Obie Waldron, Jr. - November 15, 1925 - July 15, 2018

Obituary Preview: Obie Waldron Jr., son of the late Obie Waldron Sr. and Clary Lacy Waldron, was born November 15, 1925 in Parrish Alabama. Brother Waldron departed from this life July 15, 2018 after a extended illness. He accepted salvation through Jesus Christ and was baptized at a young age. He became a member of Peace Baptist Church located in Alabama. Obie’s christian journey led him to become a faithful servant of the Lord.
After graduating from high school, Brother Obie enlisted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Central Burma India. As a World War II veteran, Brother Obie received Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars along with other decorations. After completing military service Brother Obie moved to Cincinnati Ohio. He was united in matrimony to his beloved wife Lottie Smith. In their union they raised three lovely daughters; Crystal, Cornelia, and Brenda. Brother Obie was employed by both the Cincinnati Post and Cincinnati Enquirer Newspapers. He worked for the companies over three decades, retiring at age 65. During his years with the newspaper, Brother Obie was regarded with much respect by his co-workers and others.
Throughout his life, Brother Obie was sincere in helping others especially the elderly. After his retirement, Brother Obie helped deliver meals on wheels to the seniors. He really enjoyed helping the elderly and making them smile. Brother Obie was active in church and was selected to become a Deacon. His ministry included visiting the sick and shut-in and he was active with the children’s ministry. He was faithful in attending weekly prayer meeting and bible study.
After the passing of his wife at a early age, Brother Obie devoted himself with the raising of his three daughters. He leaves to mourn his passing his three daughters; Crystal(Warren), Cornelia (Mario), and Brenda(Woody). He also leaves behind a nephew; Henry(Linda) Johnson with children and a niece; Barbara Ann Johnson with children. Along with two grandchildren; Mario Jr. and Nicole, with a host of loving relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 10:30 am until 11:30 am, on Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3655 Harvey Avenue, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:30 am.
Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241.

She grew up in the West End and joined Progressive Baptist Church at a young age. After graduating from Walnut Hills High School, Pat attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and The University of Cincinnati. She then began employment with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and remained a faithful employee for thirty-eight years. Pat eventually married Willie Irby (who preceded her in death). To that union they were blessed with two children and she also gained four bonus children.
Throughout her life, Pat loved to spend time with her family and friends. She also LOVED sports, especially her Cincinnati Bengals. She loved to travel and sharing her beautiful smile with anyone she came in contact with. She also had a knack for event planning and found overwhelming joy in her grandchildren. She was a very strong and her strength was felt by those around her.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her loving and faithful mother Mary Barnett; one daughter Alicia Manley (Marcus); five sons Eric Irby, Adrian Irby, Willie Irby Jr. (Stacey), Antonio Grace (Trudi-Ann), Tyrone Grace; 23 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at the Progressive Baptist Church, 613 Prospect Place, Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Obituary Preview: Luanna Love, “Lonnie” as she was called, was born to the union of Jason Boyd Sr. and Margaret Boyd on November 12, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Jason and Margaret Boyd; nephew, Christopher Jason Boyd; and sister, Swanna Johnson. Lonnie departed this life to go home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2018.
In her early years Lonnie loved taking care of children. She enjoyed music, loved to sing, to dance, and she loved playing cards and dominoes with friends and family.
Lonnie received Christ in her home on Republic Street in Cincinnati Ohio where she lived and touched the lives of many for over 2 decades. She was known as “Lonnie Love from Repub”. As Lonnie learned more about Christ she was baptized and joined the West End Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Donald Henderson. She joined the choir and sang until more health problems developed.
Lonnie has battled many illnesses over her lifetime. She remained strong and resilient through them all. She was a fighter until her journey ended on this side of the grave when the Lord decided that it was time for her to find rest with Him.
Lonnie was loved by many. Among those who remain to cherish her memory is her only child, Deidrea (Leonard) Leary; two granddaughters, Jahmaica and Simone Leary; brother, Jason (Jacqueline) Boyd; sisters, Margaret Christine Boyd and Rosalind Stanford; nephews, Ronald and Orlando Boyd; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends.

Willie Buycks, Jr. - October 07, 1965 - July 04, 2018

Willie was also preceded in death by his brother Gregory Mitchell and other family members.
As a young child he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio with his family. He was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system and graduated from Withrow High School. As a young adult, he received a very special blessing when Christine Johnson gave birth to his first and only child Marcus. Then in 2007, he was blessed once again when he met a very special woman "Stephanie,"
who remained by his side through all of his trials and tribulations.
Willie has been a hard worker since the age of 15. He was a dedicated employee of the Zumbiel Packaging Company as a Press Operator for over 20 years, where his co-workers became his second family.
He loved to go fishing with his sisters Lynn and Vanette, Brother-in-law, Derrick, nephews Demetius "Meter" and Antwuan and many friends.
Family was important to Willie and he loved his dearly. He was always on board for any family gatherings whether near or far. He loved to BBQ with his all-time favorite being "Baby Back Ribs." He also enjoyed spending time with is childhood and long-time friends, whom he referred to as the Basement Boys, You all know who you are.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his son Marcus Johnson, his fiance' Stephanie Craig, three Step-daughters: Nyasha, DeLisa, Bobbi and their children: Gaveay and Ken'zee, two brothers: Donald Buycks, and Dion (Carlena) Buycks, four sisters: Bonnie Lynn (Derrick) Pruitt, Vanette Buycks-Ellis, Shannon (Henry) Buycks and Gussie Gray, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
