Phillip George Gardanier - February 22, 1937 - April 21, 2022

Departed: 04/21/2022 (Forsyth)
Obituary Preview: Phillip George Gardanier walked through the gates of heaven pain and cancer free on April 21, 2022.   Phil was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 22, 1937.
Phil worked for several companies in Chicago before running his own in Glenview, Illinois.  He developed a love for NASCAR when he worked for a company that made model kits of the cars where he wrote and illustrated the instructions and spent time in the NASCAR pits photographing the cars.  If Phil were here helping write this, he would say enough about my work history tell them about my fish stories.  Everyone that knew Phil knew his love for fishing whether in Wisconsin on Lake Michigan, or in Naples, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico or in Forsyth, Missouri on Lake Taneycomo.  He also was a great Fisher of Men.  He loved sharing his faith.  If he could talk to us now, he would tell us there are no words to describe the glory of heaven and if you aren't sure where you will spend eternity you need to ask God to help you find your way and I will be here waiting to greet you.
Phil is survived by his wife and best friend Nancy of 35 years; son Ron Gardanier; granddaughter Amy Gardanier;, brother in law Tim (Jan) Weidner; sister in law Ellen Weidner; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents Wynn and Louise Gardanier; son George Gardanier; brother David Gardanier; nephew Scott Gardanier; and brother in law Donald Weidner.
Phil will be greatly missed, especially by his wife who did life by his side whether at work or play.
Phil also had a strong desire to see Church 3:16 own the building they are having services in.  His request is for donations to the church.

Olin Lee Tilley - February 27, 1947 - April 09, 2022

Departed: 04/09/2022 (Forsyth)
Obituary Preview: Olin Lee Tilley was born on the 27th day of February, in 1947 at his family’s home in Kissee Mills, MO. His parents, Olin H. and Maxine (Kruze) Tilley welcomed their baby boy who was the oldest of their four children. His siblings include Susie, Henry, and Tom. Olin and his siblings had a strong bond throughout their lives.
At an early age Olin was introduced to the outdoors. He developed a lifelong love for hunting and fishing from his father who was a fishing guide on local creeks and lakes. In his youth, when he wasn’t hunting and fishing, Olin played basketball and baseball. He attended Forsyth Schools until he moved to Branson to play Baseball where he shined playing the sport he loved so much. It was at this time in his life when he attended the Show Me Baseball Camps and was coached by Willie Mays. Olin’s talent on the baseball field caught the attention of scouts and after high school he was drafted to play 3rd base for the Los Angeles Dodgers. His baseball dreams were cut short as he went to serve in the United States Army where he qualified as a sharpshooter and was stationed mostly in Germany.
After returning home from the service Olin married and had his first two boys, Marty and Sean. Later he would meet his forever love, Janie Wyman, and they would complete their family with the birth of their third son, Brandon.
Olin was employed by Contell phone company in Branson and worked at the phone company in Colorado. He later owned a local auto shop.
His heart was as big as his smile. He was a devoted husband of 41 years to his wife Janie, who he called Jane and oftentimes just “Wyman.” He loved his family as much as he loved hunting. He was especially proud of his “3 boys” who he would request prayer for every Sunday, and he loved his grandchildren dearly.
Olin would do anything for anyone in need. He was giving and he was kind, and he never met a stranger. He had a pleasant disposition, and his smile was contagious. He loved his animals whether it be a good horse, mule, or good hunting beagle. He was a true friend, the kind you could count on and a role model to many. For many years he coached summer league baseball at Forsyth. He loved coaching the boys and impacted many lives coaching the sport he enjoyed so much. He loved his hunting trips and traveling with Janie. He enjoyed a relaxing camping trip, having fish frys, and gathering with friends and family.
Olin made the best and biggest decision of his life in 2004 when he gave his life to the Lord and asked for salvation at the Bryant Ridge Church where he attended with Janie. This is also where his brother Henry and mother also came to know the Lord and invited Jesus into their hearts. A highlight of his life was attending the church’s 44-night revival where so many lives were saved. He dedicated many hours and his talents helping build the new church when it was relocated. For the past 12 years he attended Lone Star Church in Taneyville where he was a deacon, song leader, and vital active member. He loved the church and his church family. But most of all he loved the Lord and was always eager to tell everyone he met about Jesus and he never missed a chance to stand up and thank the Lord for all the little things He’s done for him.
Throughout his life Olin was an avid outdoorsman. He loved catching bass in Bull Shoals Lake and floating the local creeks. He was a trapper and loved to hunt deer, turkey, and coyotes here at home and his yearly trips to Colorado hunting elk, mule deer, and bear. Even in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado he was well known by locals and fellow hunters who were proud to call him their friend.
Olin was always there to lend a hand and help a friend without hesitation. He was doing just that on April 9th, 2022, at the age of 75, when the Lord called him home to Heaven. He lived his life with passion and purpose and it’s only fitting that he was walking the hills he loved so much when he drew his last breath here on Earth.
Olin is survived by his loving wife, Janie; his three sons, Marty and wife Tanja, Sean and Licia, and Brandon and wife Donna; his ten grandchildren: Vanessa and husband Jordan, DaKota, Makaylee and husband Cody, Madison, Bayli and fiance’ Luke, Jordan, Ethan, John, Jeremiah, Issac; and seven great grandchildren; his sister, Susie and husband Terry; brother Tom and wife Kathy; mother-in-law, Almeda Wyam; stepfather Randall Ingenthron; five sisters-in-law, Donna, Retha, Rena, Anita, and Jamie; three brothers-in -law, Keith, Jay, and Greg; special friends Josh & Lacey and a host of other nephews, nieces, friends, and church family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olin H. Tilley; mother, Maxine (Kruse) Ingenthron (known as Granny Mac); brother, Henry; father-in-law, Bernard Wyman; and three brothers in law, Jackie, Doyle, and Rick.
Olin left a legacy that will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him and the stories that will be passed onto future generations telling of the man he was. He was more than a son, brother, husband, dad, grandpa, and friend. He was a born again Christian and a fisher of men. We can hold firmly in the promise that if we have accepted Christ as our personal savior, we will see Olin again.

It slowly took his body, but never took his mind, soul, or spirit. He was always surrounded by loved ones who were fortunate enough to witness his determination and perseverance daily.   As a child, Wayne grew up in Minnesota where his family purchased a resort on the lake.
