She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Beverly received her education at both Giles County High and Jones High School in Lynnville. She was Baptized by Jimmy Thomas at Odd Fellows Hall Church of Christ and was a member of the Lynnville Church of Christ. She was retired from General Electric in Columbia.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 Thursday, October 1st, 2020, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Friday, October 2nd, 2020, in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home with Bro. Milton Stevens officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lynnwood Cemetery.

Aubrey Dean Archer - September 10, 1934 - September 29, 2020

Obituary Preview: Aubrey Dean Archer of Pulaski passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center. He was born in Pulaski, TN on September 10, 1934 and was 86 years old.
Aubrey was born during the Great Depression to parents who made their living working on dairy farms in Tennessee and Florida. Aubrey was a rambunctious child who loved to joke and cause trouble with his aunts and uncles. He was the boisterous child of the family.
While living in Florida in 1951 at 17 years old. Aubrey joined the US Navy as a Ship Serviceman and served aboard a destroyer as well as the USS Oriskany (CVN 34) in the western Pacific and the South China Sea during the Korean War. He visited Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, and many other Asian Pacific countries during his tour. Aubrey spoke of these deployments often and his time in the Navy became a very important part of his life.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1955, Aubrey transitioned to active reserves. Later he started a family and worked in dairy farms with his father and brother in Florida, Nevada, and Pulaski Tennessee. During this time, he maintained he continued in the Navy Reserves and in 1968-1969 he deployed to Vietnam with the Mobile Construction Battalion 22 (MCB 22).
In 1972 Aubrey returned to active duty as a Navy recruiter in Reno NV, continuing that period of Navy service for the next 15 years in Nevada, California and Alabama. As a recruiter he gave hundreds of young men of America a start in the greatest Navy on Earth. These years were the proudest moments of his professional life. He retired from the United States Navy in 1987 having completed 32 years on Active Duty.
Aubrey came back home to Pulaski with his wife Isabelle in the mid 80s where they ultimately retired and became cattle farmers. Situated in the Campbellsville area of Giles county, the farm became a family beacon where he taught his sons about farming and hard work. As years followed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren would be drawn to the farm from all across the U.S. to live, work, explore, and learn about farming and family.
The “Farm” is his legacy. It’s a place where all his descendants look to as home. It’s a place that keeps them together even though they are spread across the US and the world sometimes. His presence will be missed but it will always be felt in the rolling hills in a little corner of Giles County Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory Burial will follow in Giles Memory Gardens
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Preston and Allie Mae Boone Archer, brother, Junic “Dick” Wade Archer, sister, Helen Bonds, and grandson, Charles Stuart Marsh. He worked as a correctional officer in Hickman County where he later became employed as a deputy for the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department. Thomas had quick wit and a great smile and was a very loving person. He enjoyed playing video games with his friends and spending time with his family. He thought of the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department as a part of his own family.

Stephen worked for many years with his father at the family business of Rainbow Marble Co. He enjoyed his boats and his truck and the time he spent in southern Tennessee with his mother’s family. He was a member of the Gideons and of the Baptist faith. He loved plants and was a fantastic gardener. Sherman loved running, Alabama Football, loved history, and was an avid reader. He also cherished his family and his beloved dog Max.

Obituary Preview: Dr. Gari Lee Lynn of Pulaski passed away Tuesday morning, September 8, 2020, at his home in Giles County. He was born on February 7, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana and was 72 years old.
Gary received his Bachelor’s Degree in Government and History from Indiana University in 1969 and his Doctorate in Adult Supervision from Tennessee State University in 1992. He taught 41 years in the Lawrence County School System. He made many good friends and associates and wanted to thank everyone who worked with him to help the students succeed.
Gari was a member of the Second Street Church of Christ, former President of the Lawrenceburg Lions Club, former President of the Lawrence County Retired Teachers and a member of the Lawrence County Historical Society. Along with Juanita Henson and John Sledge they started the Knowledge Bowl in Lawrenceburg in which is still an important part of the Lawrence County School System after 36 years. He was an avid ballroom dancer displaying his skills in many competitions including Vienna, Austria in February of 2020.He was also an avid sports fan where he followed the Cubs, Titans, UT Vols, and the Preds. But above all his favorite teams were any team that his grandkids played on. Those were his favorite athletes. Words from Gari, “I want to give many thanks to friends and family of Giles and Lawrence County that have made my life so enjoyable and richly rewarding”.
Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home.

Frank was born March 2, 1937 in Bunker Hill, TN to Sarah Louise Adcock Marks and William Henry Marks. He graduated from Giles County High School in 1956 and enlisted and served as a proud member of the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.
He took pride in his work in insurance sales and later retired to drive a school bus for Giles County Schools for many years, retiring from that job in 2019.
Frank was very involved in sports and athletics as a player, coach, umpire and referee. He was a member of TSSA and Babe Ruth and Little League Baseball associations. His love for The Tennessee Volunteers football team, and all things orange and white was immeasurable!
Frank was known and loved by everyone who knew him. His quick wit, infectious grin and kind and compassionate spirit were legendary, just as his storytelling capabilities. He loved his family and friends unconditionally and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Kevin) Marks Lozon of Hernando, MS; sos Mitchell (Sandy) R, Childress of Memphis, TN; Michael D. Childress of Memphis, TN; and Malcolm (Laura) B. Childress of San Anselmo, CA, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr Marks was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Louise and William Henry Marks; daughter Kelley Marks Jaquess; sister Maxia Ann Marks Minatra, and sister Betty Louise Marks Walke.

Elder Waddle was known as Buddy or little Benny Jr, Baby Brother, or Pastor. Elder Waddle professed hope in Christ in 1940 and joined St. Andrew P.B Church under the leadership of Elder W.M. Holden. Elder Waddle was called to preach the gospel in 1962 and was licensed in 1964 and was ordained in 1965. Elder Waddle was assistant Pastor at Bethlehem P.B. Church under the leadership of Elder Will Eddie Olds. Elder Waddle became the Pastor of Mt. Zion P.B. Church. In 1980 he became the pastor of St. Rebecca P.B. Church in Pulaski, TN for the first time. In 1984 he was joined in holy matrimony to Lois Ann Bridgeforth and moved to Pulaski, TN. In 1986 God saw fit to send him to Jerusalem P.B. Church to assist Elder Robert Holman until his passing following that he returned to St, Andrew P.B. Church as an associate Minister. In 2004 he was called back to St Rebecca P.B. Church in Pulaski, TN where he still remained as Pastor until God called him home. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28th at 11:00am until 12:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory
Visitation will also be held on Sunday, August 30th from 10:00am until 12:00pm at St. Andrew Primitive Baptist Church in Madison, AL with a graveside service following at Royal Cemetery.
