She was a beautiful and caring person who was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Richard, by two sons and their wives; Richard and Patricia of Denville, and Louis and Arlene of Wayne, by five grandchildren; Christie, Louis, Danielle, Christopher and Shannon, by a sister Lois DiTondo of Clifton, by a brother Thomas Nagy of Newport Richie, FL, and by a niece Maria DiTondo. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Theresa Nagy and two brothers Joseph O'Haus and Louis Nagy.

A graduate of Passaic High School, Bernice was employed as a seamstress for Bendi & Sons in Passaic prior to her retirement in 2000. She was an avid Mets fan and bowler and loved to spend time at the Jersey Shore.

Bernice is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Patrick A. Matano Sr. in 2015 and by a sister, Gladys Halpin. She is survived by a son, Patrick A. Matano Jr. of Butler, by two daughters, Gina Scaduto Zhitnick and husband, Mike and Debra Gentiluomo and husband, Rob all of Clifton, by six grandchildren, Dana Matano, Michael Matano and wife, Michelle, Lexi Scaduto, Kayleigh Zhitnick, Brandon and Bryan Gentiluomo and by two great grandchildren, Savannah and Antonio Matano.
