Brooklyn. Visitation will take place at Village Chapels, 67-67 Eliot Avenue, Middle Village, N.Y., from 3-8 pm on Thursday, February 22. A funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Hope on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:45 am with internment at St. John

cemetery to follow. A celebration of Dominic’s life will take place immediately thereafter at Barosa Restaurant, 62-29 Woodhaven Boulevard,

A revered member of his community and a beloved brother, uncle and cousin, Vladimir's journey from Croatia to the United States in 1972 marked the beginning of a life filled with dedication, passion, and the creation of lasting legacies.

Vladimir's professional achievements include his proud contribution to the construction of the Kosciuszko Bridge, a symbol of connection between Queens and Brooklyn, which opened in 2017. He was also particularly fond of his work at the Javits Center setting up the venue for major events and especially loved the boat and car shows. Beyond his professional endeavors, Vlad's life was marked by the joy he found in simple pleasures: the love for his family, the delight in a good meal, skiing, going to the beach, music, and his passion for professional tennis and soccer.

Vlad held a deep love for his homeland Croatia. His activism for Croatian independence reflected his unwavering belief in freedom and self-determination. An artist at heart, he found solace and inspiration in nature, especially in the beauty of beaches.

His family will remember him as a kind-hearted, gentle soul, always eager to offer help and support to others and never ask for anything for himself.

Vlad is survived by his 5 brothers and their spouses: Stipe Dizdar, Ive (Vinka) Dizdar, Pasko (Fanika) Dizdar, Marko (Nela) Dizdar and Tonci Dizdar, 3 nieces, 4 nephews, cousins, and a community that cherished his presence and will deeply feel his absence.

She was a lifelong resident of Queens and a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope in Middle Village. Maureen was an avid skier and enjoyed regular trips to Atlantic City. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Maureen was a remarkably kind woman who loved life and brought happiness to all. She is survived by her brother Mike and her nephew Michael as well as her lifelong dear friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Village Chapel in Middle Village NY from 2-7 on Wednesday January 17, 2024. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope on Thursday January 18, 2024 at 10:45 am with internment at Saint Raymond’s Cemetery to follow.

Belita will always be remembered by her favorite phrases: “Hola Lola”, “ Tarantantán” and “Salud, Amor y Dinero”, grandma you’ll be on our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 8th from 3pm-8pm.
