Joe was a proud Vietnam Veteran who loved to read and listen to a good Rock & Roll or Blues album. He always looked forward to the season of fresh Jersey produce.  Joe was a big sports fan, especially when it came to routing for the Phillies, Eagles or Yankees. Some of his best memories were his daily life experience talks with his daughter or coaching his sons in baseball, basketball and soccer. Passing on his knowledge and love of these sports to his grandchildren always put a smile on his face. But most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than when our family was together.

Obituary Preview: Maximo Santiago, Jr., 78, of Williamstown, N.J., passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Anne P. Santiago.  Devoted father of Maximillian A. Santiago Sr. and his Fiancé, Nathalie L. Marchand.  Dear brother of Maria Mercado, the late Felix Santiago and late Cesar Santiago. Loving Grandfather of Maximillian A. Santiago Jr., Isabella A. Santiago and his grandson’s fiancé, Mary T. Whitman.
He came to Philadelphia with his mother and brother in the early 1950’s from the island of Puerto Rico, to be with his father.  He attended Saint Peter’s Catholic Grade School and then Thomas Edison High School.  Following his graduation from Thomas Edison High School and after being named to the City’s All-Public Team (Football), he was recruited to play football at Penn State University.  His college sports career ended due to a football related injury, so he left college to pursue a career in public service with the City of Philadelphia.  He married his High School Sweetheart in 1964.  He later attended Temple University and was granted a Master of Science Degree from Lincoln University with a concentration in Sociology in 1988.  Maximo Santiago Jr. served the City of Philadelphia for over 32 years beginning in 1966 with the Department of Licensing and Inspection and completing his Civil Service career in 1998 as the Director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, Central Intake and Fair Housing Unit.  During his long tenure with the Human Relations Commission (1975-1998), his primary area of responsibility was as the Supervisor of the Hispanic Outreach office in North Philadelphia as he was appointed to this position by the then Mayor of Philadelphia, Frank L. Rizzo in 1975.  During his tenure in this role, he received many awards and was named Employee of the Year.  He helped many people in this capacity and his work was well respected in the city’s Latino Community.  He was also licensed as a Real Estate Agent in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 1971 and actively participated in this field as a hobby for many years.  He was a self- taught sailor and competed at a very high level in yachting competitions with his son Maximillian in the Somers Point, NJ region from 1977-1988.
Following his retirement from active public service, he continued to enjoy traveling with his wife Mary Anne of 57 years until her death in 2021.  He was an avid sports fan and loved his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.  He kept busy by helping to care for his grandchildren, participating in their activities to include Scouting with his grandson and Ice Skating competitions with his granddaughter. His personality was larger than life and he could captivate people with his story telling capabilities. He was an avid history buff, who enjoyed endless hours of discussions about Military History and Politics.  He loved the New Jersey Shore and sitting on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey watching people and enjoying a slice of pizza with his wife Mary Anne.  His contributions to his family will remain his legacy.  He went to join his wife and the Lord with the knowledge that his grandson would be completing his Law Degree at Villanova University in May of 2022 and his marriage to Mary T. Whitman in October 2022. “We will miss you Pop”

Kenneth E. Richardson - July 31, 1969 - March 22, 2022

Obituary Preview: Kenneth Edward Richardson of Williamstown, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital, Washington Twp, NJ with his devoted wife Shara and son Kenneth, at his side.
Kenneth was born on July 31,1969 at Presbyterian/United Hospital (Newark, NJ) to Willie and Brenda Richardson.  He was the second oldest of their three children.
Kenneth attended multiple schools within the Newark school system. They included: Muhammad University of Islam School, Avon Avenue Elementary School (where he skipped the 3rd grade), Project Link Middle School, Seton Hall University for their Upper Bound Program before graduating from Science High School.
Kenneth continued his education and attended William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ.
Kenneth began his career at Verizon right after college and was employed with them for over 30 years.  First, in Operative Services (Union, NJ), Supply Attendant, (Piscataway, NJ), Repair Service Clerk, (Paterson, NJ), and Network Technician, (Newark, Mt. Laurel, Robbinsville and most recently Ocean View, NJ).
Kenneth was a dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – Local 827.  He attended countless Union meetings, picket lines, and respected all Strikes during contract negotiations.
Kenneth was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend.  Kenneth had a sense of humor that lit up any room.  He loved coaching and attending all his son’s sports.  He was also an active Board Member of the Monroe Township Youth Basketball League and loved helping and giving back to the community in any way he could.  Also, Kenneth and Shara have been Foster Parents for over 10 years nurturing, loving and caring for dozens of children in their home.
Kenneth loved music and in his spare time would DJ parties, backyard barbeques and weddings for fun.  DJ’ing was something he started in college to make extra money.
Kenneth was a hard-working man, often working overtime and holidays to support his family with anything they needed or wanted.
Kenneth was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia 76’ers fan and would attend as many games as he could.
In addition to his lovely wife of 15 years Shara and son Kenneth (Gregory), he is survived by his father and mother, Willie and Brenda Richardson of Toms River, NJ; his sister/brother-in-law – Mrs. Sonya Goodrich Richardson (Shadeed) of Sayreville, NJ;  his brother - Mr. Waleed Richardson of Newark, NJ; his mother-in-law – Gwendolyn Gregory of Hillside, NJ, and two brother-in-law's – Jason Gregory of East Orange, NJ and Mark Tenson of Hillside, NJ and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenny/Dad – You are gone, but thank you for all those soft, sweet memories you left behind.  In our home, in our heads, and in our hearts! Love you always, Your Wife and Son.

Paul was married too his high school sweetheart for 42 years before her passing in 2019.
Beloved husband of the late Dolores (nee McGaha). Devoted father of Paul (Stefanie) Garofolo and Jennifer Garofolo (Micheal Fransko). Dear brother of Carmen (Joan) Garofolo, Dominic (the late Catherine) (Mary) Garofolo, Joseph (the late Joyce) Garofolo, Antoinette (Ralph) Brown, the late Rose (John) Fierick and the late Patricia Pike. Loving grandfather of Dominick and Franco.
After graduating from Delsea high school in 1974, Paul went to work for the Corwonski Brothers at Highland Dairy which later changed to Highland Carpet. Paul was a devoted worker there for 50 years. When Paul wasn’t working at Highland, he was installing rugs on the side or working on the family farm. When Paul had free time which was not very often, he enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons. They enjoyed riding dirt bikes, fixing up Paul’s old dirt bike, skiing, hunting and teaching them how to work with their hands. Paul also looked forward to his Friday night dinner with his daughter. Paul made friends no matter where he went. Paul was one of the kindest and hardworking man you would know.

Obituary Preview: Ted Benjamin Stanton Sr., age 61, passed away on February 24, 2022, at AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs. Born in Camden NJ, he was the son of Shirley and Edward Stanton. He was employed by TriCity Electric where he worked as an electrician for 22 years, eventually climbing to the rank of general superintendent. “Papa” enjoyed spending time with friends, family, “family”, and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, being a child himself at heart. He is survived by his parents, Shirley and Ted; siblings, Laurie and Michael; kids, Cheryl and Ted Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Jaclynn; his grandchildren, Nathan, Chase, and Angelina; countless friends and unofficial family, and his adopted cat, Meow-Meow. He was predeceased by his brother Steven. Ted will be remembered for many things including his infectious smile, never ending humor, genuine caring, and always going out of the way for anyone at any time. He was not only a father to his family, but a father to many of his friends and coworkers. This first memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5th at Osceola Memory Gardens located at 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road.  The viewing will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Emma married her beloved husband Frank J. Fortino, July 24, 1948 in her childhood parish Sacred Heart in Riverton, and they were married for 53 years until Frank’s death in 2001.  They lived in Cinnaminson for over 35 years.  She was a school bus driver there for over 20 years.
Emma was an avid bowler.  She was also an exceptional cook.  She had a green thumb which showed in her many houseplants, rose bushes and her summer vegetable gardens.  She loved the outdoors, especially the beach.  She and Frank retired to Port St. Lucie, FL and Long Beach Island, NJ where she enjoyed crabbing, clamming and fishing.  They later moved to Tabernacle NJ, and finally to Williamstown for the final 21 years of her life.
She was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Frank, her parents Alfonso and Rosa (nee Licursi), her older brothers Samuel DeVece (Josephine) and Alfred DeVece (Jane) and her baby sister Theresa DeVece Snyder (Frank).
Devoted mother of Rosemary (Joseph Sr.) Genova, Michael Fortino and Francis Fortino.  Loving grandmother of Angela Novak (Anthony), Michelle Hozalski (Joseph) and Joseph Genova Jr. (Jennifer).  Loving great grandmother of Anthony & Nicholas Novak, Joseph & Michael Hozalski & Isabella & Joseph Genova.  Dear sister of William DeVece (Anne) and Carmen DeVece (Marie).  Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Julia fondly known as “Big Julie from Glen Oaks” was small in stature yet everything about her was larger than life. Julia was an active and proud board member for the Hider Lane Senior Club.  She enjoyed competitive bowling and poker games.  Later in life, she could be found watching action movies and drinking chocolate milkshakes. Julia could solve cryptograms like nobody’s business.  Julia was a hard worker, pillar of strength and a passionate mother.  She never wavered in her support or love for her family, especially her son and grandsons. Julia loved fiercely and deeply we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace.
Julia is survived by her beloved son, Michael (Nicole) Russell and her adored grandchildren Michael, Marc, Tyler and Gucci. She is survived by her dear brother, Philip Verticelli and many loving nieces and nephews.  Julia will be missed by her friends that have become family at the Hider Lane Senior Club.
Julia was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Catherine Verticelli, her sister, Louise, her brother, Russell, her sister, Jennie and her loving companion, Tulio Deliberali.

Born in Southwest Philadelphia, he grew up as the oldest of eleven children in St. Barnabas Parish and was a West Catholic School graduate. He served his country during the Vietnam War (1967-68), wedding his beloved Margie soon after his return. They celebrated 53 years of marriage together. Jack co-founded Coastal Land Contractors in southern New Jersey in partnership with Bill Rumpp, with whom he worked for over 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Agnes Mohr (nee Koch), his sisters Julia Jeffers, Jane Werndl, and Carol Crossley, and his brothers-in-law Thomas Jeffers, John Gray, and Jerry Werndl.
Jack enjoyed making frequent trips to Cape May and spending long weekends at his favorite place – a cabin at Lake in the Wood campground in Lancaster County, PA. He called it his “little bit of Heaven.” He was an avid reader and lover of nature. Jack was also an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and served as a lector for many years.
He was a beloved husband of Margaret (nee James), father of J. Christopher Mohr (Andrea) and Kevin Mohr (Veronica), and grandfather of Victoria, Alexandra, Fiona, and Damian Mohr. In addition, he is survived by his siblings Maryann Hanna (John), James Mohr, William Mohr (Marianne), Robert Mohr (Rosemary), Thomas Mohr (Diane), Claire Gray, Michael Mohr, and brother-in-law, Warren Crossley, Sr, as well as by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
