She was born March 18th, 1977, in Kankakee, the daughter of Dominga Mendoza and Irene married Frankie Guzman on August 8th, 1992. Irene was a homemaker and loving mother. She enjoyed cooking and being with her children and family. She was always smiling and laughing and could make everyone else laugh also. She was beautiful inside and out.
Surviving is her husband Frankie Guzman of Edinburg, her children Frankie Jr & Mia Guzman both of Edinburg, her mother Dominga Mendoza of San Juan TX, TX, five siblings Adam (Sylvia) Torres of Mercedes, TX, Arnold (Candace) Torres of St Anne IL, Abel Torres St Anne IL, Ysabel Jr (Myra) Torres of McAllen TX, Irma Torres of TX, her father and mother-in-law Nora and Larry Guzman and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts and uncles.
Irene loved her children with all her heart. She loved playing with them and teaching them.
Those we hold dear never truly leave us; they live on in our memories and through their love they brought into our lives.  Irene brought a lot of love and laughter. Cremation rights will be accorded and a private memorial will be held at a later date

Obituary Preview: Dionicio Guzman, 73, of Weslaco, TX passed on to be with the Lord at the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family on Feb 5, 2022.
Dionicio is survived by his wife Hortencia Guzman Saldana of almost 50 years, daughters Janie Guzman, Melissa (Roger) Rodriguez, son Javier (Angela) Guzman, son Jaime (Erica) Guzman, son Armando Guzman, and many loving grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces, nephews and extended family. Dionicio was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
Dionicio worked in Construction for over 30 years, he retired from McAllen Construction and loved spending time in his Ranchito El Rincon with his horses, lambs, chickens and pigs.  He would spend his days with the love of his life by his side listening to his favorite Pedro Infante and Javier Solis music.
A special thank you to the people at Greater Valley Hospice in McAllen for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Vaughan Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 9:00 PM at Vaughan Funeral Home in Donna on Tuesday, Feb 8.
Funeral services for Dionicio will be at St Piux Catholic Church in Weslaco on Wednesday, Feb 9 from 2:00pm.
Dionicio will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mercedes, TX.
