Forrest Eugene Seiber - August 01, 1937 - March 12, 2022

Departed: 03/12/2022 (Hohenwald)
Obituary Preview: On March 12, 2022, Mr. Forrest (Sonny) (Frosty) Seiber 84, passed away suddenly at his home. There will be no public funeral services, as was his request. The family will have a private service at a later date to celebrate his life.
He will forever be in his family’s hearts. His biggest joy was his family. He loved us fiercely, just as we loved him. We will miss his kindness, his honesty, his stubbornness, and his sarcastic sense of humor.  He was born in Hohenwald, TN. He served in the army at West Point, NY. After his service he returned to Hohenwald. He built many houses in and around Hohenwald. He opened and operated Seiber’s Grocery Store and gas station. He simply was a good man, a man who helped people when he could. If you had a flat tire and no money, he would fix your tire at his tire shop and charge you nothing.  If you or your family were hungry, he would “start a tab” at his grocery store knowing that his payment would be that the person would not go hungry.  If someone had repairs to their home to be done and little money, he sometimes charged less than the material cost. That was his way! He loved to garden and watch things grow. He loved to tinker with old things and could fix anything with a little bailing wire and few screws.
He is survived his daughter Darla (Seiber) Diaz, his son in law, Luis Diaz, his granddaughter Jennifer (Leach) Causey, and her husband Jon Causey, and his great-grandson Owen Maag, his granddaughter Jacqueline (Leach) Warren and his great-granddaughter Aubry Warren and great grandson Aven Warren, and grandson Alex Diaz. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Seiber.
We ask that no flowers be sent but if you have a memory of him, please share it with his family at tulip662@aol.com. We also ask that if you wish to honor him that if you see someone in need and you are able to help them, please do so.
