Leonard was born April 5, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa to Clarence and Ruby Ellen Johnson Jones. He was retired from Chevron Pipeline. Leonard was an amazing man and loved the lord and his family and friends. There was never a dull moment when you were around him. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruby Jones and his sister, Marsha Looney. Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Elaine Jones of Old River-Winfree, Texas; sons, Bryan Jones & wife Jamie of Tennessee and Anthony Beard & wife Tisha of Cleveland, Texas; daughters, Felicia Jones of Hawaii, Anne Sellers of Lufkin, Texas, Damara Boone & husband Patrick of Old River-Winfree, Texas, Lisa Jones-Arnold & husband Billy of Old River-Winfree, Texas, and Lauren Brown & husband Hayden of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Keely, Aislinn, Cody, Gavin, Noah, Alison, Kristian, Victoria, Destiny, Kyleigh, Julie, KC, Faith, Evan, Gracen and Isabel; great grandchildren, Cashton, Adalyn, Aubrey and Kaszlynn; brother, Mike Jones; sister, Shirleen Robinette and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 25, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Wortham with Reverend Justin Colquette officiating. Interment will be at Wortham Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, May 25, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Wortham prior to the funeral service.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

Miriam Glynn Bounds - March 10, 1931 - March 25, 2020

Obituary Preview: It is with a sad heart we share the passing of Miriam Glynn Jenkins Bounds on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Miriam was born on March 10, 1931 in Streetman Texas to Frank Bates Jenkins and Willie Fair Sherrod Jenkins. She graduated from Brenham High School in 1948. Upon graduation, she moved to Dallas, where she married Gene Alan Bounds in 1949. They made a home in Dallas and created a close and loving family with their three children, Gene Alan Jr., Sharon and Sandy. The family grew up splitting time between Dallas and managing the Bounds ranch in Wortham. Following the death of her husband Gene in 1972, Miriam remained in the Dallas area and continued to raise her children.
In 1977 she married Finis Edward “Buddy” Brennan. They moved to Kaufman and later moved to the ranch in Wortham. Buddy died in 1990.
In 1993 she married Clyde Lemoine Bounds. They also lived at the ranch in Wortham. Clyde died in 2006.
Miriam was a woman of strength who met all challenges without complaining and relied on a quiet unwavering faith in God. She was made of grit, common sense, kindness and compassion and was an inspiration to many. Miriam was a great cook and shared that with the community through bake sales, cake auctions, and church potluck dinners. As head of the church food committee she was constantly cooking and organizing events to the point you wondered how she had time to run a ranch or cook for her family. After all family meals everyone was always sent home with a “care” package.
Miriam was a leader in her church and a vital part of the United Methodist Women. She was a loyal friend who always had compassion for others and was widely respected. She will be missed by many. She was dearly loved by and predeceased by: Husbands; Gene Alan Bounds, Buddy Brennan and Clyde Lemoine Bounds
Siblings; Audrey Jenkins, Abe Jenkins, Marjorie Milazzo Weathersby, Marion “Mike” Jenkins. Step son; Jack Bounds
Her survivors include; Gene Alan Jr. and his wife Michelle, Sharon Hooks, Sandy Mick and her husband Rick, Darlene Haywood and her husband Mark, Denise Adam, Mike Brennan and his wife Inga, Cherry Kay Wolfe and her husband Mike, and Edward Bounds.
Grandchildren are: Jenie Leigh Edwards Abbotts, Melissa Mick, Jennifer Mick, Jimmy Frideley, Stephanie Haywood, Chelsea Wittenauer and her husband Jeremy, Casey Ragan and his wife Rachel.
Numerous great grandchildren as well.
A private burial will be held at Birdston Cemetery. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be sent to the North Texas Food Bank or First United Methodist Church of Wortham.

Paulene was born on November 19, 1924 in Navarro County, Texas to George & Nora Cox Lucas. She passed away on December 18, 2019 at Skilled Care of Mexia at the age of 95.
Paulene graduated from Wortham High School. She served as president of the D.A.R. Office and was an administrator for Lockheed Martin Incorporated before retiring. Her favorite pastime was traveling to Colorado with her husband Bob where they fished for days and enjoyed life.
Paulene was preceded in death by her parents, George & Nora Cox Lucas, husband, Robert “Bob” Saylor; sisters, Clara Lee Benton and Doris Lucas and brothers, George Lucas Jr. and Clarence Edward Lucas. She is survived by her brother, Ted Lucas & wife Judy of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be members of her family.

Gary attended Wortham Schools all 12 years where he excelled as an athlete and loyal friend to many, who affectionately called him “Pack”. He attended El Centro College in South Dallas where he earned his associate degree as Radiologic Technologist. He dedicated his career to working under his father at Wortham Hospital and Wortham Clinic.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. N.D. Buchmeyer. Gary is survived by his children, Trey Buchmeyer, Carlie Buchmeyer and Bryce Buchmeyer; mother, Theresa Buchmeyer; brother, Norris Buchmeyer and wife Cyenthia; sister, PattyBuchmeyer; niece, Jennifer Kocoloski and husband Matt; nephews, Adam Buchmeyer, Brian Buchmeyer, Brandon Richardson, Sean Richardson and wife Sophia and several grandchildren.

Roy honorably served his country in the Vietnam War during his seven years in the U.S. Air Force.
By profession Roy was a business man in the auto sales industry which he loved. When he wasn’t working he was spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and collecting arrowheads.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Willie McNeel and Jerry McNeel.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanna and husband David Kerr, daughter, Cherée and husband Joey Wilcoxen, granddaughter, Brittany and husband Daniel Price, grandson, Dustin Wilcoxen and siblings, JoAnn Lane and Roger McNeel and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Corley-Porter Chapel in Wortham from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Wortham cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Justin Colquette officiating.

Sylvia was born on June 20, 1945 in Mexia, Texas to William Gaskill Moody and Erin Haupt Moody. She was a school teacher for Wortham I.S.D. until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Julia Erin Bell & husband Alan Cummins of Trophy Club; son, James Bell & wife Katherine of Keller; grandchildren, Aaron Cummins, Reese Cummins, Kennedy Bell and Lincoln Bell and sisters, Sarah Lane of Wortham and Sandra Moody of Austin.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wardlow Lane, Ryan Carr, Jed Donahue, Logan Capers, Todd Jarrell and Chunky Busby.
In 2015 Sylvia became a statistic. Currently 1-in-10 Americans over the age of 65 has Alzheimer’s. In the United States someone develops Alzheimer’s every 65 seconds. Of the top 10 leading causes of deaths in the U.S., Alzheimer’s is the only one that can’t be cured.
Our family will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 12, 2019 in Grapevine, TX. If you are able and wish to participate, please join us. George Franklin “Franky” Ridge was born February 2, 1954 at Mexia Hospital in Mexia, Texas. His parents Clyde Sr. “Hardhead” and Mary Patterson Ridge were lifelong residents of Wortham, Texas.
Franky graduated from Wortham High School, class of 1972. After graduating he attended both Navarro Jr. College and Bryan College at Dayton Tennessee with studies in Theology. He worked at Wortham Hospital during high school and then began a career with Marathon Oil Company, retiring in 2016 after 33 years, 10 months and 9 days. He would tell you quickly “and I enjoyed every minute of time at Marathon”.
He accepted Christ at Kirvin Baptist Church in 1975 and became an ordained deacon there in October 1978 and later moved his membership to First Baptist Church Wortham, where he served as deacon there until his passing. He was often called on to lead the singing at Community 5th Sunday singings were he began the services with a joke on hand for all to hear. He loved to make people laugh and smile, always. He was also the Community Santa for many years, riding in on Wortham’s Fire Truck to the kid’s delight. Hunting anything they could was always a Ridge Tradition.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don Allen Ridge in 2015; nephew, Justin Ridge; wife, Ann Ridge and Father-in-Law, Robert Baldree.
Survivors include the “light of his life” daughter Jenny Ridge. Two brothers Commissioner Clyde Ridge Jr. of Kirvin and Darrell Ridge of Wortham, 3 sister-in-laws Angie Ridge, Becky Ridge of Wortham and Carol Emola of Forney. Mother-in-law Estelle Baldree of Freestone, Nieces and nephews Joey, Chad, Whitney, Kristi and Shelby and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church Wortham on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. with the funeral services immediately following visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Wortham with Reverend Justin Colquette and Chaplain Karen Hulsey officiating. It can be said about Franky Ridge “he never met a stranger, he started a conversation with anyone in ear shot and everyone enjoyed his great belly laugh, he will be missed by us all."
Memorials may be made to Virginia’s Hospice, 309 Main Street, Teague, TX 75860.
Serving as pallbearers will be Clyde Ridge, Jr, Darrell Ridge, Eric Samford, Ronald Davis, Rickey Ridge and Eric Batts. Honorary pallbearers will be First Baptist Church Wortham deacons and Chad Ridge, Joey Ridge, Jimmy Baugh, Bill Capers, Lonnie Beldin and Phil Whatley.

Ann was born in Dallas, Texas on August 7, 1959 to Robert & Estelle VanDyke Baldree. She graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1978. After graduation Ann worked for a CPA firm in Dallas, Texas and later moved to Destin, Florida where she worked as an accountant for a restaurant chain. She lived in Florida 10 years and then moved back to Texas and went to work for Wal-Mart in Terrell, Texas and worked in the bakery department. Later she transfered to the Wal-Mart in Mexia, Texas and worked in the bakery/deli department.
On July 26, 2008 Ann married the love of her life George (Franky) Ridge of Wortham, Texas. Ann's love for God, Franky, family, and others was exemplified in the way she lived her life. Ann had a gentle spirit and outgoing personality, and always smiling. She could make you laugh in a heart beat. She never met a stranger, and spoke to everyone as if she knew them personally. Ann always would root for the underdog, she had a big heart, and if you were down on your luck, Ann was the one to help you. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wortham, Texas and enjoyed her Ladies Bible Class.
Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents, A.W. and Kate Baldree and Robert and Mary VanDyke. Ann is survivied by her devoted husband George (Franky) Ridge of Wortham,Texas, her parents Robert and Estelle Baldree of Donie, Texas, one sister, Carol Emola, of Forney, Texas, one niece, Shelby and husband Chris Arthur, of Forney, Texas and two great nephews, Jackson and Alisdair Arthur. Special life long friends, Sherryl and Cindy Manning.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the nurses and entire staff at Skilled Care Of Mexia, and a special thanks to Judy Angel and the Hospice staff for all their love and support and to Dr. Edward Pan, the oncologist and his staff, as well as the entire UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
