She was raised and educated in Sudbury, MA. She had a happy childhood in the company of family and close friends, and she enjoyed a dozen childhood summers on Cape Cod where she and her brother, Peter, spent every waking minute at the beach. Judi was happy on the water throughout her life: she was as content paddling her kayak on Lake Sebago as she was fishing from her father’s boat in Buzzards Bay. In addition, she loved to hike the wooded trails in Maine and New Hampshire and run the dogs in winding, open fields. Oh how she loved those dogs. For most of her life, Judi threw herself into raising, training, showing, fostering, adopting, and transporting Vizslas. It was a labor of love and gave her both a focus and another way to use her talents and to give of herself. In addition, she was an active member of the Vizsla Club of Central New England, and a strong supporter of other national organizations, including, the Vizsla Rescue Haven in California, New Hope Vizsla Rescue, the Vizsla Club of Long Island, and a handful of others. Shirley Malley - February 25, 1954 - September 03, 2022

Departed: 09/03/2022 (Windham)
Obituary Preview: 2-25-54 to 9-3-22
Shirley fought a lengthy and courageous battle against COPD. She contracted COVID-19 at Fairhaven in Lowell, where she had been in hospice care for a short time. She was not able to conquer both aggressive diseases so Our Lord mercifully called her home. True to her good nature and loving heart, Shirley was more concerned with leaving her partner behind than by knowing she would soon be with the Angels.
Shirley was a long time resident of Lowell, MA. She was the beloved partner of Diane Muccioli. They enjoyed 31 happy years together. Devoted Shirley was right by Diane's side as Diane fought lymphoma and heart failure. And Diane was right by Shirley's side in her final hours.
Shirley was the daughter of Richard Malley and Rita Archambault of Pepperell, MA both deceased. She is survived by the Muccioli family, her Aunt Bonny, her brother Michael Malley, her partner Diane Muccioli, as well as many friends, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers Bobbie, Dickie, Dennis and Tom and her Uncle Lenny. Shirley was a retired Resident Manager at Heritage Properties in Lowell for many years. It was hard work but she never complained. She never said an unkind word about anyone and was generous with what little she had. She was a wonderful cook and loved to garden as well. She loved her Coca - Cola! She enjoyed watching Diane sing and shred guitar at local night clubs. She was always guaranteed to have the best seat in the house. They both enjoyed "roughing it" camping in their RV at Wyman's Beach. It was a rare day not to see Shirley flashing that beautiful
smile. She loved cats and squirrels. They kept her entertained for hours on end. She rescued and adopted several cats and she loved them all to old age having given them the best of care. She didn't lead a fancy life, but she found wealth in her family and friends. All of whom miss her dearly.
Shirley will always be remembered as a bright light that became a star in the sky where wishes are granted.
There will be a Celebration of Life brunch held in her honor at The Boat in Dracut, MA. All of Shirley's and Diane's family and friends are welcome! It will be on Saturday, September 24th from 12 to 3.
