She passed peacefully in her sleep at home Thursday April 18th 2024 just 3 weeks shy of her 103rd birthday. She is preceded death by her husband Horace William Menne (2000) and her son Roger Menne (2006) her brothers Elemer(1921)James (1997) Howard (2004) Jack(2009)and William (2022)sisters Helen(2018) Melva (2021)and her granddaughter Rebecca Wickerd (2004). She is survived by her son Richard Menne of Lancaster and daughter Alice Vigil of Palmdale Her brothers Larry Kasney and Ken Kasney grandson Raymond Vigil and Rodney Vigil both from Palmdale, Micah Menne,Jarrod Menne and granddaughter Jaime Menne, Rebecca Vigil and great grandsons Timothy Carter Tommy Wickerd and 2 great great granddaughters Nicole and Kendall Wickerd. She grew up on a farm in Medicine Lodge Kansas where she helped her mom raise her siblings. In 1945 she met Horace William Menne and after just few months they were married December 31.1945 and went on to have there 3 children and later settled down in Palmdale where she lived till day she passed .

Obituary Preview: Jean Marie Moreno Postigo, born in Santa Monica, California on June 3rd, 1955, passed away peacefully in hospice care at the age of 68 on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, in Lancaster, California.
After spending her childhood in Santa Monica, Jean Marie relocated to the San Fernando Valley and settled in Lancaster twenty years ago.
She is survived by her six children: Monica Del Valle, Linda Moreno, Yolanda Avila, Teresa Moreno, Lorena Garcia, and Miguel Garcia. Her legacy lives on through her 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Devoted to her family, Jean Marie was actively involved in the lives of many of her grandchildren. She enjoyed a successful 20-year career selling Avon products. Beyond work, she found great pleasure in crafting, particularly textiles and fabric art. When she wasn't creating with her sewing machine or embroidering, Jean Marie could be found engrossed in a crime novel or another captivating book. Additionally, she had a sweet tooth and especially loved strawberry pancakes.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 8th, at Valley of Peace Cremation & Burial in Lancaster, California.

Obituary Preview: Richard passed away March 12th, 2024. A beloved man rose to the Kingdom of Heaven to be with his mother, sister and dear son Donald. He is remembered by his daughters Tanya and Michelle and his grandchildren, Devin, Maryssa, Joshua, Cheyenne, Ashlee, Bree, Carissa, Donnie and countless nieces and nephews.
All of whom will carry with them the memories of joy and laughter he left them with.
He enjoyed the twilight years of his life at the Sierra Retirement Village where he made wonderful connections with his fellow tenants. For many, the Antelope Valley will never be the same without him.
Richard’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 6th at Sierra Retirement Village, 43321 Sierra Highway, Lancaster, CA 93534 in the rec room from 2pm to 6pm. There will be snacks and refreshments, some music and spots to visit and reminisce.

Carol Ann Kellogg - March 12, 1942 - March 08, 2024

Obituary Preview: Carol Ann Kellogg. 81, passed suddenly early on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster CA.
Carol was born to James and Mildred Chiarella in Boston, Massachusetts in 1942. Her father worked at the Boston Shipyard and her mother raised their 5 daughters and one son. The Chiarella's were a Catholic family.
Carol met her husband James, a Navy sailor in Revere Massachusetts in 1960 and had their first child in 1962. Carol, a faithful Navy wife raised 5 children while her husband was often at sea and frequently moving through the United States.
After a career of Navy life the family finally settled in Palmdale California where they lived until their deaths. Carol's husband, James worked at the various aerospace firms in the Valley. He passed away in September of 2023. Carol had lost a grandchild, Shannon in the summer of 2022. The death of James was further sorrowful and seemed to aggravate underlying health problems for Carol leading to Heart Failure.
Carol's 2nd son John had passed away in 2008, The remaining 4 children, unaware of any health concerns, were at her bedside at AV Hospital when she passed. A heartbreaking series of events that has shocked us all.
Carol was full of Love and Kindness for all that knew her. She was forgiving to a fault. She spent time with her family and we will forever miss her.
Carol was an avid gardener and always added color to the various naval bases and housing where she and her family dwelt. A serious Elvis Presley fan, she never lost her love of 50's bebop and early rock and roll. She was very fond of dogs and always had at least one faithful companion. Carol was also an artist. She loved knitting and crochet but her passion was in painting and she painted hundreds of oils, pastels, and acrylics that adorn the family home.
She is survived by her Son James and Daughters Karen, Kelli, and Kimberly, as well as her 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Greatgrandchild with her life spanning 5 generations.
Her Love and Kindness will be missed by us all.

He went to college, then moved to California where he lived out the rest of his life. Along the way he had two sons and a daughter. Marshall Mahurin lll, Elizabeth Mahurin, and Michael Mahurin.
Marshall was a hard working business man and fulfilled various positions in the community. Anyone that knew him felt he was a bit of a philosopher as well.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May his soul enjoy eternal peace and love in the kingdom of God where he will be reunited with us once again.

Born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Ron was the oldest of 7 surviving siblings, Roxanne Bergstrom, Rhoda Horosko, Russell Morgan, Raymond Morgan, Ralph Morgan and Ruth Williams. Survived by his 3 children Linda McCabe, Judy O’Rourke and Glenn Morgan and grandchildren Kelly McCabe, Kevin McCabe, Jason O'Rourke, Shannon O'Rourke and the late Ryan O'Rourke.
Ron was a pioneer in the computer industry in its infancy, making his mark by designing computer hardware in its earliest stages. He was also recruited by NASA to fix equipment that was used in the space program.
In his later years, Ron brought his technical skills to the medical field and de-bugged complex heart monitoring systems. He was a member of Mensa. Ron enjoyed astronomy. Often using his self-built telescope for stargazing.
His favorite hobbies included archaeology and genealogy and of course his love of travel. He loved taking his family on excursions and travel adventures.

Obituary Preview: Thomas Lee Cribbs, 82, of Lake Hughes, California passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 15, 2023. He was born August 29, 1941 to George and Edna (Walbeck) Cribbs in Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Charlene.
Tom, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather is survived by his wife, Jennifer; sons, Michael (Dawn) and Jeff (Tammy) and daughter, Tori Nicolas (Max); 8 grandchildren; Ty Cribbs, Kacy Mendes, Steven Nicolas, Alissa Gonzales, Breanna Cribbs, Tanner Cribbs, Kaitlyn D’Elisio, Brandin Nicolas; 13 great grandchildren and Uncle Tom to numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom graduated from high school in Torrance, CA. He worked for North American Aviation/Rockwell for 26 years. He contributed to the Apollo, Space Shuttle, and B-1 programs in Downey and Palmdale, CA, Tulsa, OK, and Kennedy Space Center, FL. He also worked at Northrop Grumman on the B2, in Palmdale.
In 1987 he went to work for himself as owner/operator of California Quarry Products. He sold the business in 1993 and semi-retired. He never sat still. He renovated 31 properties and kept or flipped them before it was a thing.
In recent years, he enjoyed entering his antique cars in shows and took many trophies. He liked to play Keno in Laughlin and had a place in Lake Havasu, AZ that he loved to spend time at.
Tom had an easy-going personality that allowed him to make friends wherever he went. He had a great laugh and loved spending time with family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Lake Hughes, early next year.
Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Doberman Pinscher Rescue in Fillmore, California.

Shana attended San Fernando High School in San Fernando, California upon graduation she attended Cal State Fullerton. During this time she met her first husband , James Hamp Geran. They married and moved to Louisiana. In 1982, they had their first child, Jadiliana Jalia Geran. In 1984, Darius James Geran was born.
In 1986 they moved back to California and co-parented their 2 children. During this time, they were fortunate to have the support & love of their families to help raise their children.
During this time, Shana returned to college at California State Northridge and received her Bachelors degree in English. Soon after she pursued her Real Estate license and Notary License in the State of California.
In 2006, she married her second husband, William “Bill” Henry Schirmer. They resided in Palmdale, California. Shana was preceded in death by Bill on April 5, 2023.
Shana leaves behind her two children, Jadiliana Estrada and Darius Geran, son-in-law, Juan Estrada and three grandchildren; Ramon James Estrada (15), Jaden Andrew Estrada (13) and Ryan Alexander Estrada (9).
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Bakersfield National Cemetery to honor her life and her commitment to family.

A native of Aurora Illinois, Jim served his Country for 60 years. Joining the US Navy in 1958 where he served in Vietnam. After 24 years in the military he continued his service in civilian life, in defense of the Nation until his retirement in 2013. A strong Patriarch, He was a devout and loving husband for 63 years having married his adoring wife Carol, in 1960
He is survived by his wife Carol, his Son James and Daughters Karen, Kelli, and Kimberly.
Having suffered the loss of his youngest Son, John in 2008, and his Grandchild Shannon in 2022, He was faced with a cancer diagnosis in 2022 which he faced with grace and dignity for the last 14 months.
His legacy will continue through his remaining 4 Children as well as his 13 Grandchildren, 15 Great-GrandChildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild with his life spanning 5 generations.
Jim was an avid reader and enjoyed Fantasy & Science Fiction, American history, Exploring the family lineage, and spending time with his family. His early life was spent working with Arabian Horses, a passion he never lost.

of Lancaster, CA passed away on August 27, 2023.
Funeral service will be held at The Valley of Peace on September 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. The Valley of Peace is located at 44901 10th St West Lancaster, CA 93534.
Rich was born in Walnut Grove, CA to Richard Rightmire III and Cheryl Murdaugh on June 11, 1968. He graduated in 1986 from Breman High School in Midlothian, Illinois. During the winter of ’83, Rich became a professional BMX rider and received many awards and trophies. His passion for riding overflowed so much, he also opened a bike shop at the young age of 25 called Precision Cycling in hopes to spark an interest in others to get into BMX riding. Rich then went on to working for the railroads for many years. Eventually, Rich worked for Thrifty and finally Rite Aid Distribution Center as transportation manager for 9 years until his retirement due to PLS and Parkinson’s disease.
He enjoyed working on cars and watching Nascar and football, especially his beloved Chicago Bears. In 2019, he went on a cruise that his best friend Moses planned in his honor. Rich received a Lifetime Achievement Award, handed to him by the captain of the ship. He was touched to receive such an award from friends that he hadn’t seen in years.
Rich was truly a one of a kind person. He was happy with the little things in life, such as riding and racing his bicycle, drinking his diet Dr. Pepper, and eating his candy and pizza. He also loved driving around in his Challenger while listening to Tom Petty or Jim Croce.
Rich is survived by his loving fiancé, Jennifer Nelson of Lancaster, CA, children Rebecca Weaver, Samantha Barbee, Amanda Blum, and Richard Allen Rightmire, five grandchildren that he loved very much, mother Cheryl Murdaugh of Illinois, and stepfather Harold Murdaugh of Illinois. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Warder Rightmire III and grandpa Jack.

She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren Rose, Amy, Lissa, Joshua, Nathan, Darian, Abigail, Oliver, Benjamin, Savannah, Corina Rebecca, Raymond and Bobby.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her father George, her mother Emma, and her husband Robert. She is also preceded by her sisters Donna and Jackie as well as her sons Stephen, Robert Jr, and Randy, and grandson Adam.
Lorraine was blessed with a beautiful life full of wonderful family and friends. She will forever hold a special place in the hearts of the many lives she touched. Lorraine is now a beautiful guardian angel that will forever watch over her family. She will definitely be missed.

Rebecca Lynn Robinson - September 28, 1948 - August 17, 2023

Obituary Preview: Rebecca Lynn Robinson went to her eternal reward on August 17, 2023. Robinson, 74, was surrounded by loved ones when she passed, following a brief illness. A long time Northrop Gruman employee, Robinson took great pride in being part of the “B-2 Team’s” aerospace success.
Born Rebecca Lynn Aulerich on September 28, 1948 in Harrison, PA, she moved to California as a young girl. After graduating from Anaheim High School in 1966, Robinson worked in retail before marrying Gary Robinson in July, 1977. Following her husband’s untimely passing, she moved to California’s High Desert and began a career with Northrop Gruman in Lancaster, CA.
At the midpoint of her career, Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Redlands (‘95). When not occupied with her cats, reading Janet Evanovich novels, watching Sandra Bullock films, or attending hockey games with friends, “Aunt Becky” was working to solidify her reputation as the Southwest’s Greatest Gift Giver. Robinson also was a mainstay with the Quartz Hill Women’s Club, serving in multiple positions over the years.
Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Margaret Aulerich, her brother, Richard Aulerich, and her husband, Gary Robinson. Aunt Becky is survived by her cat, Spencer, and her great nephew and niece, Noah and Brooke Aulerich, whom she always kept in a special place in her heart. Finally, her loss is mourned by her Antelope Valley family including Sandy Garland, Kevin, Cheryl, Emily, and Joseph Mahady, Dean, Sarah, Maddison, and Heather Treusdell. They will all miss her greatly and her seven-layer-dip at every holiday.

Brian was born in Glendale, Ca. to Alfred Henry Grunwald and Mardell Elizabeth Hager on the 10th of July 1957. He was baptized Baptist in Walnut Ridge AR. where his mother was born. Brian went to school at Polytech high and Pierce College. After serving in the Navy as a color guard, he worked years in the aerospace industry in Burbank then the Antelope Valley where his Palmdale home was. Brian then worked as semitruck driver. And later 13 years as a dedicated caregiver for his beloved mother.
Brian never married or had children, but enjoyed his beer with many years of watching sports and playing videos with his nephews. His passion was baseball because his father Al was a professional baseball player. He also loved anything to do with the VA. Brian is survived by his brothers Douglas and Rick Grunwald, his brother Vic McDaniel’s wife Terri, Nephews Jason, Jake (Taryn), Matt, Rob Grunwald, Brandon, Ian McDaniel, and niece- Amanda Grunwald. And Jake and Taryn’s 5 kids, Sawyer, Tenley, Charlotte, Bailey, and Abby.

She married Henry “Hank” Butterfield November 4, 1970 and they were together for 30 years. Linda is survived by her five children, Douglas Holland, Dana Leonards, Bridget, Christine (Todd Simes), and H. Patrick (Kimberly) Butterfield, as well as her 10 grandchildren; Dougie Holland, Patrick, Sabrina & Keara Hennessey, Jaden & Jared Butterfield, Christen & Jacen Arman, Jacob & Troy Butterfield and two great grandsons; Kalon Holland and Lincoln George, as well as her many nieces, nephews and many extended family members & friends that she embraced as her own.
Linda had an entrepreneurial spirit. She was in the manufactured housing business for over 4 decades, and also a licensed Realtor, and General Contractor. The Butterfields lead the way in the affordable housing industry.
She was always up for fun and quick to laugh. Linda enjoyed traveling, art, painting, reading, camping, playing cards, Chinese checkers, board games, dinner with friends and family, going to the beach, flirting with anybody in uniform and making people laugh with her wonderful sense of humor. Over Linda’s lifetime she enjoyed great adventures traveling to Japan, Mexico, Europe, Brazil, Australia, Switzerland, Hawaii, cruising the Caribbean and road trips across the United States.
She is preceded in death by her mother Edith, ex-husband Hank, her sister Lori & her grandson Biagio "Bo" Nave.

Those of you that had the pleasure of knowing Esther knew that when you walked into her home, you were a part of the family as well. She was the tiniest and sweetest person with a heart that was larger than life. She passed while protecting her 17-year-old son Christopher like the mamma bear that she was. Esther dedicated her life to her husband and children. She lovingly cared for her husband throughout his illness to the end. Esther tirelessly volunteered at all her children’s schools for 23 years. Duties ranged from instructional assistant, PTA involvement, working with special needs children, to crossing guard. She volunteered at St. Junipero Serra Catholic church for many years as a religious education teacher. Her kindness and love were not limited to humans. It extended to all her four-legged furry friends. She had immense love for them and was always trying to find homes for rescue/stray animals and for the ones she could not find a home, they became hers. Esther worked as an auditor for three years and Bank of America for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Joseph L., her father Julian T., Grandmother (Itos) Guadalupe C., and uncle Justin C. She will be loved and remembered always by her mother, Trini T., and her children; Natalia C. (Jon), Alexandria N., David D., Michelle S. (Jacob), Joseph L., Christopher R., Michael R., and Sarah R. Obituary Preview: William “Bill” was born in Chicago, Illinois, to William and Dorris Schirmer. He was the oldest of their 2 children.
Bill attended Proviso West High School in Chicago. In 1965 after graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps on the buddy system with his friend Danny Jefferies. Immediately after boot camp as we were at war he was deployed to Vietnam. He proudly served in Vietnam for 13 months as a Field Radio Operator.
Upon his return from his deployment he enrolled in college to pursue his Real Estate license. After becoming a successful Real Estate Agent, he ventured forward to become a Real Estate Broker opening Schirmer Real Estate in Carlsbad, California.
In addition to his real estate career, Bill was licensed in California and Arizona as a certified Hearing Aid Dispenser. Bill served this community while working at Costco for many years.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 17 years , Shana and his 2 children, Danny and Cherise and his 2 step-children, Jadiliana and Darius.
A Celebration of Life will be held with his immediate family at the Bakersfield National Cemetery to honor his service to country.

Obituary Preview: Darryl Michael Wilkerson Jr. was born March 17, 1985, in Gardena, California to Tracy Lemle and Darryl Michael Wilkerson Sr. Darryl was raised in Carson, living in Los Angeles and finally Lancaster, where he resided with his mother, grandmother and sister. Darryl graduated from Gardena High School and attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College. Darryl became a culinary line chef working at 5-star restaurants and resorts, and lastly University of Southern California. Later in life, he also worked with his uncles, Troy and Ronald in construction for many years. Darryl was passionate about cooking with love and bringing people together.
Darryl was curious and mischievous when growing up. One time, when he was three years old, he bit his grandmother’s earrings because she did not give him a second helping of candy. Because of Darryl’s size, he was big as a young child, he was put in a basketball league at the age of six. Later he attended the Boys and Girls Club where he continued to play travelling basketball on the Hawkeyes team. He loved to play basketball and played until end of his junior year in High school, he was slowly taking the ball down court and was affectionately nicknamed “Turtle” by teammates and friends.
Darryl was a devoted person when it came to family and friends, especially when it came to his mother, they were very close. He also loved his daughter Shaniyah. Darryl was best known for giving the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Darryl had the biggest heart and had a desire to give back to the community. He often fed the hungry and stated he learned it from his mother.
Darryl loved listening to music, watching the latest movies/tv shows, comedy YouTube shows and spending time with his people. Darryl was always a ball of joy and carried a positive mindset about life. Darryl always had the biggest smile on his face and loved cracking jokes every day. Darryl was a very sociable person and loved pushing the culture forward. Darryl was known in the community for being a supportive and kind person to everyone. Darryl is survived by his loving mother Tracy, loving grandmother Barbara, loving sisters Tyaysha and Ashley, loving niece and nephew Sky and Cedric III and his loving daughter Shaniyah and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Darryl is preceded in death by his great Grandmothers Mildred A. Brown and Realma Crayton, Grandfather Bobby Mccalipp and Grandmother Lois Wilkerson.
Darryl always looked at things on the brighter side and he will be remembered in love and light.
Darryl quietly passed away on April 3, 2023, from a raging infection.

Born in the Fall of 1950 in Northern California to Karl & Kay Christensen, the forth of eight children. Dave graduated Paraclete High School in Lancaster California in 1969. To cover the cost of tuition he worked after school as a night custodian. He met the love of his life, Sharon, at a Halloween party in 1967. They married in 1971. Dave and Sharon bought their house in Antelope Acres the Spring of 1979 and it has been their home ever since. They raised three children and half the neighborhood in that house over the past 40+ years. Shooting hoops in the driveway and hosting huge pool parties, it has been lovingly dubbed “Camp David”. He was a prominent member of the local community church where he served for years on the board. He was a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, and drove the bus on Sunday mornings to make sure all the kids in the Acres made it to the church on time. Dave could always be found in the kitchen during church and community potlucks. He supported his family working in the Tile Industry for more than four decades where he mentored and trained countless people. Many of these proteges remain in the tile trade today. Dave was like a father to many and a friend to all. A true Patriarch and man of God. Dave fiercely loved his family. He worked hard his entire life and always put others before himself. Dave is survived by his wife Sharon and children Katie and her husband Cory, Olivia and her husband Michael, Zach and his wife Ashley, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, father-in-law, four sisters and their families. We’ll be wearing Blue (Dave’s favorite color) as we celebrate this truly extraordinary man. Please join us! Pat relocated to the Antelope Valley in 1971 with her husband and three children to open and manage the local Kirby Vacuum Shop in Lancaster, CA.
Over the past 40 years, she worked in many fields, including managing the Kirby Shop, Real Estate Agent, Bookkeeper for multiple agencies, and Debt Collector for Orange County Credit Union. She enjoyed camping at the beach, music, dancing, and spending time with her family.
Pat is survived by her daughters: Christine Widmer of Lancaster, Kathy Wells (L. Obituary Preview: Roland Lawrence Patin was born on April 18, 1931 in Los Angeles, California. He was the fifth of six children born to Ferdinand Patin and Juanita Ricard. Preceded in death by, Juanita "Babe", Ferdinand, Jr., Claire, Pauline and Grace.
Although very mischievous, at very young age, Roland found his calling in faith in Christ and never wavered to which we all can attest. He attended St. Lawrence Catholic School, Cathedral High School, served in the Korean War stationed in Germany where he played football for the Army. As a young man, he was excited to travel to Europe where he visited many of the churches and cathedrals throughout Europe he enjoyed reading about.
On July 24, 1954, Roland married his beloved Ynez Davidson and on June 17, 1955, they welcomed their first son Gerard, soon followed by Maryrose, Joseph, Martin, John and David.
Roland was an uncomplicated man who enjoyed the simplicity of life. A simple but bountiful home celebration with family is all it took. Known for his love of flavorful and hot foods, particularly those prepared by his wife Ynez and family. He also enjoyed sports, reading, and carpentry work with his father. He was deeply committed to his family and church setting the standard for all to follow.
Employed by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner, he loved interacting with people from all walks of life. His ability to make connections with perfect strangers often lead to long term friendships. Known as “Grandpa Roland” he will be deeply missed by Summer Rose, Dominique, Crystal, Gerard, Jr., Nicole, Jason & great grandsons, Joseph, Jr., and Isaiah.
He leaves his six children, Gerard and Brenda Patin, Maryrose and David Labeaud (dec.), Joseph Patin, Martin and Yanti Patin, John Patin and Juan Parra, David Patin and Richard Steinhart. Six grandchildren, and two great grandsons and a host of beloved relatives and friends. The Patin family would like to thank everyone for your kind expressions of sympathy gifts of love and prayers. To our brother Joey, your unwavering dedication to daddy’s wellbeing and companionship meant the world to us. Thank you.
