Jerry Love - June 06, 1953 - January 23, 2024

Departed: 01/23/2024 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: Erwin Jerome “Jerry” Love, (70) passed away on January 23rd, 2024 following a sudden decline in his health.
Jerry was predeceased by his father Saul, mother Ruth (nee Levinson) and brother Lawrence. He is survived by his loving wife Brenda, his sons Jordan and Matthew, his sister Janet (Jay) Aldrige, and sister-in-law Marsha Love as well as many nieces and nephews.
Starting his career as a computer operator at First Wisconsin bank, Jerry rose through the ranks as the bank transitioned to Firstar Bank and finally U.S. Bank. He retired as a senior manager of their data center storage department where he often found and fixed mistakes that would otherwise have cost the bank and its customers millions of dollars.
Jerry was a loving husband and father who shared with his family his passion for camping and cycling. He loved to build and maintain bicycles as one of his many creative hobbies. He played and collected guitars, always ready to sing something funny, frequently irreverent and very probably inappropriate.
After retirement he taught himself Photoshop and spent endless hours on Reddit fixing other peoples damaged or degraded photos for nothing more than the challenge. He was regarded by many to be performing actual miracles restoring what they had thought to be lost forever. He also trolled many with silly or banal photo requests by taking their instructions far too literally when he “fixed” their photos for them.
Jerry will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
