Paul Balderas Sr. - February 14, 1956 - April 11, 2024

Departed: 04/11/2024 (Los Banos)
Obituary Preview: Our beloved father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend is now celebrating in glory. He leaves behind 7 children (Irene Torres, Ilene Almanza, Marina Garcia, Pablo De-Cantù, Denise Tucci, Samuel Briones, Paulina Briones), 3 son-in-laws (Steve Torres, Ronnie Garcia, Jimmy Tucci), 11 grandchildren, 11 great grand children, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many wonderful friends.
Paul was a mighty man after God's own heart. Plain and simple, he loved the Lord. He was a man of grace and mercy, always willing to believe the best in people and give them a chance. He had a hunger for the Word of God that caused him to rise before the sun every morning to read his Bible and pray for his loved ones. He had a gift of great faith, always believing that what is impossible with man is possible with God. He trusted in the Lord and in His promises and he saw a great many of them come to pass in his lifetime.
Paul ran a men's recovery home in Planada, California that went from 2 to 20 within the past few years. He lived out the last years of his life pouring himself into the men of the recovery home and reaching those farthest from God to bring them into relationship with Jesus. He even decked out his car to be a witness for Jesus! His daughter and son-in-law gifted him a car and he had it decaled from front to back to promote Jesus and the recovery home. During his last year of life, he took the men from the recovery home to be a blessing and work on the Dos Palos Theater that his daughter and son had recently purchased. He was so excited to help his family succeed in life and to be a part.
We are forever grateful that God has given us this beautiful time with Paul (our father).
Paul's story is a beautiful story of redemption. At first, a hard knock life, he made many mistakes and had many failings and regrets, but he was reconciled to God and chose to keeping moving forward. His life's testimony proves that it is not how you start, but truly, how you finish that matters most and we are proud to have witnessed him finish his race STRONG in the Lord. We believe without a shadow of doubt that he heard "Well done, good and faithful servant," as he went on to his final glory in Christ. Dad, you are forever in our hearts. We love you and we are so proud of you!
