Obituary Preview: Donald Lee Kilburn, 90, of Lewisville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at his home.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on December 10, 1931 a son of the late Freeman and Grace Todd Kilburn.
He was a former employee of Monroe Feed and was a founding partner of Vali-Hi Farms near Lewisville, Ohio.  He was also an owner/operator of Don Kilburn Trucking and he was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
He was a former supervisor for Monroe Soil & Water Conservation District for 12 years and he was a 20 year advisor for 4-H in Monroe County.
Don enjoyed traveling the 50 states of the United States, fishing, hunting, watching his kids and grandkids playing sports, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Harold Kilburn; his brother-in-law Neil Christman; his daughter-in-law Darlene Kilburn and a Sister-in-law,Dorothy Kilburn. :
Surviving are his wife, of 69 years Mary Judith “Judy” Christman Kilburn whom he married on June 20, 1953; one daughter, Amber (Tom) Ramage of Lewisville, Ohio; four sons, Kim (Bonnie) Kilburn of Woodsfield, Ohio; Stephen Kilburn and companion Carolyn Johnson of Lewisville, Ohio; Blake (Sandy) Kilburn of Lewisville, Ohio; Aaron (Melissa) Kilburn of Lewisville, Ohio; one brother, Dale Kilburn of Lewisville, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Kilburn of Arizona; Judy Kilburn of Florida; one brother-in-law Larry (Barbara) Christman of Stafford, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Summer (Scott) Welch; Brandi (Ryan) Loch; Preston (Brittany) Kilburn; Shantel (Dereck) Zwick; Beth (Tyler) Knowlton; Morgan (Mark) Poppel; Samantha (Michael) Habig; Dalton Ramage; Chandler (Angelle) Kilburn; Justin Kilburn; Alex Kilburn; nineteen great grandchildren and one on the way, several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Burial will follow in the Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.

He was born at Woodsfield, Ohio on December 2, 1938 a son of the late Isaac Beardmore and Maxine Murvine Pruett.
Raymond was a retired surveyor for the Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18, Akron, Ohio.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War; a member of the Stafford Lodge #300, F.&A,M., Stafford, Ohio; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Cambridge, Ohio and a member of the Alladin Shrine, Columbus. Ohio.
Raymond was a great teller of humorous stories and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Tallman Beardmore.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Weber Beardmore of the home; one daughter, Susan (Harv) Jackson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one son, Shawn Beardmore of Columbus, Ohio; two stepsons, James (Patty) Bortmas of Canfield, Ohio; Michael Bortmas of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two sisters, Sue Beardmore of Alexandria, Virginia; Marlene (Duane) Forste of Cincinnati, Ohio; a half-sister, Robyn (Mark) Madison of Mt. Tabor, Vermont.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022, where Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday April 15, 2022 at the funeral home.

Anna was a retired cook for the Switzerland of Ohio School District.  She was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, Ohio where she was a member of the Catholic Womens Club and the St. Francis Society.  She was also a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 5303, Woodsfield, Ohio.
She enjoyed playing cards and going to bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Brooks; her second husband, Paul Hinderlong; a daughter Monica Long; two brothers, Wayne and Fred Garrett; four sisters, Eleanor Stegner, Letha Landefeld, Kathryn Moore and Helen Bullock.
Surviving are two daughters, Jo Ann (Dwight) Brannon of Woodsfield, Ohio; Becky (Carey) Bott of Woodsfield, Ohio; one son, Charlie (Kay) Brooks of Woodsfield, Ohio; a son-in-law,Bill Long of Woodsfield,Ohio: seven grandchildren, Lori (Andy) Ring; Doug Brannon; Corey (Jamie) Bott; Casey (Natalie) Bott; Joe Long; Amy (Brian) Griffin;  J.C. Brooks.  Eleven great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and two on the way. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was a former secretary at the Farmers Home Administration, Marietta, Ohio and retired from the Social Security Administration, Marietta, Ohio.  She was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church, Marietta, Ohio; a member of Business Professional Association and the Pioneer Ladies Civitan Group.  She was a former volunteer at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, Ohio and was a former poll worker for the Washington County Election Board.
Minnie enjoyed traveling, gardening, flowers and mowing her own yard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Pfalzgraf and his wife Marjorie; a niece-in-law Jane Pfalzgraf.
Surviving are a sister Hazel (Maurice) Ritchie of Lewisville, Ohio, two nieces, Christina (Chris) Huck of Lewisville, Ohio; Carol (Mike) Love of Lower Salem, Ohio; three nephews, George (Michelle) Pfalzgraf of Lower Salem, Ohio; Steve Pfalzgraf of Lewisville, Ohio; Neil (Heather) Ritchie of Lewisville Ohio. Don enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and bowling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Bowman on January 3, 2019 and a brother, Richard Bowman in 2003.
Surviving are two sons, David Lee (Maureen) Bowman of Allen, Texas, Dwight (Connie) Bowman of Galena, Ohio; one step-daughter, Janice (James) Hammond of Athens, Alabama; one sister, Beverly Wolf of Wadsworth, Ohio; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Kenny enjoyed growing tobacco, making molasses and also watching NASCAR racing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hosey Kuhn, his son, Mark Kuhn, two brothers, Jimmy and Paul Kuhn.

Morris F. Morrison - March 05, 1935 - February 15, 2022

Obituary Preview: Morris F. Morrison, 86, Woodsfield, Ohio died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was born March 5, 1935, in Sycamore Valley, Ohio to Ray and Ruby Morrison.
Morris formerly owned and operated the Morrison General Store and Post Office in Sycamore Valley Ohio.  He retired as a postmaster in 2003 as many small post offices were closed in Ohio and finally closed the store in 2008.  He left his lifetime homestead in 2013 and moved to Woodsfield, Ohio where he resided until his death.
Morris was instantly loved by all who knew him, he was a kind and gentle soul who loved and lived life to its fullness.  After losing his ability to speak effectively years ago he would often be seen dancing with both adults and with children.  He was a loyal and avid fan of Skyvue and Monroe Central basketball, rarely missing a game.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lee Orians and a brother Robert Lewis Morrison.
Morris was also preceded in death by his wife, Oleta Jane Bates Morrison, who died May 1, 2007.
He is survived by a daughter, Misty Dawn Morrison of Woodsfield, Ohio; a grandson James Michael Potts of Woodsfield, Ohio; a sister, Serena Ann Morrison of Columbus, Ohio; 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield with services following immediately thereafter.  Burial will be in Creighton Ridge Cemetery at an undetermined later date.

She was a 1971 graduate of Woodsfield High School. She was a former employee of March Electric, Cambridge, Ohio; Warren & Son Processing, Whipple, Ohio and retired from Food for Less, Marietta, Ohio.  She attended First Baptist Church, Williamstown, W. Va...
Darlene enjoyed attending all activities that involved her grandchildren and including frequent shopping trips. She also enjoyed her summer trips to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and family Christmas at the family cabin.
Dar, had a servants heart and found joy in helping others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Frazee Dickerson; a brother, James “Jimmy” Frazee Jr.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Roger W. Zwick, whom she married November 6, 1976. One daughter, Angie (Chad) Yoho of Marietta, Ohio; one son, Derek (Shantel) Zwick of Lewisville, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Harold “Dick” Dickerson Jr. of Woodsfield, Ohio; five grandchildren who called her “Nana”, Taylor, Reese and Camryn Yoho; Jozie and Bryant Zwick; her forever best friend and forever side kick, Janet (Donnie) Zwick of Lower Salem, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was born at Marietta, Ohio on March 19, 1946 a daughter of the late Wick and Hattie Griffin Gardner.
She was a homemaker and was a former aide at the Woodsfield Nursing and Rehab. Center, Woodsfield, Ohio. Nancy was also a member of the Graysville United Methodist Church, Graysville, Ohio.
She enjoyed playing euchre and feeding her cow, Bambi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Larie Conner; a son, Christopher Donovan Jackson; a sister, Carolyn Carter; an infant sister, Helen Gardner.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy L. (Anna) Winland of Woodsfield, Ohio, Robert (Carolyn) Winland of London, Ohio; a step-son, Shawn Conner; a step-daughter, Candie Weber of Lewisville, Ohio; five sisters, Ruth Weckbacher of Marr, Ohio, Betty Eddy of Barnesville, Ohio, Juanita Householder of Minerva, Ohio, Ramona Weckbacher of Sycamore Valley, Ohio, Debbie Buckey of Sharon, Ohio; two brothers, Larry Gardner of Graysville, Ohio, Blane Gardner of Abu Dhabi; several grandchildren; step grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was born at Marietta Ohio on April 28, 1973 a son of Pheobe Richards Howell who survives of Stafford, Ohio and the late Larry Dalrymple Sr.
He was currently employed at the Tractor Supply Co. in Woodsfield, Ohio, was a former employee of McDonalds of Woodsfield, and Asplundh Tree Service.
Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved taking youth hunting. He also loved spending time with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandson Kenneth, they were never apart. Larry also enjoyed talking around late night bonfires and grilling out.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Wendy (Schultz) Dalrymple whom he married on February 14, 1997; two daughters, Desiree (Robert) Valentine of Beallsville, Ohio and Shania Dalrymple of Malaga, Ohio; one son, Larry Lee Dalrymple of Malaga, Ohio; a grandson, Kenneth West of Malaga, Ohio; a bonus mom, Barb Galloway and a bonus brother, Clayton (Jess) Galloway; three grand puppies and grand kitties; two bonus sons, Kevin (Stormie) Binegar and James (Jami) Green; seven bonus grandkids; three sisters, Judy (Gary) Piatt, Angel (Donny) Young, Edith (Charlie) Morgan; one brother, William (Amanda) Howell; two step-sisters, Tina Linton and Tammy (Bradley) Warner; two mothers-in-law, Sandy Phillips and Connie Drum, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Jim Howell, both paternal grandparents; both step-grandparents; two fathers-in-law, Samuel Schultz and James Drum; a brother-in-law, Larry Linton, and a bonus dad, Kenneth Galloway.

William “Bill” Dean Wells of Galena, Ohio, passed away on January 24, 2022 at the age of 60.
Bill was born to Dean and Betty Sue (Crum) Wells of Lebanon, Ohio on June 19, 1961. He was the first of three children. Bill graduated from Skyvue High School in 1979 and went on to attend Otterbein University.
Following college, Bill began working at Davis and Sons, Inc. Bill spent his entire career there, eventually becoming President and CEO of the company. Bill married his wife, Jackie, in 1999. Through his marriage, Bill gained a son, Patrick (Amy) Baker.
Bill was passionate about giving back to others. He sought to leave the world a better place and generously supported numerous organizations through his work as the Chairman and President of the Davis Foundation.
Though Bill worked closely with many organizations, no partnership was closer to his heart than his work with The Ohio State University. Bill generously supported the university’s advancements in medical research, athletics, and academics. Beyond his financial contributions, Bill also gave of his time. He often traveled with the Ohio State Men’s Baseball Team and organized fundraising events through the Buckeye Diamond Club. The Bill Wells Baseball Team Suite was dedicated in March 2021, honoring Bill’s long-standing support to scholar athletes.
Bill also served many years as a board member at the Franklin Park Conservatory and was recognized for his contributions with the dedication of the Wells Barn in 2015. He was a member of The Stafford Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, The Shriners, and The Bucket Bored.
Bill also enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons (Rowan and Gavin) who lovingly referred to him as “Coco Bill”. In his spare time, you could find Bill at The Rusty Bucket, enjoying a glass of Chivas, or sharing his season tickets with those he loved the most.  Bill’s benevolence, wit, and generous spirit will be missed by all.
Bill is preceded in death by his great-aunt, Dorothy M. Davis. Bill is survived by his parents, wife, son, grandsons, one brother, Phil (Terry) Wells of Lewisville, Ohio, one sister, Jill (Dean) Douglass of Fleming, Ohio, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio on Friday, January 28, 2022, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will then be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Porter officiating. During the visitation and services the family requests visitors to wear Ohio State apparel in Bill’s honor.
Interment to follow at the Masterton Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
Additionally, a celebration of his life will be hosted in Columbus, Ohio, with details to follow.

Donald Longwell - July 11, 1950 - December 16, 2021

He was born in New Martinsville, W. Va. on July 11, 1950 a son of the late Bernard Franklin Longwell and Delphia Adaline Childers Longwell.
Don was an Independent Insurance Agent for 38 years and owned the F. W. Schumacher Agency in Woodsfield, Ohio.  He was a 1968 graduate of River High School and attended West Liberty College studying history.  He loved history and politics.
Don was an avid supporter of his community with an emphasis on the Youth of Monroe County.
He served as president of his High School Senior Class and continued that title as a President of the Woodsfield Kiwanis, Board of Trade, MACO Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Monroe Central Sideliners for many years.
Don led the way for many projects at the Monroe Memorial Park and helped build the Jay Circosta Fieldhouse, new bleachers, fencing around the field and was instrumental in adding the handicapped viewing ramp.
He was a charter member of the Chamber of Commerce, Loyal Order of Moose, Woodsfield Ohio, Monroe Lodge 189 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Osiris Shrine Temple, Alladin Shrine Temple, Fraternal Order of Eagles and served on the Board of Directors of Dapper Dan.  He received the Robert S. McKelvey Memorial Award in 2004.  He was a founding member of the River Alumni Association where he served as its first president for 3 years.
Don was an avid animal lover and owned a hobby farm North of Woodsfield where he was honored by being selected Ohio Valley Cattlemen’s Association “Father of the Year” in 1994.
Don’s grandsons were the light of his life.  He supported Monroe Central Football until his oldest grandson graduated and returned to his Alma Mater RHS to follow his youngest grandson in both basketball and football.  There is nothing he would not do for these boys. Don never knew a stranger, always smiled from ear to ear and always had a quick wit.  And as a business man he saw success because he ran his business as he ran his life, putting others first!
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Pamela Tisher Longwell; two sons Matthew Ryan Longwell of Woodsfield, Ohio, Brian Franklin (Shelley) Longwell of Woodsfield, Ohio; his brother Dennis (Susie) Longwell of New Martinsville, W.Va.; and twin brother Ronald (Vicki) Longwell of Sardis, Ohio; two special grandsons Branden Franklin Longwell; Broderic Matthew Longwell both of Woodsfield, Ohio; two special nieces and two special nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, December 19, 2021.
