John was born in Monroe County, KY  on August 17, 1942, a son of the late Elva Jewell (Wax) and Hade  Lyon.
He was married to Lucille Staples Lyons, who preceded him in death on March 14, 1984.
John was a farmer in the Sandlick Community of Monroe County, KY.
John is survived by a son, Johnny Lyons, and wife, Christie, of Tompkinsville, KY;  two grandchildren, John Reece Lyons and Rylee Lucille Lyons.
John is also survived by a brother, Cecil Lyons, of Tompkinsville, KY.
Other than his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Orby, Ivan, Hade Jr., James, Earl and Rondall; and three sisters, Nelda Jones, Inez Burks and Jennie Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 21st at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Thursday morning after 8:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

She worked at SKF for over 30 years and was a fulltime grandmother after retirement. Chrystene is survived by a daughter, Pamela Wilborn, of Tompkinsville, KY; a son, Tony White (Tammie), of Tompkinsville, KY; four grandchildren, Kimberly Blankenship, KristaClaywell (Chris), Kenzie White (Joseph Hurt) and Allison White (River Shelton); seven great grandchildren, Axel, Trenton, Allie, Peyton, Chandler, Braelynn and Hallie Jo. Chrystene is also survived by two brothers, Mitchell Hagan (Frances), of Tompkinsville, KY; Marshall Hagan, of Tompkinsville, KY; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces. Jo Ann was born in Tompkinsville, KY,  on June 1, 1955, a daughter of the late Van Tooley and Agnes Coley Tooley Ford.
On December 1, 1978, she married Charlie Page.
She worked at the National Store, Allen-Monroe Home Health and for the Monroe County School System. She was a member of Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
Jo Ann is  survived by her husband, Charlie Page; two sons, Andrew Ryan Page, and companion Ashley Turner; and William Cody Page, and wife, Leslie; four grandchildren, Brantley, Emma, Abbie and Kelsey.   Jo Ann is also survived by two sisters, Mary Branstetter and Nancy Copas, and a brother, Larry  Van Tooley, all of Tompkinsville, KY; four nieces, Beth Branstetter, Laura Meador, Mary Etta Hinkle, Chasity Biggerstaff; and four nephews, Tyler, Corey and Christian Tooley and Roy Branstetter, also several great nieces and nephews survive.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a nephew, James Robert Branstetter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 22nd at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

She was a member of Flippin Homemakers, and Banna worked as a substitute teacher and was a farmer. She married Carlos Burnett on August 31, 1950. They shared 71 years together before his passing on February 17, 2022. Banna is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Debbie Burnett and Marc and Melissa Burnett, all of Fountain Run, KY; grandchildren, Nicholas Burnett and wife, Taryn, Matthew Burnett and wife, Valerie, Stephen Burnett and wife McKayla, Mariah Burnett and step-granddaughter Rachel; and three great grandchildren, Iris, Kinleigh, and Ezra. She is also survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Hughes, and husband, Billy Clay, of Fountain Run, KY; and Dorothy Quesnberry of Magnolia, KY; two brothers, Frank Rowland, and wife, Cynthia, of Glasgow, KY and Billy Rowland and wife, Judy of Gamaliel, KY. Obituary Preview: John C. Harlan, age 76, of Harlans Crossroads, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. John was born on July 12, 1945 to the late Ray and Della Mae Gillenwater Harlan and was the youngest of their five children. He was a 1964 graduate of Tompkinsville High School. John married his wife of 53 years, Janice Pitcock Harlan, on December 21, 1968. They met while working at Key factory, and after a brief courtship, were married by Bro. Floyd Ferguson. John and Janice settled down on a farm near Harlans Crossroads and raised three children: Nathan Harlan; Joy Turner, wife of Brian Turner; and Sarah Alexander, wife of Jarrod Alexander. John was a proud Grandpa to his five grandchildren: Kale Harlan, Andrew Sewell, Ella Ree, Atlie Pearl, and Boyd Harlan. John was a lifelong farmer, and for over 35 years he worked as a Supervisor at the Tompkinsville Water Plant. He was a veteran, having served in the Army National Guard from 1966-1972. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Beautiful Home Missionary Baptist Church with his family. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his sister Mary Pearl Clements; his brother Veachel Harlan and wife Brenda; sister-in law Jeanette Harlan; brother-in-law Larry Pitcock and wife Helena; and sister-in-law Vickie Bryant and husband Terry; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gene Harlan and Mack Harlan, sister-in-law Jeanne Harlan, and brother-in-law Connie Mack Clements. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 17 at 2:30 pm at Yokley Trible Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Taylor officiating, with burial to follow at Harlans Crossroads Cemetery. Wally is survived by three daughters, Debbie Dodson, of Whitleyville, TN;Kathy Glass, of Edmonton, KY; Loretta Ryan, of Tompkinsville, KY; four sons Eddy Watson, of Gainsville, FL; Teddy Watson, of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Randy Watson, of Tompkinsville, KY; Larry Watson, of Tompkinsville, KY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Jessie was born in Tompkinsville, KY on January 28, 1942, a son of the late Mitchell B. Long and Helen Francis Long Daniel. He was a proud member of the Poplar Log Missionary Baptist Church. Jessie will be remembered by most for his love and skill for the game of pool, being a farm hand to those in the community that needed him and his strong resemblance to Willie Nelson. He was a kind man who loved his family and enjoyed being around anyone who would sit and talk to him, especially if they brought him a cup of McDonald's coffee. Jessie took a ride from nearly everyone in Monroe County because he never knew a stranger. Jessie is survived by his nieces, Janice Reagan (Harold), of Tompkinsville, KY; Karen Bartley (Terry) of Tompkinsville, KY; Teresa Copas (Chris), of Tompkinsville, KY; Renea' Hunter (Jeff) of Tompkinsville, KY; Lori Barlow (Chris) of Glasgow, KY; Kristie Long, Michele Houchens (David) of Fountain Run, KY; and Misty Gentry, of Tompkinsville, KY; one nephew, Calvin Jones (Missy) of Tompkinsville, KY; two brother-in-laws, Cecil Jones and Harley Proffitt. Jessie took a ride from nearly everyone in Monroe County because he never knew a stranger.
