She was born July 28, 1964 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of Thomas Cleary, and the late Dorothy Caseino Cleary Yacabucci. She married the late Erich Kotzbauer.
Kim graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1982.
In addition to her father Kim is survived by a sister, Joey Bloom, Clearfield, PA; two nephews, Noah T. and Isaac G. Bloom; niece, Eva Lynn Bloom. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and her husband Erich Kotzbauer,

Fredrick E. Housler - December 23, 1929 - April 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: Fredrick E. Housler, 92, of Rich Valley Rd., Emporium, PA passed away at his residence on Sunday afternoon (April 3, 2022). He was born December 23, 1929 in Emporium, PA a son of the late Merton Q. and Eva M. Edsel Housler. On June 22, 1957 in Driftwood he married the late Margaret Wennin Housler.
Mr. Housler graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1948. He served with the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Olkosky-Jessop Post 194, and a life member of the Miller-Raffaele Post 6221 VFW, Emporium, PA. Fred was a long time employee of Sylvania where he worked as a machinist and from where he retired as one of the last employees in the Emporium facility. Fred was an avid bowler and in his younger years could be found at the alley every Monday and Wednesday night where he bowled in the men’s league; and every other Saturday with his beloved wife Marge where they bowled in the mixed couples league. He always enjoyed a nice ride through the woods on the many country roads of Cameron County and tended his garden every summer, sharing its many fruits with friends and family.
Fred is survived by a daughter, Vickie (Chris) Kane, Syracuse, NY; son, Steven (Lisa) Housler, Emporium; daughter, Anita (David) Speece, Oil City; eight grandchildren: Julie, Lauren, Bryan, Darienn, Cali, Hannah, Christian and Ella; four great grandchildren: Hunter, Madelyn, Isla and Cormac; sister, Betty, (Herbert) Crosby, Emporium.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda in infancy.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday (April 8, 2022) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, officiating. A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail at the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA.  There will be a luncheon and celebration of life to follow at the Cameron County Vets club. David A. Hockey - July 29, 1961 - March 24, 2022

Obituary Preview: David A. Hockey, 60, of West Fourth Street, Emporium, PA formerly of Rochester and Watertown, NY and Conneaut, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday evening at his residence with his family by his side (March 24, 2022). He was born July 29, 1961 in Rochester, New York a son of Betty Wilson Hockey, Emporium and the late Harold Hockey. On June 2, 1984 in Rochester, NY he married Mary Ann F. DeFilippo Hockey, who survives him.
Dave was a graduate of Spencerport High School, in NY,  class of 1979. Dave was a lifelong follower of Jesus, having accepted Him into his heart at age four. He was an accomplished musician, having taught himself guitar, he played his entire life. He used his musical talents to minister to others, through Stand Strong Worship Band and Teen Challenge. He ministered at many family camps as a youth pastor and worship leader.
Dave was a man of many talents. His first job was with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department garage. He also worked for V.J. Stanley, Key Bank, Buckpitt and Co., Lifetime Assistance, Contact Technologies, Northwest Bank and Northern Tier. Dave’s true calling was as a pastor, and he was ordained through Calvary Ministries Inc., International in 2003. He went on to Pastor at Watertown Free Methodist Church, Watertown, NY, Conneaut FMC, Conneaut, Ohio, Girard FMC, Girard, PA, Beacon of Light Ministry Center, Watertown NY, Grace Covenant Church, Rochester, NY, Stand Strong Christian Ministry Center, Rochester, NY, and finally at Cameron County Christian Center, in Emporium. In addition to his mother and wife David is survived by two daughters, Ada D. Hockey, and Nicole J. Hockey, Emporium; two sisters, Karen Schultz (William), Zion, IL; Linda Salatino, Rochester, NY.and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Hockey.
Dave felt he and MaryAnn’s greatest accomplishment was the completing of their family, by adopting his two daughters, after faithfully praying for children for the first 28 years of their marriage. He truly loved being a father.  Through his ministry, Dave also gained an incredibly large group of youths, who are now adults, that viewed him as a brother and father figure. He was responsible for leading many of them to Christ.
Visitation will be at the Free Methodist Church, 240 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the church on Friday (April 1, 2022) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rock Pifer, Evangelist with the Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.

She also worked at Cameron Manufacturing as a quality inspector for several years. She is survived by a daughter, Shireen Sipe, Sinnamahoning; son, Dale Wood, Sinnamahoning; daughter, Michele Viola, New Cumberland, PA; four grandchildren: Erika Emerick, Alex Wood, Jeramie Sipe, Julie Sipe; seven great grandchildren; sister, Doris Mancini, Gettysburg, PA; three brothers, Lester Long, Rock Dale, Texas, Ronald Long, North Bend, PA, George Long, Westminster, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles B and Rose V. Zollars Long, a sister, Rose Ann Lookingbill and three brothers, Charles, Jack and Robert Long.

Jim graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1960. He joined the US Navy before becoming an over-the-road truck driver. He had been the caretaker of the Portage Township Cemetery for many years.
Jim is survived by a daughter, Dana Eckenroad Moore; three sons, William Eckenroad, Daniel Eckenroad, William Bailey (Diane); several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son, Dwayne Eckenroad. There will be No Visitation.
At his request there will be No Service Burial will be in the Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau, PA.

Judith G. Erskine - November 04, 1937 - March 15, 2022

Obituary Preview: Judith “Judy” Glasl Erskine passed away on the evening of Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the age of 84, at Guy & Mary Felt Manor in her beloved hometown of Emporium, PA. Judy was born on November 4, 1937, in Emporium to parents John and Florence “Honey” Glasl and was the third of six fabulous daughters. She was a graduate of Emporium High School's class of 1955, where she met her high school sweetheart, William "Bill" Montgomery Erskine. Bill and Judy got married on March 25, 1955, and together they raised three wonderful daughters.
Judy wore just about every professional hat Emporium had to offer. She worked at the former Warner Hotel, Ogden’s Drugstore, Sylvia’s, the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and was the very first employee at Luigi’s. She also owned and operated Judy’s Fashions, her boutique in Emporium. In the late 1960s, Judy had her own talk show on the local TV channel and volunteered as a co-chair for the Cameron County Division of March of Dimes. A devout Catholic her entire life, Judy was a proud member of St. Mark Catholic Church and served as a lector and Eucharistic minister.
Always staying active, Judy played softball, basketball and golf and was an avid bike rider, runner, walker and swimmer. She loved baking and was famous for her cinnamon rolls, which she would often deliver to workers she saw in town, refuse collectors, the state police and anyone who needed a lift in spirit. Judy loved playing cards (especially “canasty,” as her family nicknamed it) and had a unique affection for anything related to frogs. Her grandchildren remember her as being extra full of life, her great sense of humor and for being the silliest Grammy/Gigi in existence.
Judy is survived by her three daughters, Elaine Malizia, Lorraine Erskine-Dodds (Gerald) and Judy Erskine (George Brown); her six grandchildren, Carrie Pearsall (Shane), Jessica Lewis (Jason), Kimberlee Bryant (Jason), Kelsey Dodds (Scott Casale), Ryan Dodds (Meghan Sweeney) and Sophia Dodds; and 12 great-grandchildren, Corryn Pearsall, Kennedi Lewis, Jason Lewis, Anthony Bryant, Aydin Bryant, Asthin Bryant, Serena Casale, Joe Friga, Josh Friga, Ryder Brown, Camden Brown and Emmalyn Brown. Judy also leaves behind four sisters, Sally Perry (Gene), Rita Poorman (Bari), Eleanor “Ele” Mottern (Ed) and Stephanie Petty; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Sestina.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery in Emporium.

She was born January 13, 1954 in Philipsburg, PA a daughter of the late John L. and Norma A. (Wilsoncroft) Soltis, Sr. On May 27, 1972 in Morrisdale, PA she married David English, who survives.
Anna Marie graduated from West Branch Area High School, in the class of 1971. She retired, after more than 35 years at the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library in Emporium, where she started as a clerk and worked her way up to the librarian. She was involved as a Catechism teacher at Queen of the World Church, St. Mark Church and St. Agnes Catholic Churches. She was the president of the Cameron County Democratic Womens Committee and the president of the board of directors of the Keystone Rural Health Consortia for 20 years. She was also involved with Boy and Girl Scouts of America. She loved crocheting, painting, reading and music. Most of all she loved and adored her family.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Thaddeus D. English (Allison), Elizabeth City, NC; daughter, Carissa English-Bailey (PJ) Wellington, FL; mother-in-law, Ruth English, Clearfield; two grandchildren: Zander English and Lauren Waterfield; brother, John Soltis (Phyllis), Philipsburg; sister, Amy Locke (James), Hawk Run; brother and sister-in-law Deborah (Dave) Schoening of Morrisdale and John (Teresa) English of Santa Ynez, CA and several nieces and nephews. Anna held very special bonds with her nieces Danielle, Gwynn, Missy, Aly and Amanda. As well as her nephews Dustin, Benny and Gordy; a Godson Mckayen Johnson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gordon English; paternal grandparents, John and Mary Soltis, and maternal grandparents Margaret and Gordon Wilsoncroft.

Betsy loved living on Stoney Lick Farm. She loved her animals especially her dogs, Meeka and Sophie. She treasured the time she spent with her granddaughter Tasha and her cousin Pam. She was a member of the Driftwood Senior Center, Gilmore Cemetery Association, and the Sinnemahoning United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer member of the American Cancer Society.
Betsy is survived by a son, Scott Lepold, Sinnamahoning; daughter, Tracy Hardinger, Sinnamahoning; two grandchildren: Robert Tilburg, III and Tasha Hardinger; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Robert Tilburg, Jr.

On May 18, 1963 in St. Marys Church, Reynoldsville, PA he married Carole Bohren, who survives.
Ron graduated from Reynoldsville Winslow High School and attended Westminster and Penn State Universities. In 1965 Ron & Carole moved to Emporium where they made their home and Ron worked at Sylvania.  He was a plant engineer having worked many years for Carlisle Corporation at Motion Control in Ridgway and later working for GKN from where he retired. Ron was an avid shooter, a lifelong aviator and served over a decade on the Bradford Regional Airport Authority. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium.
In addition to his wife Carole, Ron is survived by a son, Brian Dankesreiter (Alicia), Wilcox; two grandchildren, Stella and Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Dankesreiter.

Lauren J. Songer - December 15, 1930 - February 21, 2022

Obituary Preview: Lauren J. Songer, 91, of West Fourth Street, Emporium, PA passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday morning, February 21, 2022. He was born December 15, 1930 in Bradford, PA a son of the late LaVerne and Anna Veroche Songer. On July 23, 1955 at St. Elizabeth Church, Smethport, PA he married Genevieve Placer.
Lauren served with the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a 1955 graduate from Penn State University and worked as an electrical engineer at Sylvania and Zippo Manufacturing. He was an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church and the Cameron County Little League. Lauren enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, but his greatest enjoyment was his family.
In addition to his wife Genevieve, Lauren is survived by his 7 children, Michael (Leslie) Songer, Stephen (Angela) Songer, John (Vicky) Songer, Kathleen (Scott) Kelly, Joseph (Kathleen) Songer, Colleen (Steven) Erickson, and Matthew (Erika) Songer. His 17 grandchildren, Kelly (Rick) Palaia, Taylor Songer, Corey Smith, Payton Bloom, Luke Songer, Erin (Justin) Schmitt, Jonathan (Mandy) Songer, Joseph (Tasha) Songer, Kevin Kelly, Stephen Kelly, Will Kelly, Jack Songer, Mary Katherine Songer, Michael Songer, Ruby Erickson, Daniel Erickson, and Greta Songer. His great grandchildren, Lilia, Roman, Kaelee, Logan, Elsie, Madeline, Benjamin, Evra, and expected baby boy. Also survived by his brother, George Songer and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Anna Veroche Songer.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA. Debra's father Joseph passed away when she was a young girl and her mother married William Sweet who helped raise her along with her mother. She was married to Ron Armstrong of Emporium, PA
She graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1969. After school she attended and graduated from beauty school in Olean, NY. She retired from GKN where she had worked for many years. Deborah enjoyed her children and grandchildren and one of her favorite things to do was to bake cookies with them and attend the many events that they happened to be involved in. She enjoyed watching crime scene shows on television, talking with friends and catching up on the many things going on in their lives. She was often referred to by her kids friends as “mom”.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Ramsey (Garrett), Emporium; son, Brent Armstrong (Stuart), Mary Ester, FL and two grandchildren: Evan and Kay.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step father, William Sweet.

He was born October 4, 1957 in St. Marys, PA a son of Harry Richard and Mary Jane Kamats Logue of Sinnamahoning. On October 11, 2020 at Sarah Jane's Studio in Emporium he married Tara Schwab Logue whom he affectionately referred to as “Babes".
He graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1975. He served with the Emporium Borough Police Department for a few years. He retired from Timet in Morgantown, PA where he worked for over 22 years. He attended the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, he served as an officer at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 368, Emporium, Sinnamahoning Sportsman Club and the Bucktail Rod and Gun Club. Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He mostly enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed many road-trips with his wife and dear friends Dean and Jen Weichman. He could fix anything and was a "jack of all trades".
Surviving in addition to his parents and his wife are two sons, Jeff (Ryan) Singer, Butler, PA; Kris (Sydney) Glover, Greenwood, AR; three daughters, Heidi (Brandon) Carr, Pittsburgh; Stevie Smith, St. Marys; Sunni Brooke, Emporium; one brother, Scott Logue, Sinnamahoning; three nieces: Heather, Selina and Ava; one nephew, Scott; great nephew, Jackson and several aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 1284 Sizerville Rd., Emporium, PA on Tuesday (February 15, 2022) from 11:00 AM-12:45 PM followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Lionel Owen, Pastor, officiating. A light luncheon will follow at the church after the funeral.

Delbert attended Cameron County High School. He worked in the coal mines when he was younger followed by many years on pipelines as a heavy equipment operator. He was most recently employed at Emporium Hardwoods in the log yard.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Delbert is survived by two daughters, April (Mike) Smith, Emporium; Melody (Dan) Shetler, Mt. Jewett; son, Delbert H. "Poke" Baney, III, Sinnamahoning; nine grandchildren: Tasha, Trae, Jay, John, Jolaina, Jess, Jude, Wesley and Dylan; one great granddaughter: Aspen; two sisters, Crystal Bushor and Donna (Randy) Burrows, both of Renovo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert H. and Alma Doris Embrick Barton; step-father, Charles Barton; daughter, Fawnia Baney; and a brother, Earl Baney.

After serving in the US Army, on the Galápagos Islands during World War II, he attended the University of Pittsburgh. Later Bill worked for the USDA, eventually entering into the ministry upon completion of his studies with the Episcopal Theological Seminary. Bill married Margaret Higdon, the love of his life, December 31, 1961 in Charleston, SC.
He is survived by his wife  of sixty years, Margaret; two sons, Robert "Bob" and his wife Doreen of York, SC and William "Bill" and his wife Lori Beth of Houston, TX and six grandchildren: Teresa Risher, Tonya Hamilton, Lloyd Fink, Alexandra Harris, Rhys Harris, and Rhiley Harris.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Harris and Mary Kelly; two sisters, Eileen Solomon and Jean Foreman; and brother, Robert Harris.
There will be no Visitation. Burial Service with Eucharist will be celebrated at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 144 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Canon Brian Reid officiating.

Kaylee is survived by three brothers, her twin brother Kaden and Shea and Ryan; paternal grandparents, Ed and Pam Hand, Emporium; and William (Diane) Hostetlar, Emporium; maternal grandparents, Rick and Dee Danner, Emporium; and aunts and uncles, Adam & Lisa Hostetlar and Billy (Amber) Hostetler.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday, (February 11, 2022) from 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM. In order to accommodate her many friends please keep condolences brief while attending.

She is survived by a son, Rodney "Andy" (Bonnie) Housler, St. Marys; daughter-in-law, Rexa Housler, Emporium; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Randy Housler; grandson, Giovanni Housler; six, brothers and three, sisters.
Private Family Service were held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA. There was no visitation. Burial was in the Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau, PA

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Rebo and a brother, Raymond Weisner.

Sarah is survived by two sons, Tom (Valerie) Werstler, Austin; Michael Lanphere, Emporium; one daughter, Christine (Norman) Lucas, Emporium; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brother, Roger Schweikart, St. Marys; sister, Myrtle Baker, Emporium; sister, Nancy Williams, Port Allegany; brother, David Schweikart, Bellevue, NE.

She was a supporter of the Cameron County Humane Society. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, playing cards and crocheting. Fran was proud of and loved her hometown of Emporium.
She is survived by her brother, Mahlon Ramarge and his wife Ann, Olean, NY and several nieces and nephews and a special friend Karen Alison.
In addition to her parents he was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Narby.

She grew up in Connellsville, PA and lived in several towns including Austin, Port Allegany, Roulette, PA as well as Olean, New York, Riverside, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. In the 1950’s she worked at Cutco Cutlery and in the 1970s she was a cross country truck driver. Mickey later worked in the cash office of the Silver Nugget Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. In her younger days she sang on the radio station in Coudersport, PA. She was a very good vocalist and she also enjoyed yodeling as well. Years ago Mickey drove race car in the Ladies Powderpuff series on the dirt track raceway in Roulette, PA. She enjoyed going shopping, wearing hats, eating See’s Candy and going out for dinner especially if it was for mexican food. She loved her cats Chewy and Jebediah and her late cat Tigger.
Mickey is survived by a son, Edward (Rose) Hosmer, Las Vegas; daughter-in-law, Teresa Hosmer, Las Vegas; grandson, Dennis Lee Hosmer, Las Vegas; nieces, Leona Hall, with whom she resided in Emporium and Lois Kepple, Sharon, PA.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Carl and Dennis Hosmer, four brothers, Leroy "Jake" Bowdish; William, John and Floyd Sherman; three sisters, Rachel Havens, Mary Kessler and Cora Mae Wolfanger. No visitation. Memorial service will be held at a later date

Linda was an independent woman with an exuberant laugh and quick wit. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Linda is survived by a sister, Martha Kay (Don) Sherry, Keating Summit and numerous nieces and nephews.
