Age 76 passed away peacefully Thursday February 8, 2024. He was a longtime resident of Romeoville, formerly of Chicago. Bill has been involved in automotive industry for many years, he was formerly a mechanic for Sears in Oakbrook and Chicago, later to retire in 2017 as a Tire Technician for Bridgestone in Woodridge. Bill was also a proud Ambassador for Makers Mark Bourbon since 2006.
He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Ludwig; children Will (Mary) Ludwig, and Corri Ludwig; brother Ken (Nancy) Ludwig; sister Laura (Mike) Rogers; grandson Shawn Givins; grand dogs Junior and Shadow, also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his father Harry Ludwig, also beginning with his birth mother Bessie Jilek, step-mother Charlene “Chuckie” Ludwig, and step-mother Gladys Ludwig, his sister Kathy (Joe) Lombardo and grand dog Capone.
Bill will be remembered for this sense of humor, mechanical and carpentry skills, barbecuing, seasonal pool closing, intelligent conversations and compassion for others.

He was born December 28, 1932 in Melrose Park, Illinois to the union of Joseph and Jennie (Inzinna) Zeno. On May 14, 1960 at St. Domitillo Church in Berkley, Illinois he marries Susan LaPaglia and the happy couple started their family. Jerry retired as an inspector at Electro-Motive Corporation (EMC), a subsidiary of GM. Long time member and usher at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Romeoville. Member of the Lockport Moose Lodge and the Little People of America (LPA). Jerry and his wife loved going out dancing every week, he loved playing the organ, piano, accordion and tried his hand in playing the guitar he even wrote a song for his wife. His favorite activity was going roller skating. Jerry was a people person always making others feel welcome and accepted, he had a joy for life, quick sense of humor and a soft shoe dance step which he would glide his way into your heart. His love and protection for his wife and daughter was a top priority for him, they were the loves of his life.

Family and friends can gather on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Anderson Memorial Chapel by 10 am in order to follow procession to Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL for interment.

Cremation rites to be accorded. Timothy’s ashes will be inurned at Resurrection Cemetery, Romeoville, IL. at a later date.
