Mary was born September 22, 1952 in De Kalb, Texas to Clayburn “Cowboy” and Ann Garretson. After receiving her GED, she began her 25 year career as a caring and loving provider. Along with devoting her life to helping others, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. Mary was a kind, gentle soul who loved her family and friends with all her heart. She had a lively spirit that always left you with a smile. She will always be loved and missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Earl Garretson.
She is survived by one sister, Delores Welch of New Boston, Texas; one brother, Ben Garretson of New Boston, Texas; three nieces, Stephanie Welch of New Boston, Texas, Rosemary Phillips of Atlanta, Texas, and Kathy Garcia and her husband, Jacob of Corpus Christi, Texas; one nephew, Michael Garretson and his wife, Sara of New Boston, Texas; three great nieces, Kaela Phillips of Atlanta, Texas, Lauryn Phillips of Atlanta, Texas, and Josey Kate Garretson of New Boston, Texas; three great nephews, Jacob Logan Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dylan Phillips of Atlanta, Texas, and Stoker Garretson of New Boston, Texas; one special aunt, Ruby Notley of Terrel, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Born April 7, 1932, Simms, Texas.
Passed on to her resurrection promise April 25, 2024.
Fay, lovingly called “Punk”, was born to William Richie Bostian and Illie Bethel West.
Her father was born in Mississippi and was sixty-two years old at Fay’s birth.
Her mother was born on the Red River County Indian Reservation and was thirty years of age when she gave birth to Fay. Fay is preceded in death by her parents and her eleven older siblings which survived infancy-
George, Lilly, Fanny, Viola, Onie, Omie, Virginia (“Bob”), Lewis, William, Ferrell (“Sonny Boy”), and Mary.
Ella Fay never left the state of Texas until 18 years old. She met Marvin Bennett Hunt in Dallas, Texas and married him at the Miller County Courthouse, Arkansas on April 25, 1951. They lived in South Carolina, Colorado, California, and Oregon. Marvin preceded her in death on February 21, 2004.
Fay’s wish was to die on the same piece of property she had been born. This wish was realized on the 73rd anniversary of her marriage to Marvin. Together Fay and Marvin birthed three children-
Laura J Pierce (1955, Redwood City, CA), Lewis William “Bill” Hunt (1957, Redwood City, CA), and Linda Maurine Estavillo (1960, Portland, OR). The children’s spouses respectively: Jerry A Pierce (1982), Alex Stiner (2001), and David Estavillo (1998). Her grandchildren:
Born to Laura-Faith Merritt Pierce-Gooding (husband, Rob, deceased), Evan Garrett Pierce (wife, Vanessa) and two adopted great grandsons (Asea, and Kyland), Aura Pierce Ray (husband, Corby) with two great grandsons (Noah and Leslie), and Nathan Pierce.
Born to Linda- Jessica Marie VanderVeen, Amber Ray Fortune (Drew) and James Lane (great grandson- James Ezra).
Immediately after graduation from James Bowie High, Fay worked in Dallas as a yearbook and thesis proofreader. After moving to Oregon, she spent thirty years working for General Telephone as a repair dispatcher. She also sold Avon, Tupperware, and Home Interiors.
Fay was a church planter and founding member of First Southern Baptist of Beaverton, Oregon. She taught Sunday School, VBS, was President of the Women’s Missionary Union, and helped to start two other missions (Brookwood Baptist of Hillsboro and Liberty Baptist of Aloha).
Her other leadership roles were to serve as Secretary to the Hillsboro Ladies of the Elks, and Chairperson of the board of Upward Bound Camp.
Hobbies and activities of interest included collecting cups and saucers, crochet, quilting, photography, baking rum cakes, playing Mexican Train and Gin Rummy, traveling and going to the Casino.
Ella Fay leaves a legacy of a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, common sense and an open door of hospitality holding tight the philosophy that wealth is not measured in money but in relationships with others, family and friends. Her life was a model of Proverbs 31.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Monte Madsen officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.

Richard was born April 24, 1950 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Roland and Sybil Brown LeGuin. Richard was know as the “Pea Man” of Malta for growing and sharing his purple hull peas with friends and neighbors. He was a retired Correction Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. After retiring, he worked in the maintenance department of Malta ISD. Richard was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roland Stedman LeGuin, Jr.; and twin great grandchildren, Ashton and Scarlett Roberts.
He is survived by two daughters, Tina Reel of Malta, Texas and Lisa LeGuin of Malta, Texas; one stepson, Chris Neal and his wife, Charity of Conway, Arkansas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Jim Wise of Malta, Texas and Brenda and Fred Lewis of West Monroe, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, BreeAnna Lindsey and her fiancé, Jake Weathers, Emme Reel, Elle Reel, David Wayne Reel, Victoria Neal, Christa Neal, and Ben Neal; two great grandchildren, Noah Roberts and Olivia Lindsey; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Obituary Preview: “Richard” Lenard Edward Hullett passed from this earth peacefully at his home on April 9, 2024, at the age of 93.
Richard was born March 26, 1931, in Milan, Georgia to Claudie and Allen Hullett. He attended Thomas School in Telfair County, Georgia, and later served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, 46 Engineers, 967th Artillery. He was an engineer for Service Pipeline Company and Skelly Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 17 years. Richard was a Mason under the Delta Masonic Lodge in Tulsa, Oklahoma. One of Richard’s most well known contributions to the community was building Mr. H’s Convenience store with his wife, Virginia, in 1988.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Virginia Hullett; a half brother, Thomas Hullett; a half sister, Carrie Lou Rickman; and his aunt and uncle, Zadie and Henry Selph, who helped raise him.
Richard is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shelly Hullett and Terry Beck of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsons and their wives, Samuel David and Debi Ratliff of Claremore, Oklahoma and Michael Floyd and Lillie Ratliff of Claremore, Oklahoma; one stepdaughter and her husband, Debbie and Wade Shumake of De Kalb, Texas; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Glenda and Danny Campbell; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James “Coot” and Paula Barrett; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was a caretaker to extended family and friends and a mother figure to some. She opened up her home to family and friends and believed that if she had food to eat, that she could share it with another so no one would go hungry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth McGregor; a granddaughter, Meredith McGregor; two brothers, Larry and Dick Morrison; and a daughter-in-law, Kim McGregor.

He was a member of Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Janice Brazier; a son, Benny Lee Brazier, Jr.; a daughter, Gloria Ann Fowler; a brother, Darrell Ray Brazier; and an uncle, Luther Brazier.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Ward; one daughter, Debbie Tolliver; and one granddaughter, Ashtyn Roden; one sister, Hattie L. Houchin; and four brothers, John David McKenzie, Robert G. McKenzie, Buford M. McKenzie, and Buren A. McKenzie.
