Liberty Foundation.
Bridget's beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, and gentle touch affected the many people with whom she connected. Her joyful laugh and wisdom will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by those who had the good fortune to know her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Hepinstall, her husband, Chester, and her nephew, James T. Hepinstall. Survivors include her beloved son, Thomas Chester of Amsterdam; nieces, Mary Jane Flanigan, Katherine Hepinstall, and JoAnna Hepinstall of the Albany area; great-nephews, Jim (Emily) Dabek and Pete (Amanda) Flanigan; great-nieces, Lisel, Donna, and Meghan as well as several other family members.

Born in Huntington Station, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Blovsky and Betty Lohr Blovsky. A graduate of Walt Whitman High School, Brenda relocated to Gloversville in 1983, where her parents still have a summer home on the Sacandaga Lake. She was employed by the CVS in Johnstown, NY for many years, ending her career there as the store manager.
Brenda was an avid fan of tennis and the New York Yankees. Her favorite pastime was vacationing in Wildwood, NJ as well as Mexico and the Caribbean. She especially loved her cats Kali, Pudgie and Ivy. They were her "babies".
Surviving are her loving husband Donald "Donnie"; mother Betty Blovsky; brother Bruce Blovsky (Jennifer); mother and father-in-law Donald and Glenna Fremont; sister-in-law Brenda Fremont (Jeff); as well as several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

Born in Gloversville on September 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Lebenheim Lomanto. She was a 1971 graduate of Gloversville High School and also graduated from FMCC and SUNY at Cortland.
Barb was a social studies teacher at St. Johnsville Central School for 31 years and was the yearbook advisor for many years. She enjoyed her years of teaching and making dear friends through her teaching. Barb was always supportive of her students, making a difference in many of their lives.
She enjoyed summers at the camp on West Caroga Lake and keeping in touch with lifelong friends. She was a very kind and caring person. She was always concerned about others and did for others. She was best known for "Aunt Barb's" cookies that she shared with family and friends.
Barb is survived by a sister, Mary Jo; a brother, William (Kayoko); and nephews Michael "Chester" and Kazuma.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville.
A celebration of Barb's life is being planned for July at Caroga Lake.

A lifelong area resident, Roland was born on December 17, 1920 the son of the late Sisto and Angelina Barbato Morrone. He graduated from St. Mary's Institute in 1938. He served in the United States Army as a medic beginning in 1942 in North Africa and Italy; as he always proudly stated, "A full year before the D-Day Invasion." He was honorably discharged in 1945. Roland was employed by Mohasco and later Greno Industries until his retirement.
On May 28, 1950 he was united in marriage to Esther Mancini Morrone. Together for 68 years they built a wonderful life together dedicated to God and their family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; four children, S. John Morrone, Lorraine Suliveres, Christine Morrone (Jerry Bepko) and William Morrone and his wife Pamela; six grandchildren, Jade Suliveres, Caroline Adolfsson, Philip Morrone and his wife Samantha, Peter Morrone, Adan Morrone and Tyler Morrone; two great grandchildren, Audrina and Amari; and a niece, Lisa Morrone- Van Dusen.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Brother Sixtus Morrone, OFM, Robert Morrone and John Morrone.

On June 6, 1953, Sandra J. Proctor married Richard S. Rudin. He predeceased her on December 3, 2012, after 59 years of marriage. Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa J. Fox of South Carolina and Randie Rudin Salmon (Del) of Niskayuna; her three grandchildren, Benjamin Salmon (Emily Cooper) of New Jersey, Stephen Salmon (Amanda) of Utah, and Hannah Salmon of Niskayuna; and her four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Sydney, Hayley, and Beckett Salmon, of New Jersey.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Whitehaven Cemetery, Rochester, New York.
The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Randie and Del Salmon, 80 Pheasant Ridge, Niskayuna, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Shiva service commencing at 7 p.m.

She was born at home in Riceville, NY on November 18, 1941 to parents Clyde L. Johnson and Blanche Dingman Johnson. She graduated from Mayfield Central School in 1959. Carol worked as a secretary at Mohawk Cabinet, Shine's and Mayfield Central School. She was a founder of the first Mayfield Fireman's Auxiliary. Her interests included shopping with the "Golden Girls" Marilyn Johnson and Donna Ellithorpe and attending the Saratoga horse races with Pat, Jan, Sandy, Jean and Karen. She loved playing the piano and played on WENT radio as an 8 year old girl.
On June 17, 1961 Carol married Gary T. Smullen who survives and also lives in Mayfield. Also surviving are her three children, Geoffrey Smullen (Gail), Michelle Quinn (Kurt) and Christopher Smullen; two grandchildren, Allison-Rae Smullen and Laura Smullen; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, also by a sister, Virginia Morrison; and a brother, Vernon Richardson.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville. The Rev. Donald Czelusniak will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown.

Obituary Preview: Clarence Oarr, formerly of St. Johnsville NY, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Nathan Littauer Rehabilitation Center, Gloversville, NY. Clarence was born in Amsterdam October 8, 1923 to Ethel Emma Huhn and Clarence Oarr, Sr. He spent the first ten years of his life living and attending school in Ft. Johnson, NY.
In 1933, he moved with his parents to a home his father built on Howlan Street in Tribes Hill. He attended school there as well as Amsterdam, graduating from Wilbur H. Lynch High School at age 15 in 1939.He had a flair for both sports and journalism, and was the sports editor of the Albany Teacher's College newspaper from 1940-1942. While attending Albany's Teacher's College, he enlisted in the Army at the outbreak of WWII. He was stationed to guard the Panama Canal from invaders, and completed his education after he mustered out in 1945. Clarence was an educator, obtaining a teaching degree in secondary science and first taught in Woodridge, Green County, NY. During the summer, he was frequently seen driving his vegetable cart in the Westerlo, NY area. For a decade, he worked at the New York State Employment office on Guy Park Avenue in Amsterdam, as well as Miles Shoe Store in Amsterdam. He was involved in the Tribes Hill Boy Scout program as a leader, the
Tribes Hill Little League as a coach and was a member of the Tribes Hill Villagers Club as well as the Ft. Johnson Firemen's Minstrel Group. He served as choir director at one time at the Tribes Hill Presbyterian Church. In 1961, he completed his master's degree at Syracuse University in Guidance and Administration and began a new career as a guidance counselor at both Oppenheim and Perth Central School Districts. In 1964, he became the guidance director at St. Johnsville Central School where he was employed until his retirement in 1983.
Clarence was an avid reader, chess player, golfer and bowler. In 1993, he won first place in both bowling and golf, representing the State of New York in the Senior Olympics held in San Antonio Texas. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing bridge.
He married Norma Alberta Smith in Ft. Johnson in 1944. They enjoyed a life long marriage until her death in 1993. He is survived by two sons, Brian (Judy) Oarr of Las Vegas, Nevada and Stephen (Patty) Oarr of Gloversville, NY (With whom he made his home until recently); two daughters, Kathleen E. Smith, Asheville NC and Christine Oarr (Gordon) Eggleston, Fort Plain. Clarence had eleven grandchildren, Peter Oboyski, Gavin Eggleston, Erica Oarr Duchette, Matthew Eggleston, Patrick Oarr, Jordan Oarr (Peter) Carta, Katie Oarr, Adam Oarr, Christopher Oarr, and Andrew Oarr. And one great grandchild, Brett Skeliski.

Survivors include her husband Mike; her children, Evelyn (Mel) Dopp and Francis (Lisa) Oliver; two step- sons, Scott (Darci) Bates and Michael (Cindy) Bates; eight siblings, Malvina Ward, Orletta (John) LaVada, Sharon Fosmire, Linda (Joe) Sweet, Renee Manzer, Valerie (Butch) Van Avery, Velice (Lew) Decker, Michael (Pam) Palmer; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Born and educated in Gloversville, Robert was the son of Eleanor Rhinehart and Richard Bohowicz, both now deceased. He was a 1961 graduate of Gloversville High School and served his country proudly in the Navy from 1962 until 1966.
Bob and his mother Eleanor operated the Magic Lantern Bar and Grill on W. Fulton Street in Gloversville for over 25 years. He was later retired from N.A. Taylor in Gloversville.
He was a dedicated friend and pet-lover who loved his wives and their families. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Marilyn Manzer Rhinehart, and her family. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hollis Rhinehart, whom he married April 11, 2015 by Rev. Jerry Oliver and Rev. Donald Czelusniak of Holy Trinity Church. Robert is also survived by his sister-in-law, Roseanne Hollis Courter and Kevin Courter of Colonie, and their family Kevin and Ilenia Barrett of Huntington, Long Island. He is also survived by his three children, Robert of Perth and Daniel and Michele of Gloversville, as well as very special family of the late wife Marilyn, Paul and Betty Lou Eddy of Averill Park and their children Philip, Sarah and David Harris and Alicia Eddy and their children.
He was an avid Jet fan as well as Golden State Warriors supporter.
Bob was a pillar of the community and could be seen having breakfast daily at local restaurants and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed Sunday dinners at CP's in Hagaman and the Edinburg Diner.
He was a member of the Nick Stoner Senior Club in Caroga Lake as well as a member of the Gloversville Lions Club.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church, 205 Glebe St; Johnstown. The Rev. Chris Welch will be the celebrant.
