Obituary Preview: Dubovecky - Mary Caroline, 98, of East Taylor Township went to be with the Lord on July 30, 2021. She was born on June 21, 1923 in Bedford County, PA, the daughter of the late Farrell F. Gochnour and Daisie P. (McCreary) Gochnour. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Nick Dubovecky, and infant granddaughter, Krista Nicole Dubovecky.
She is survived by five children: Vivian L. and husband , Bryant Durham, Warner Robins, GA, and their daughter Aura Lee Durham; Larry G. and wife, Sharon (Jones), Vinco, and their children, Michele Dubovecky Cookson (Dave) and Brian Dubovecky (Jaime) and their sons, Nick and Joseph Dubovecky; Bruce F. and wife, Cindy (Manly), Madison, OH, and their sons Eric Dubovecky (Christine) & David Dubovecky; Lt Col Barbara L. Dubovecky, USAF (retired), Plain City, UT; and Ronald O. and wife, Tarrie (Murray), Titusville, FL and their son Brett, and his daughter Mikala, and their son Aaron. Mary was a graduate of East Conemaugh High School. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. Mary was very proud that her husband and all her children served in the Armed Forces. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Her family greatly appreciates The Villa and their staff, especially Janiel, for the comfort, support, and care they gave Mary. A special thanks to Beth, Todd and family and also Keith for the years of love and assistance they gave Mary.

Obituary Preview: GUYAN---Ronald J., 82, Conemaugh, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021. Born November 27, 1938, in Johnstown, son of the late Andrew and Vera (Grove) Guyan. Preceded in death by, first wife, Sharon (Oshensky) Guyan, daughter-in-law, Kathy (Hartley) Guyan and second wife, Donna (Miller) Guyan. He is survived by his children Cynthia “Cindy” and husband John Rimoldi from Mississippi, Randy Guyan from Pittsburgh, Rich and wife Dana Guyan from Pittsburgh, Candace and husband William Oakes from Ohio, Steven and wife, Rosemary Martin from Ohio; and his grandchildren Christopher Guyan and fiancé Julia Martin, Anthony Rimoldi and wife Keeley, Nicholas Guyan and wife Amanda, Brandon Guyan and wife Leigh, Katie Guyan, Matthew Guyan, Cameron Guyan and Travis Williams. He is also survived by his siblings Andrew Guyan and wife Helen, Florida, Raymond Guyan and wife Gloria, Johnstown, Janet Biglin and husband Jim, Duncansville, Deb Harr and husband Rick, Johnstown; and he was a great uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ron was retired from Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a computer programmer, a career that he truly enjoyed. Ron was a US Army National Guard veteran. He retired with the 28th Infantry Division of the Army National Guard where he served in the tank battalion and as a military police officer. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and loved watching sports, especially Pittsburgh teams. He was active in the 28th Military Police Retired Association and previously served as treasurer of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member. You would always see Ron wearing one of his many baseball caps from his extensive collection. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday July 16, 2021 at Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First St., Conemaugh, and again from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Saturday July 17, 2021, with Chaplain Emily Hill officiating. Committal at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with graveside military rites by Menoher VFW Post #137. Ron was an avid supporter of many charities, and in that spirit the family suggests in lieu of flowers that you make a memorial donation to the Conemaugh Volunteer Fire Co., 333 First St., East Conemaugh, PA 15909 or a charity of your choice. To honor Ron during the visitation, we encourage you to come wearing your favorite baseball cap! Please no Ravens caps!!

Obituary Preview: Lynch Jr.– Michael D., “Puds”, 92, East Conemaugh, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2021. Born on October 6, 1928 in Franklin, son of Michael Sr. and Mary Lynch. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen “H.Y.” (Yewcic) Lynch; siblings, Joe, Jim, John, Bob, Bill, Ruth McCallister, Tina Standard, and Mary Sue Lynch. He is survived by his loving children, Kathy (Ron) Ling, Conemaugh, Denise (Mark) Grove, Elizabethtown, PA, and Mike III (Debbie) Lynch, Westmont; grandchildren, Aaron Ling, Michelle (Matthew) Griffin, Lee Anne (Kyle) Hable, Katie, Kristie, and Kara Lynch; great-grandchildren, Mark and Luke Griffin, and Asher and Brooks Hable; sisters-in-law, Ann Lynch and Kathleen Fabish, both of Westmont and several nieces and nephews. Mike was a graduate of Franklin High School. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII in Communications. Mike was a member of PA National Guard #628, Tank Battalion Medical Detachment. He retired after 31 years of service with the USPS serving from 1956-1987. He also served on Conemaugh Valley School Board for 8 years and 1 year as President; East Conemaugh Borough Council for 8 years and 4 years as President. Mike was instrumental in getting the East Conemaugh Post Office back after a 5-year absence. He served on Cambria County Redevelopment Authority for 4 years. Mike was a member of The Church of the Transfiguration. He enjoyed politics and watching TV, especially the Pirates and news shows. Mike loved his family dearly and will be missed by all. His family would like to thank Conemaugh Healthcare Nurses, the VA, Conemaugh Valley Regional Ambulance, Nurses from Transitional Care, and 9 Rose at Conemaugh Hospital. Also, a very special thank you from Mike and Denise and their families to Ron and Kathy for their tremendous care they gave dad for the past 13 years. Friends will be received from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. on Friday, at the Baker-Harris Funeral Chapel, 229-231 First Street, Conemaugh. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Transfiguration, Fr. Robert C. Hall, Pastor. Committal will be at Grandview Mausoleum with Military Rites conducted by Menoher Post #155 VFW, Ritual Team. The family suggests contributions be directed to the Church of the Transfiguration, 340 Second Street, Johnstown, PA 15909, in memory of Michael.
