Obituary Preview: Dorothy J. Lepage, 92, passed away on April 9, 2022, at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield. Dorothy was born on July 11, 1929 in Chicopee, MA to James and Bernadine (Keeler) Raper.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Providence Hospital for many years while also raising four children. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family most of all and was kind and generous in all that she did. Her life was always filled with friends and family.
She enjoyed 69 years of marriage to her husband, Roland A. Lepage, who predeceased her in 2017. Dorothy was also predeceased by her parents, her son Dean Lepage, and her two brothers, James and Jack Raper. She is survived by her loving daughters, Dale Lapointe and her husband Philip of Granville, with whom she lived, and Diane Bujnicki and her fiance Michael Riley of Lutz, FL, her loving son David Lepage and his wife Anne-Marie of Fulton, NY, her sister Pearl Vivier of Greenfield, MA, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Dorothy Raper of VT
The Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at  Our Lady of the Lake Church, 224 Sheep Pasture Rd, Southwick, MA. Burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.

BRUCE EMERSON PAGE - April 15, 1933 - April 09, 2022

Obituary Preview: SOUTHWICK- Bruce Emerson Page, 88 passed away peacefully on Saturday April 9,2022 at his home in Southwick Ma.
Bruce was born on April 15,1933 to Guy and Freda (Nichols) Page in East Charleston Vermont.
Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1950-1958. A veteran of the Korean Conflict. He settled in Southwick upon returning from his service and started Bruce’s Autobody with his brother Floyd “Stubby” Page. He later owned salvage yards in New York, Florida and lastly Bruce’s Inc in Southwick.
Bruce had no real hobbies. His hobby was his work. One of his latest achievements was building his 1995 GMC truck from the frame up. He was often spotted enjoying a leisurely Sunday drive around town, seven days a week. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family above all else.
Bruce is predeceased by his parents Guy and Freda Page.  His siblings Stanley Page, Kenneth Page, Andrew Page, Ronald Page, Floyd “Stubby” Page and sister Maxine (Page) Moulton.  His grandson Cody DaRosa.
Survivors include his wife Anita (Croteau) Page of Chicopee MA, Daughters Teresa DaRosa and her husband Karl Saunders of Southwick, MA, Lisa Cormier and her husband Shane Cormier of Plymouth, MA, step-sons Brian Lotane of Southwick and John Lotane and his wife Cynthia of Jacksonville, FL.  His grandchildren Jessica DaRosa, Lindsey DaRosa and her partner Sean Metz, Zachary and Dylan Cormier. His great-grandchildren Katalia and Lincoln Perez and baby Crosby Emerson Metz who is on the way.
His family would like to thank his caregivers and dear friends Lisa Owsiany and Nancy Muchmore for their love and support.

Barbara was born on May 12, 1934, in Westfield, MA to William Lent and Carolyn Elizabeth Lent (Saunders).
Barbara will be remembered for her active lifestyle. She was always on the go, off to her next project or successfully checking off the next item on her to-do list. Barbara was a talented piano player and an avid gardener who loved nature. She enjoyed sharing beautiful floral arrangements with her family and friends. She was a member of Southwick Congregational Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
Barbara volunteered for the past 10 years at the Agawam Senior Center. She dedicated her time 5 days a week, which was her greatest joy. She received an award from the Mayor of Agawam for her time and hard work.
Barbara is predeceased by her parents William and Carolyn Lent and her previous husband Elio Machietto whom she remained great friends with throughout her life.
Barbra leaves her sons Thomas Machietto of Southwick, MA and Mark Machietto and his wife Cheryl of Southwick, MA, her daughter Carole Machietto of Agawam, MA, her sister Betty Guess of Southwick MA, niece Lori Hotten and her husband Chuck Hooten, & nephew Michael Bryant of Southwick MA. grandchildren: Nathan and his wife Gail, Andrew and his wife Elizabeth, Rene Machietto, and Elaine Machietto, her great-grandchildren Brooks and Collins, along with many friends.

George was born on February 28, 1946, in Springfield, MA to the late Henry and Wanda Angell.  George grew up in Hazardville, CT, and lived his adult life in Southwick, MA
George proudly serviced his country in the US Army. George was a member of the Teamsters and worked for Hoods for 17 years.  He was an avid gardener with an admirable green thumb which he worked tirelessly in his yard from dawn to dusk.  In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and watching old westerns on TV.
In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his son George Angell Jr, his sister Eunice Jardine, and his brother Skip Angell.
He leaves his wife of 52 years Gaye Angell of Southwick, MA, his son Shawn Angell and his wife Dawn of Springfield, MA, a loving legacy of 3 granddaughters: Nadia, Sophia, and Olivia, grandson Ruslan, great-grandchild Willow,  his sister-in-law Judith Angell, along with many other family members and friends. Robert was born on April 17, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Chester Bentrewicz and Mary (Sito) Bentrewicz.
Robert worked as a carpenter for many years.  He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed playing cards and woodworking.  Robert was a member of the Westfield Gun Club where he enjoyed target shooting.
Robert enjoyed being a grandfather and spending as much time as possible with his 4 grandchildren.  He mastered many recipes he learned from his mother and took great pride in passing these family traditions down to his children.
He leaves his daughters: Patricia Richard of Westfield, MA, Grace Bentrewicz of Florida, Deborah Bentrewicz and Jeannine Bentrewicz; his sons Rich Bentrewicz and his wife Katherine Zavras-Bentrewicz of Northampton, MA, and Robert Bentrewicz, his grandchildren: Alena and Roma Bentrewicz and David and Lyssa Richard, along with many other family members and friends.
Other than his parents, Robert is predeceased by his brother Joseph Bentrewicz, and his sisters Irene D’Auria and Phyllis Cirillo. RICHARD M LEFEBVRE - Unknown - March 20, 2022

Obituary Preview: Richard M. Lefebvre, age 84, devoted husband of 62 years to Mary E. (Reader) Lefebvre was called safely Home on March 20, 2022.
Born in Willimansett Chicopee to Dora (Valliere) and Rene Lefebvre, Richard was predeceased by his sister, Claire McDevitt.
He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.  Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Debra (Rocklin, CA); son, Steven, and daughter-in-law, Linda (Feeding Hills, MA); three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Richard served our nation in the U.S. Navy at the Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island, and during the Lebanon Crisis as an aircraft mechanic aboard the carrier USS Wasp.  He went on to work for the Westfield Fire Department for 32 years in a variety of roles - as a Firefighter, EMT, trainer, equipment, and vehicle contract negotiator, and finally as the Superintendent of Vehicle Repair.
Richard was known to all as a hardworking and conscientious man who was quick to offer a smile and a helping hand.  He will be greatly and widely missed.
While only at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home for a short time, the family is extremely grateful for the exceptional and compassionate care that Richard received.

Kenny was born on September 15, 1956, in Kittanning, PA. He was the son of the late Harold and Mary Bernadette (Beno) Hawk.
Kenny leaves behind his daughter Courtney St. Peter, Courtney’s mother Joan Hawk, and his granddaughter Madison St. Peter, all of Westfield. His sister Lori Wingate of Westfield and brother-in-law Michael Meskevich of Russell. His nephews Tyler (wife Stephanie), Kyle and Jacob Wingate, and Ryan Meskevich. His niece Lane Rea (husband Ryan). His grand nephews and nieces, Connor, Tenley, Tessa Rea, and Owen Wingate. His very special Aunt Nancy Reynolds and several cousins in Cabot and Pittsburgh PA, along with his longtime friends and neighbors George and Judy Hallock of Russell.
Kenny graduated in 1974 from Gateway Regional High School, where he continued his love of baseball, being a four-year pitcher for Gateway. Upon graduating Kenny began his career working for several Paper Mills in the area including, Westfield River Paper Co. in Russell, Southworth Paper Co. in Turners Falls, Fox River Paper in Housatonic, and lastly as a Supervisor at Scheitzer-Mauduit International in Lee, MA.
Kenny was predeceased by his father Harold in 2007, his mother Mary Bernadett in 2013, his twin sister Cheryl Meskevich in April of 2020, and his two nephews, Jordan Meskevich in 1982 and Kevin Meskevich in 1993.
Services for Kenny will be private.

MARY RUTH LEONARD - March 10, 1928 - February 19, 2022

Obituary Preview: On Saturday morning, February 19, 2022, Mary Ruth (Wolters) Leonard, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 93.
Mary Ruth was born in Atchison, Kansas on March 10, 1928, to Al and Ruth (Severin) Wolters. In 1949 Mary Ruth married Lawrence A. Leonard in Kansas and after over a decade living around the country, settled down to raise her children, Mark, Debbie, and Greg, in Newton, Massachusetts in 1964. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston University in 1967 and 1968, then taught English literature at Framingham North High 1969-1993. She lived in Framingham for over forty years and was a member of St. Tarcisius parish.
Mary loved, and was cherished by, her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for bringing family and friends around the table for meals and social time. She was a life-long learner and lover of the arts, exploring music, theater, poetry, and literature. Mary was an ardent quilter, active in guilds, volunteering with MassQuilts documentation, lovingly making beautiful quilts for family, friends and for charity, and was celebrated for her craft.
Mary Ruth was preceded in death by brothers Frank and Tom and sister Patty. She is survived by her sisters Norma Jean, Nancy, and Susan; by her children Mark and Susan (So) Leonard, Debbie (Leonard) and Dave Lovejoy, and Greg Leonard; by her grandchildren Abraham Pierce and Jessica Rosario, Chris Leonard, Brian and Jessie (Bewsee) Leonard, and Stephanie Leonard; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Peter graduated from Suffield High School class of 1967.  He was a hard-working man and worked at Rockbestos Supernet for 35 years.
Peter loved being surrounded by nature.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, motorcycling as a young man, and boating.  He loved all animals.  Peter and his family owned horses through the years.  He enjoyed feeding and talking to the chipmunks, birds, and doves around his home.  Peter was a devoted husband and enjoyed spending time with his wife of 45 years, Rose Pinder at the gun range in Westfield.  Many fond memories revolve around horseback riding with his wife, Rose, and daughters Cheryl and Laura.
Peter was hailed as a hero by his family for saving the lives of his stepchildren and wife on 2 occasions.
Peter loved being a grandfather, he taught his grandkids how to fish and enjoyed taking them on boating and tubing adventures.
Peter is predeceased by his parents Ralph Pinder, Sr. and Pearl Pinder and his brother Ralph Pinder, Jr.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Rose Pinder of Southwick, MA, his stepdaughters Cheryl White-Duffy and her husband Robert Duffy of Westfield, MA, and Laura Irving of Jacksonville, FL, his grandchildren: Erica Paton and her husband Josh, Sarah Meunier, Heather Meunier, Antoinette Irving and David Irving and his wife Alejandra Sandoval Irving;  his great-grandchildren: Sage Paton-Hobbs, Madalyn Campbell, and Athena Paton, along with other family members and friends.

Obituary Preview: HENRY A. WERTELET, age 82, passed away peacefully at this home on February 2, 2022, after a long illness.
Henry was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Sarah (Wilson) and Henry C. Wertelet Sr.
Henry attended school in Pittsburgh, PA and at the age of 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Airforce and served 8 years. He served his first 4 years as an instrument technician in Strategic Air Command. Finishing his final 4 years in the computer field as a service tech at Radar Installations. After leaving the Airforce he worked as a service engineer for RCA, retiring in 2001 from Sperry Unisys. He had a small computer company called Spectrum Computer serving many businesses in the area.
Henry loved boating and enjoyed many years of camping on an island in the Connecticut River with his beloved grandson Will and friends.
Henry had an adventurous spirit.  He enjoyed white water rafting and attending air shows in Rhinebeck, NY where he took many rides in the antique planes. He followed sports, especially football, having played football in school. He loved his Goldwing motorcycle and rode for over 40 years. Henry became an honorary member of the Blue Knights and rode many escorts.
Other than his parents, Henry is predeceased by his daughter Melodie Rose Wertelet, and his brother Harry Wertelet.
Henry leaves his wife of 63 years, Rosemary (Lafond) Wertelet of Westfield, MA, his sons, William Wertelet of Blandford, MA, and Michael Wertelet of Westfield, MA, his daughter, Rebecca Paquette and her husband Anthony of Hamden, MA, his sister Mercedes Debor and her husband Dan of Pittsburgh, PA,  his granddaughter Christian Hathaway of St. Cloud, FL, his grandson William Wertelet of Gardner, MA, his great-granddaughter Amelia Wertelet of Barre, MA, his step-granddaughter Audrey Raposa of Barre, MA, and his sister-in-law Ruth Wertelet of Pittsburgh, PA along with other family members and friends.

Michael will be remembered for his warm smile and sense of humor.  He took great pride in his family and granddaughters. He enjoyed many friendships with his neighbors throughout the years. Michael was an animal lover who enjoyed his many family dogs and cats.
Michael is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dora Rickson, his two brothers John and Ernest Rickson, his mother and father-in-law Perry Stearns, Jr and Elizabeth Stearns.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years Susan E. Sandy is a graduate of Southwick Regional High School class of 1998. Sandy will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend not only to her family but the community she was a part of.  Sandy devoted her life to taking care of those around her, especially her husband and 3 children.   She earned an early education certification from Holyoke Community College.  Sandy had worked with children at the Little Red School House and Christ Lutheran Church in Southwick, MA.  She also provided eldercare and daycare services in Granby, CT
Sandy took great pride in caring for her family, her children were her greatest accomplishment.  In her spare time, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and friends, crafting, baking, and taking walks in nature.
Sandy is predeceased by her father Richard A. Pellegrini.  She leaves her husband Danny Bruce Lombardo,  her son Anthony, her 2 daughters Angelina and Abigail all of Westfield, MA, her mother Eunice I. Pellegrini, her brother Fred Pellegrini and his wife Amanda of Montgomery, MA, her sister Cheryl Mort and her husband Tom of Springfield, MA, along with many other family members and friends. Petee was born on June 24, 1970, in Saigon, Vietnam to Edwin W. Thomson and Nguyet (Hoang) Thomson.
Petee graduated with honors from West Springfield High School, Class of 1988.   He later earned a B.S. in Computer & Information Science in 2011 from Excelsior College.
Petee held several positions in the Information Technology field including at CIBA in East Hartford, Western New England University, and at Whip City Fiber.    He was often commended for his hard work, dedication, and love and support of his colleagues and clients.
Petee proudly served his country in the Massachusetts Air National Guard for 25 years. His last position there was as a manager for the 104th Fighter Wing Chaplain’s Office at Barnes AF from 2003-2014.  He received several awards and recognitions throughout his years of service.
Petee had a passion for Real Estate and dedicated his time to studying and applying what he learned.  He was an avid reader and debater.  In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming with his sons.  He was a follower of Jesus who was active for many years at First Baptist Church of West Springfield.  He especially loved being a youth leader and working with teens.
Petee is predeceased by his father, Edwin W. Thomson, and brother, Peter Thomson.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years Julie E. (Van Doren) Thomson of Westfield, MA along with their 2 sons Paul Thomson and Daniel Thomson, his mother Nguyet Thomson, his sister Paula Thomson of New York, NY, his brother William Thomson and his wife Elise of Simsbury, CT, and his nephew Timothy Thomson, along with many other family members and friends.

Obituary Preview: WEST SPRINGFIELD – Linda Joy Marsan, 80, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
Linda was born on September 14, 1941, in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph C Cordeira and Geraldine (Knickerbocker) Cordeira.
Linda’s greatest passion and accomplishment is her daughter, Gina.  Linda worked her early years in retail before turning her attention to raising her daughter and volunteering at Gina’s schools. She also spent many years caring for Amanda, who was like a second daughter to her. Amanda, now with a family of her own, still affectionately refers to Linda as Babysitter.
Linda enjoyed trips to the casino with her daughter and her sister Nancy, her multiple chats each day with Gina, and playing games on Facebook.  Linda also enjoyed watching her favorite TV show NCIS.  For years Linda, her family, and her friends joked that she would die during an episode of Days of Our Lives……..this joke came to fruition just as the famous voice spoke “We will  return for the second half of Days of Our Lives in just a moment.”  Linda loved spending time with her grand-dogs and feeding the squirrels outside her apartment.  Some would say the squirrels got so fat they looked like rabbits.
Linda is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Geraldine Cordeira and her brothers: Joseph Cordeira, Jim Cordeira, and Marty Cordeira.
Survivors include her daughter Gina Marsan and her partner Michael Thompson of Ludlow, MA. Gina’s dear friends, who are more like family and surrogate daughters to Linda. She also leaves her brothers: Ricky Cordeira, Donald Cordeira, and Robert Cordeira, her sisters: Nancy Forkey, Sally Weskosky, and Geraldine Schools, along with many nieces and nephews.
