Obituary Preview: Sharon Murrah Nichols, 76, of Star City, was called to her Heavenly home on April 15, 2022. She was the daughter of Floyd and Floy Emerson Murrah. She was born in Little Rock on October 5, 1945.
Sharon received her law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was a well- established attorney in south Arkansas. She opened her law office in Pine Bluff in 1981. She was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association for 43 years. During that time, she served as the first female president of the Jefferson County Bar Association, as well as holding each of the other offices of the Board of Directors. She was a founding member of the adhoc committee for the formation of the battered womens’ shelter in Pine Bluff. She was also a CASA volunteer.
Sharon was a member of the England Church of Christ.
Sharon enjoyed working in her yard, playing board games with her nieces and nephews, and loved to go fishing.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doll Murrah Spradlin; one nephew James Edward Spradlin and one niece Laura Spradlin Slaughter.  Sharon is survived by her husband of 16 years, Van Nichols; three nephews, Carson Slaughter, Cameron Slaughter, and Jesse Spradlin; one niece, Joy Spradlin; and a very special friend, Samantha Binns. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, at 2:00PM at the Wilson Robison Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00PM. Obituary Preview: Cecil Claude Powell, Jr., 72, of Pine Bluff, left this world for his eternal home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1946, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to Cecil and Margaret Ivan Powell.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Hardin Powell of Pine Bluff; his sisters, Carla (Paul) McKeegan of Tiltonsville, Ohio, and Kathy (Jeff) Bernard of Steubenville, Ohio; his beloved cat, “Little Cecil;” his dog, “Thunder;” and a host of family and friends.
Cecil was a Master Electrician at T & N Electric Co., Inc.  He was a “jack of all trades,” able to fix just about anything. He loved working and could easily be called a “workaholic.” He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy.

She was born on June 10, 1943 in Little Rock to the late Shuford Glen Weaver and Eunice Mae (Lemons) Weaver. Nancy worked for the State of Arkansas for over 40 years in the Department of Finance and Administration. She was also a member of Eastern Star. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed antiquing, buying and selling antiques at flea markets and various places.  She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Wayne Cothren; her brother, Merrlyn Weaver; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents; one daughter, Rhonda Cothren; and one brother, Bobby Weaver.
Services are entrusted to Wilson Robison Funeral Home of England, AR. There will be a graveside service on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1 PM at Union Valley Cemetery in England, AR.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Eugene and Wilma Morris, William Joseph Helton and Ola Mae Tackett; and his nephew, Gunner Thompson. When working, Faye was employed with AT&T in quality control. She lived in Michigan and Illinois for many years before returning to Arkansas. She loved to travel and go to casinos. She also enjoyed working in her yard, especially her flower beds. She was a fun person to be around, enjoying whatever she was doing. Faye adored all that had to do with Elvis and enjoyed listening to his music.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Kenneth Morgan and Charles Morgan; and her daughter, Anita Gail Biddle. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Wilcox of North Little Rock; her grandson, Jason (Traci) Long of Benton, a granddaughter, Crystal Crook of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Kody Long of Benton, Kolton Redd of Little Rock, and Parker Johnson of Benton; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends in the England and Humnoke areas. Obituary Preview: William “Bill” Wilson Hankins, 76, of England, Arkansas, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Bill was born in England, on August 4, 1945, to Frank and Louria Burks Hankins. He was the youngest of six children.
At the age of sixteen Bill started working in the plumbing industry. He became a Master Plumber and started his own business. He served the community and surrounding areas for over fifty years.
Bill was a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, a Shriner and a Jester. He took great pride in being a member of these organizations.
Bill was one of a kind! You never had to ask him what he thought and, if you did, you better be prepared for his answer. He loved his family and friends dearly.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Carl Hankins and Wayman Hankins and two sisters, Wanda Grover and Evelyn Palmer. He is survived by his, sister Frankie (Bobby) Lee of England, his daughter Codi Hankins Lee of Muldrow, OK, two grandchildren, Adrianah Lee and Garett Lewis of Muldrow, OK, a special friend Mitchell Tumbleson, that he taught the tricks of the trade and thought of as a son.

Margie was born in Tomberlin, Arkansas to Earl Boyce Harkey and Laurie Inez Harkey. Margie grew up in Tomberlin and later moved to England where she spent the majority of her life. In 2018, she moved to California to spend the remainder of her life with her daughter, Tammi. In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband Carl Eugene Rollins;
her brother; Jack B. Harkey, and her two sisters, Evelyn Jane Harkey and Billie Jean Harkey.
Margie was a full time housewife and mother as well as working outside of the home. She was employed with Timex and Malone Fish Farm. While living in England, Margie loved visiting with her family and neighbors. She loved animals, working outside and cooking. She loved to cook for her family and her daughter's friends. Everyone was always welcome in her home.
Margie is survived by her two daughters; Jodi (Steve) Maley of San Antonio, Texas, and Tammi (Colby) Chandler of Palomar, California. She had two grandchildren that she loved dearly. Zoe Elise Pickard of San Antonio, Texas and Cole Rollins Chandler of Paomay, California. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Etta Marie Edens - November 19, 1931 - October 20, 2021

Obituary Preview: Etta Marie Edens, 89 of Cabot, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord October 20, 2021. She was born in Carlisle, Arkansas, on November 19, 1931, to Otha Finis Phillips Sr. and Bertha Hildey (Daniels) Phillips as the second of their seven surviving children. Etta was a homemaker and spent almost her entire life in and around Lonoke County. She loved to cook, complete word-search puzzle books, read her Bible, and spend time with her family. Etta was also a stay-at-home Nanny for many years to over a dozen children in the England and Keo communities.
In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Rev. Herman J. Edens, who passed away June 25, 2021, and her youngest son, Tim Edens, who passed away on October 14, 2021. As the final surviving child of Otha and Bertha Phillips, she was also preceded in death by her sisters Ruth Morgan, Ola Putt, and Joyce Ingle. Her brothers Otha Finis Phillips Jr, Roy Phillips, and Wayne Phillips.
She is survived by her two sons, Eddie (Debbie) Edens of Redfield, Arkansas and Gary (Chasity) Edens of Bryant, Arkansas. One daughter, Gayla Ritchie of Searcy Arkansas. Eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Visitation and funeral services for Etta and her son, Tim Edens, will be on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Wilson Robison Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at 1:00PM with service to follow at 2:00PM. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery in Hazen, Arkansas, under the direction of Wilson Robison Funeral Home in England.

Timothy Paul Edens - September 08, 1972 - October 14, 2021

Obituary Preview: Timothy Paul “Tim” Edens, 49, of Cabot, formerly of England, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Tim was the youngest son of the late Pastor Herman J. Edens and his mother, Etta Marie Phillips Edens. He was born in Beebe, Arkansas, on September 8, 1972. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Tim graduated from Arkansas State University-Jonesboro, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in TV & Radio Communications. He  considered himself to be a journalist. He was very articulate and creative with his spoken and written language expression. During his college days, he was a disc jockey for a local radio station in Jonesboro. Tim graduated from England High School.as salutatorian. While in high school, he worked for Jerry Jackson at the England Democrat.
Before returning to Arkansas, Tim worked for the Texas Department of Human Services as a computer specialist in the financial area of the Department.
Tim was a loving and caring son. The last several years of his life, he took care of his aging parents with such loving care. He took pride in the fact that his father, just days after his death in June, 2021, received a lapel pin for preaching the Gospel for 60 years.
Tim loved his family. He loved his brothers, but had a special bond with his sister, Gayla, who has wonderful memories of the day her mother brought Tim home from the hospital and placed him in her arms. To Gayla, he was “her baby,” loving him dearly all of his life.
Tim loved his four cats and photography. He enjoyed photographing his cats and had multitudes of creative and professional level photos of his beloved cats. Tim also enjoyed spending time working on family genealogy, and had completed work on both the Edens and Phillips families.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Herman Edens. He is survived by his mother, Etta Edens; his brothers, Eddie (Debbie) Edens of Redfield and Gary (Chasity) Edens of Bryant; his sister Gayla Ritchie of Searcy; a host of nieces and nephews; and many special friends in Texas and Arkansas.

Helen was a member of Landmark Missionary Church in England. She loved her church and loved working in the nursery with the children. She loved to sew and work outside in her yard. She was a wonderful cook and always had requests for her coconut pies.
Helen loved children and they in turn loved her. She was affectionately called “Woowoo” by children at her church and by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
Harold Holladay and Bobby Holladay; and one sister, Nancy Murphy. She is survived by her loving family; a brother Ray (Barbara) Holladay, Jr.; sisters, Joannie Barron of North Little Rock, Cheryl (Lyndell) Campbell of England, Margie Holladay and her special friend, Wayne McLean, both of England; her “special great, great grandkids,” Zackary Oliger and Emmerson Holladay of England and Kaylee Lloyd of Wynne; and a host of nieces and nephews. Jayme was a lifelong resident of Arkansas, a Baptist and a member of Gold Creek Baptist Church in Conway. She spent many years working as a cook at Stroud's Restaurant in Conway.
Jayme was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Michael; her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Kathy White; her sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Bill Garrett; and her sister, Karen Church. She is survived by her daughter. Kimberly Ellis, and fiancee, James Travelstead; her sister and brother-in-law, Gina and Lee Harper of Belleville, Illinois; brother-in-law Steve Church of Sheridan, her grandson, Sylis Travelstead, and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Roger Ellis, James Travelstead, Joe Fortier, Ben Ellis, Lee Harper, and Matt Cummings. Visitation will be Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Wilson Robison Chapel at 1:00pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Mulberry Cemetery in England.
