She was active in her church and served in different church organizations. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waino Richard Progen; mother, Rachel Craig Martin Kelley; son-in-law, Michael Pelley; as well as her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Pelley of Austell and Brenda Wrixon (Ken); five grandchildren, Derek Pelley, Jonathan Pelley, Stacy Smith (Todd), Craig Wrixon (Carrie), and Megan Wrixon; six great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 at 12:00pm from Paulding Memorial Gardens with Bishop Philip Kelly officiating. Interment to follow at the cemetery.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 5, 2022, at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

Melanie will be leaving behind 3 life long friends. Catherine, Jamie, and Jennifer. They may have been friends but they were more like sisters. She loved them more than life. Along with her children and loving husband. She loved cooking and having family and friends over to her home to share good laughs and good food. She was an amazing cook, and loved to put big meals together. She also loved her animals more than anything. From a child in to adulthood she always had a companion in one of her many loved animals. She did not need a lot just family, friends, and love.
Survivors include her husband, William "Jeff" Maness of Dallas; daughter, Kristin Galloway (Hunter) of Dallas; three sons, Chase Maness of Dallas, Brandon Morgan (Sarah) of Dalton, and William Maness (Allie) of Douglasville; parents, Sammy "Jabo" Carter and Sherron Curfman Carter of Dallas; sister, Shannon Carter of New Hope; brother, Jeremy Carter of New Hope; two grandchildren, Aubrey Morgan and Olivia Maness.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Forrister officiating. Mrs. Maness will be cremated following the funeral service.

Mr. Clark, who was affectionately known as "Papa Jim" by his friends and family, was born on April 25, 1937 in Brunswick, GA to the late Mr. Robert Lee Clark Jr. and the late Mrs. Mamie Lucille Drury Clark. Jim proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He earned a purple heart and was a Vietnam Vet. He was a member of Bartlett #139 in Hiram and John Sayles #1408 of Abeline, TX. He was an honorary member of Springville #153 in Powder Springs. He was a member of the Paulding Shrine Club, Yaarab Shrine in Atlanta, and entered into the Egypt Temple lodge in Tampa, FL in 1982. He was also a member of Scottish Rite in Memphis, TN. He was of Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Lee Clark III and Edward Earl Clark; sister, Betty Jean Greene.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Clark of Dallas; two daughters, Becky Lynn McDonough of Hiram and Lucinda Ann Williams (Craig) of Kennesaw; son, Bryan Alan Clark of Hiram; four grandchildren, Melissa Contreras, Mackenzie McMath (Sam), Mitchell Williams, and Maddox Williams; three great-grandchildren, Emma Cait Contreras, Amalia Grace Contreras, and Lilianna Reece Contreras; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10:00am from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home located at 3551 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway Hiram, GA 30141 with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery located at 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr. Canton, GA 30114 at 1:00pm. Please be at the cemetery by 12:45pm.

He is survived by his stepmother Georgia Morris; brother Charles M Morris (Lynn); brother Tom Shackleford (Ella); brother Tony Shackleford; sister Dee Exler; brother Jack Morris; and numerous nephews and nieces plus an extended family of friends from Virginia and Tennessee to Louisiana.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo McCagh Hamer and his daughter, Marlene Stevens.
