Wayne Edwin Cambra - February 24, 2017 - February 24, 2017

Departed: 02/24/2017 (Tacoma)
Obituary Preview: Wayne Edwin Cambra was born July 3, 1954 in Inglewood, CA. He was the oldest of three sons born to Edwin and Mary Cambra who moved from Hawaii to California in their twenties. He was born with a hearing impairment which drove him to prove that he was as or more capable than his peers in any endeavor he pursued.
It was easy to see that he was a self-driven achiever early on in his life. This was evident in the many jobs he had in his youth. Some of these jobs included paper routes, selling Christmas cards, and being a grocery clerk. This determination carried on into the days he attended Bishop Montgomery High School where he participated in multiple activities, such as: baseball, water polo, surfing, and music. He did so well at water polo he earned a scholarship to California State Polytechnic University of Pomona or simple Cal Poly. He continued to excel in this sport at the collegiate level until he connected with his true passion, Animal Science. At this point he switched all of his efforts into rodeo and running the beef unit for the college. During this time he met and married, Gail Marie Ganschow, who loved horses and focused on the same academic program.
On the heels of their college years they began their family while moving up the west coast working at different ranches. This brought them to Washington where he initially worked for a farming supply store and raised cattle, chickens, and kids while starting his own livestock business which many of you know as Cambra Livestock Services. As his business developed so did the range of services he provided. Through his tireless efforts, goodwill, and breadth of knowledge he built and supported a large and loyal network of clients, associations, and youth programs.
In his personal time on his long drives between clients, he chiseled out his own core philosophy of "The 5 Values to Success" that echoed in all his achievements. These values included: 1. Family, 2. Humbleness, 3. Pride, 4. Survival, and 5. Happiness. These values will forever resonate in the hearts and minds of his family.
Wayne's legacy will survive through his four sons whom he fostered into the professions of education, finance, military leadership, and agriculture. Further, his now 4 grandchildren carry his love and determination for success as they excel in their own lives today.
Wayne will be remembered as a dedicated son, caring brother, loving husband, giving father/grandfather, and loyal friend who will be deeply loved and forever missed.Wayne will be remembered as a dedicated son, caring brother, loving husband, giving father/grandfather, and loyal friend who will be deeply loved and forever missed. Obituary Preview: Paul B. Dickson, 82, died peacefully October 2, 2016 in Enumclaw Washington surrounded by his family. He was born March 23, 1934 in Snoqualmie, Washington, the fifth and youngest child of the late Owen H. and Euroca B. Dickson. In 1950 the Dickson family settled in Enumclaw, where Paul attended high school.
He graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1953 going on to the University of Washington graduating in 1958 as a pharmacist. He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Lee Moeller, on August 6, 1954 in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
After working for five years as a pharmacist in Renton at the A & H Pharmacy, he moved back to Enumclaw, where he and his family worked together to build the MD pharmacy which opened in 1963. The small pharmacy grew rapidly and there were several building additions which included a department store before it was completed.
Paul soon earned the trust of his customers and became known as Uncle Paul. He was known for his words of wisdom which were found weekly in the Enumclaw Courier Herald. They were called "Uncle Paul's Pep Pills" and were thoughts of inspiration and encouragement for the residents of the Enumclaw/Buckley plateau. Many customers came to Paul and instead of asking for a prescription they would ask for a "Pep Pill".
Paul was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in numerous leadership positions in the church. In 1963 there was not an LDS church building in Enumclaw, Paul was instrumental in building the church at 246 Semanski Street which was completed in 1969.
Paul was preceded in death by brothers Owen Dickson (Twyla) and Lige Dickson; sister Peggy Nielson (Blaine); and brother-in-law George Harding.
The joy of Paul's life has been his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet Lee Dickson; sons Paul Douglas Dickson (Dawn) of Buckley, Dean M. Dickson (Elizabeth) of Buckley, and Darrel M. Dickson (Holly) of Enumclaw; daughter Diana Jayne Gunderson (Lance) of Houston, TX; sister Janet Burt (Boyd) of Sandy, UT; sister-in-law Narlynn Dickson of Salt Lake City, UT; 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and many friends.
Our family is very grateful for the care Paul received at Expressions of Enumclaw. The staff were all caring and treated him with dignity.
